The Stowaway
(The next day...)
*February 18th*
I was sleeping in the front seat of the car until I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Mmm..."
"Sis. Wake up." Rachel coaxed to me.
"Hmm..?" I hummed and opened my eyes to see that we were somewhere other than Burbank. "Where are we?" I stretched my arms and legs.
"I've drove 10 hours away from Burbank. But we're here in Salt Lake City."
"Where the buffalo roam?"
(Wakko: Hehe, I knew you were gonna write that there Author-Chan. 😄
Author-Chan: I tried. 😊)
"Yeah." she giggled.
"Okay I'm up. I'll take over the next driving shift when we're ready to hit the road again."
"Okay sis. The others went to look around this place a bit."
I got out of the car carefully and closed the door of the car pretty hard.
"Ow!" a voice yelled out.
"Huh?! Who said that?!" I took out my blade from my chest fur.
"Help! Oh please help!" the voice muffled.
I looked around to see a tail sticking out of the car door and my lab coat was snagged on there. "Huh?" I opened the door and reached out into my pocket to pull out a mouse. "My gosh!" I gasped.
"Hello doctor, Narf!"
"Pinky?! What are you doing in my doctor coat pocket?!"
"Oh my, it's Pinky!" Rachel said and got her claws out. "What was he doing in your pocket?"
"That's what I was gonna ask him. Calm down sis."
"Okay..." she growled softly.
I put Pinky on the palm of my paw and looked at him. "So what brings you into my pocket you sneaky mouse?"
"Uhh..." he rubbed the back of his neck. "Hehe... I wanted more cheese. Narf!"
I gasped and covered my mouth with my free paw. "You were in my pocket this whole time?"
He nodded. "Yes."
"Oh dear. Then I guess you've heard everything..."
"Yeah. But I'm allergic to petroleum jelly."
"No I mean I got fired from my job."
"You set your job on fire?! That would be something Brain would do, poit!"
"No as in the boss didn't want me to work there anymore."
"Ohh... well that's just awful!"
"It is..." I looked down.
"Don't be sad Doctor. I know you'll be okay."
"Thanks Pinky. I appreciate it." I rubbed the end of his chin.
"So about Warnerstock... can I come along too? My mother actually lives there in a place called... I think it's Acme Falls."
"That's where we're going to as well. Since it's kinda too late to turn back to bring you back. Sis? What do you say?" I asked her.
"Well... we're kind of on the run anyway. So I guess he can come." Rachel shrugged.
"Well, looked like you're coming with us. Welcome to the crew Pinky." I smiled.
"Egad I'm so excited to see my mother poit!" he jumped on my paw.
I giggled at his reaction as I felt a set of arms around me. I looked over to see that it was Wakko. "Hey hon."
"Morning honey. Feeling better?" he asked me.
"Yeah. A little better."
"That's good." he said as he looked at my hand. "Babe, what's Pinky doing here? Wait, is the Brain here?!"
"No honey. It was Pinky by himself. He accidentally stowed away in my jacket for more cheese. I just found him in there 5 minutes ago."
"Ohh, so I guess he's coming with us?"
"He wanted to come. His mother lives in Acme Falls."
"Oh. Well... I guess he can come with us." Wakko kissed my cheek.
"Thank you. Hey sis, is everyone ready?" I asked her.
"Yeah. We're ready." she smiled. "And I've adjusted the steering wheel for you." she said as she was holding Rakko.
"Thank you."
"Umm sis? Do you mind taking over the fort for a bit..?" she blushed. "I wanna be alone with Yakko."
I was wondering why she was blushing, but I smiled. "Okay sis. You and Yakko could have some fun." I said as I took my nephew. "I'll take care of Rakko while you're gone."
"We're gonna go into the forest." Yakko said.
"Sounds like fun." Wakko said.
"We'll be back in about an hour or 2. Then we can get going." Rachel said. "The next city is gonna be Denver, Colorado."
"Alright sis." I nodded.
"Take care of little Rakko for us." Yakko said as he walked with Rachel hand in hand.
"I will. Say bye bye to mommy and daddy Rakko. Say bye bye." I smiled as I made Rakko wave to his parents bye bye for him.
"Aww~! He's such a cute baby! Poit!" Pinky wagged his tail.
"His name is Rakko. He's my nephew."
"Ooh..." Rakko giggled as he grabbed Pinky.
"Oh!" Pinky gasped.
"Oh no no no baby. Pinky's not a toy." I said as I got a hold of Pinky from his hand.
Rakko sniffled and then he started to cry. "Waahhh!"
"Oh no." Pinky covered his ears.
"Hold on Pinky. I got this." I said as I went into my chest fur and took out a pacifier, placing it over his mouth. "Here you go sweetie."
"Mmm." Rakko hummed as he sucks on the pacifier.
"Wow. It worked. Great job doctor. You did it!" Pinky clapped for me.
"Thanks Pinky. He's just a baby." I said as I went into the driver's seat and sat Rakko on my lap.
"He looks really cute when he's like that." Pinky said as he slid down on my arm and onto my belly. "Hmm? Is it just me or did I step on a bouncy ball?" he said as he was jumping a little on my belly.
I giggled. "No Pinky. That's my belly."
"Your belly is so big. Why is that?" he looked at me.
"Well, I'm gonna have a baby."
He gasped. "You're gonna be a mommy?!"
"Yes."
He lit up and did a little dance. "My gosh that's wonderful Narf! I can't wait to see it!"
I laughed as I saw him dancing on my belly. "That tickles."
He hugged my belly. "You'll be a great mom. I just know it, poit!"
I smiled and rubbed the top of his head. "Thanks Pinky. I can't wait for my child to arrive either." I said to him and looked at Rakko falling asleep. "Sleep well Rakko." I kissed the top of his head.
I was glad that we were going on this trip to get away from what happened to me back in Burbank. But I was glad to be out of there to help my new family in need. And I was determined to clear my name and find out the real culprit who put me through this fiasco.
