Chapter 2: Who Was Loki and Thor?

"What do you mean?" I asked scared to a small child maybe around the age of  9.

"I'm saying were lost brother." The boy with the black hair and emerald green eyes hissed as he tightened his hold on a small knife.

"How can we be lost." My voice sounded young, maybe at the age of 7.

"This happens Percy." The boy said as he put a calming hand on my shoulder.

"I'm scared Loki." I said as I noticed I was also holding this knife with whitened knuckles.

"Thor will find us soon." The black haired child said.

"Is that better or worse." I asked feeling nervousness clawed at my chest more specifically where my heart was as I fought to not cry.

"I know you're scared Percy, I'm sorry we got in this mess." The Green-Eyes child said.

I heard a sniffle and knew it was mine, "It's okay Loki, I just want to see mommy again and go back to bed." I said and felt arms wrap around me in a secure hold.

"I know brother, I know." He said as I felt his hands rub my back in a calming motion as we sat underneath a large tree in a dense forest.

I woke up with a staggered breath, feeling my heart racing as I recalled the dream.

My name was Percy? The other child-Loki, why was he there. What did he mean brothers? Who was Thor? Why would he finding us be bad?

Questions swarmed my mind and I clutched it as I felt it start to hurt. Remembering where I was, I quickly got to my feet and saw that I was clutching a sword.

When did I get this?

Shaking my head I instantly reached into my pocket and produced this pen cap. Without realizing it sooner, I put the pen cap on the sword and then watched mesmerized as it shrunk down into a pen.

It felt so natural.

Why was it so natural?

Who was I and why don't I remember anything?

Sighing I looked around feeling like I was in a place too long and trudged forward into the forest that was in front of me.

But it felt wrong...terror was spiking through me with each step and I found myself more paranoid than I should be.

What was wrong with this place?

Why did my arms keep twitching toward the pen.

Were the shadows moving?

What was happening?

A swoosh went behind me and instantly the sword was out again as I watched my surrounds and heightened my senses.

It was weird, like I felt all around the place, like the water in the air was reaching out...calling to me.

But why the water?

How did I know it was the water?

Nothing was making sense.

There.

I instantly turned around with enough time to do a roll-dodge, the attack of claws would've taken off my head if I hadn't reacted.

Turning around I was faced with a creature that reminded me of a bird, yet a woman.

Instead of hands, there were wings. Instead of feet, there were claws. Her face was also not that of a completely human woman, she had almost pointed hair like that of the scruffs of birds neck and her face had these markings that were distinctive with birds.

Her chest reminded me of a Robin except it was dark in coloring, it was weird because it was half-human. Half-bird.

I don't know what she was but the screeching she was making made me tense real quick. Her name was on the tip of my tongue but I just couldn't seem to remember it.

I heard shuffling to my right and corrected my stance so I could see all the players on the field. Three beautiful woman with what seemed like snakes came to the field. Only one seemed to be wearing sunglasses for reasons beyond me.

"What are you." I asked as I tightened my grip on my sword and shifted my focus between the woman.

"We are Gorgons half-blood." The one wearing the sunglasses said as her voice had this ring to it that almost made me relax.

Almost.

"He doesn't seem much like a half-blood sister." A Gorgon said and had this sort of hiss to it.

"What about her?" I asked nodding toward the woman with the wings sitting in the tree. Almost instantly she hissed at me and I tensed even further if that was possible.

"She, my darling, is what we call a Harpy." Again, the Gorgon with the sunglasses said.

I narrowed my eyes as the names rang through my head. A man with black hair similar to mine and green eyes with a sort of Hawaiian shirt flashed through my mind.

"And she was a Gorgon?" A ten year old me asked

"She is very dangerous Perseus. Medusa's look will turn anyone to stone." The man said dangerously and then crouched in front of me his face displaying a very serious expression, "If you ever see her, never. I repeat, never. Look into her eyes. Even with your godly blood that is more than half, you will turn to stone. No one, not even a god can resist the magic of her gaze. Remember her voice and never fall for it, she entrances people to look into her eyes. Never, never look into her eyes son."

"I promise dad."

Instantly I looked away from the woman named Medusa as I my grip tightened even further. It was a problem now though, if I can't directly look at her, then how can I fight her if it ever occurred?

"It seems he figured out who you are sister." The unspoken sister said with that same hiss as the other.

"I would leave if I were you." I said dangerously.

"But aren't you tired? Tired of the scaredness, tired from the running from the unknown. Just look Perseus, look and you won't be tired anymore." Her voice had this magical tint to it as it washed over me.

For a split second my grip loosened before I pushed the magic away from my mind. She knew my name, instantly knowing it was bad news especially when the Harpy seemed to get fed up and get off the branch.

Faking the look of concentration I tilted my head and listened to the beat of the wings of the Harpy, "How about no?" I said and at the last second spun my sword and met the Harpy.

My sword stuck in her chest as she shrieked and I watched half-horrified, half-mesmerized as she disappeared in a pile of gold dust.

The Gorgons seemed to screech in anger and almost instantly I hit this watch on my wrist and watched as a shield spin out of it.

Using it to deflect a pair of claws that were aimed at my face, I pushed the Gorgon back and ran my sword through her without looking.

Hearing a hiss that I just knew wasn't Medusa, I tried to focus on the water I felt in the air earlier. Closing my eyes I let my senses run around.

Tightening my grip I dodged an attack to my throat and cut the other Gorgon sister in half and felt her also disappear into a pile of gold dust.

"You killed my sisters." The Gorgon Medusa said with a hiss of anger and stalked toward me. The magical field was disturbing my water senses as I opened my eyes to look at my shield.

This could either be the most stupid thing I've done (Which I feel like it's saying something probably), or the most brilliant thing.

Taking off my shield I flipped it to the more shiny side and hesitantly looked through it. Eureka! I looked at her through the shield reflection and tried to get a read of how far away she was.

As soon as I felt she was close enough I swung my sword to met her and heard it go clean through her neck.

Feeling disgusted when I heard a plonk and her head landed near my feet I instantly scrunched my nose and hesitantly fumbled for her glasses which she took off when the Harpy flew at me and used the shield to put them back on her face.

Feeling like it might (hopefully otherwise this is totally disgusting) I created a makeshift bag using a jacket that one of the Gorgons lost and disgustingly held onto it.
