Later that night, one of the most brilliant police officers in the force arrived in search of a drug mafia gang. Yes, Nikhil and his force were around adamant about catching them today. Recently, drug consumption in the city had increased tremoundsly especially among college students. They have been giving a slip every time Nikhil and his team get close to catching them, but today Nikhil and his team will catch them. 

This is not how Nikhil had planned to spend his Wednesday afternoon. Instead, Nikhil had plans to catch up with his sister Arpana,  brother-in-law Arjun and their little minions who've just arrived in the city from their two months dreamy holiday in Europe. 

Nikhil kept on straining to see through the heaving rain; Nikhil hated rain with a passion just when he was cursing his fate to be in the rain at this instance he heard a soft groan, to Nikhil it seemed as if it was a women's. Just as he followed the direction of the groan Nikhil saw a flash of movement towards his left, immediately Nikhil pointed his gun in the direction of the movement, however, it was of no use as Nikhil couldn't see anyone there. Therefore, Nikhil decided to walk further towards the direction of the groan, occasionally looking over his shoulders. In a few seconds time, something else caught Nikhils attention, it was the sound of some cloth being shredded into piece as Nikhil approached towards the sound even further Nikhil heard weird sounds, moans and groans. Something didn't feel right to Nikhil therefore Nikhil turned his transmitter on and whispered 'Need backup, behind the market. Over.'

Nikhil observed the surroundings, no one seems to be in sight. However, the voices and crackling of the men became clearer. Quickly Nikhil looked around from behind the brick wall, ensuring he was hidden very well. From his view Nikhil could see two men looking down at something, they were partially naked, when Nikhil looked from a closer ankle Nikhil saw two more men, one had a giant rod bar in his hand and the other one was sat on top of something with maniac grins sparking in his eyes. Suddenly, something caught Nikhil's attention ... A girl was lying on the ground fully naked. They were raping her!

"Shit" Nikhil muttered under his breath. He couldn't wait any longer for his force, Nikhil himself had to take action before further damage is done to that poor soul, so Nikhil decided to go in and confront them. Nikhil slowly came out from where he was hiding and slowly walked towards the men, all of them were panting heavily as Nikhil approached them. 

"Hands behind your back", Nikhil shouted at the men. The nasty men looked up in terror, they then looked down at the poor girl they had just raped and back at Nikhil's face and finally looked at each other before scrambling to run as far away from Nikhil . Nikhil did give the men a chance to surrender without any blood shed but because they weren't cooperating Nikhil's loaded gun became handy. Without wasting any time Nikhil pulled the trigger three times, each time aiming at one of the four of hid preys calves, the four of them fell to the ground and were writhing in pain. Immediately Nikhil rushed to the girl who they had just raped, he was horrified by the sight he saw. The girl was covered in blood, barely any clothes were covering her. That's when Nikhil noticed a white saree next to the girls body, the saree wasn't in a best condition however, it was the only piece of cloth Nikhil could find to preserve the girls modesty. Once he had wrapped the saree around the girls body Nikhil pressed on the transmitter once again to request an ambulance. Very soon Nikhil's back up forces arrived, this helped to relieve Nikhil's pressure a little as the team will now deal with the men for further questioning. 

In between all this mess the rain had only got worse, to prevent the girl from drenching even further Nikhil gently lifted the unconscious girls body and went near a shelter. That's when it clicked that something about this girl was familiar, slowly Nikhil removed the strands of hair from her face and examined the blood stained face closely. Nikhil was beyond shocked when the realised who the girl was  ...

"SAKSHI!!"

For the first time in Nikhil's colleague Mr Gautham life he saw his senior officer crying, with a pained expression. Yes Nikhil couldn't believe his eyes what he had just seen, the Sakshi who was once everything to him has been brutally raped. Nikhil clutched the limp of the body of the girl to his chest and cried his heart out.

Maybe one day,

We'll meet again and explain to each other what really happened. Maybe one day we'll finally understand . Until then, I hope you live your best life and I really hope you do the things you always wanted to do.
