I woke to see my brother looking at me, I yawned.
"Yay your eyes are open," he gasped, I looked at him confused.
"Why are you so exited?" I asked.
"Because we can go play now!" Jaykit said bouncing around, I chased after him when he bolted out. I bumped into another kit, I jumped back embarrassed.
"Sorry I wasn't watching where I was going," I said.
"It's ok Hollykit, it's also my fault," he said.
"Hey your Finchkit right?" I asked.
"Yeah and that's my sister Mousekit, that must be your brother Jaykit," he said.
"Yes he is my brother but he is kinda weird, his eyes are blue but he says he can see but he looks blind," I said.
"He can use that as an advantage in battle," Finchkit said, we played a while before our siblings wanted to join so we let them. Thunder sounded and it started to rain, we bolted inside and huddled together. Lightning struck them nursery causing it to light on fire, we tried to get out but the fire caused us to stay while we were trapped. We cried for help but no cat heard us over the sound of the rain and thunder, I pleaded starclan to send some cat a message. A few cats saw this but by then the fire had spread beyond the nursery and had started burning half the camp, they forgot us and this made me angry.
"Ok here's the plan, I help you guys over the flames but when I do run ok," I said, they nodded. I helped them out one by one until only I was left, I went to get out but was forced back because the front of the nursery collapsed before my eyes. It was pitch black other then the light the fire made while it was burning through, the heat it created was almost too hot for me to handle. I lay down wheezing and coughing from the smoke, I knew that if this kept up I would die. Some cat was clawing their way through the roof of the collapsed nursery, he grabbed my scruff and ran to the centre of camp. His pelt filled with shadows, my mother knew him but we didn't. I cough and coughed, he put me down and gave me fresh water.
"How dare you show your face again," HollyWhisp spat.
"I am saving my kit why else would I be here, unlike you I tried you stood there and did nothing," he hissed.
"Doesn't give you........." Hollywhisp was cut off.
"Why did you not try to save one of your kits?" Lionstar said his tail flicking.
"The nursery was on fire I don't want to get burnt," she spat but regretted it.
"So you would let your kit, our kit die because you don't want to get hurt, you pathetic excuse for a queen," he spat at her.
"Shatterstar please understand she has nothing to do with my life, she has too much your temperament I don't want a killer in my clan," she said still looking at the Tom beside me.
"So you would rather her dead then Jaykit, her brother," Lionstar said now she was angry.
"Lionstar keep out of this, this is between me and my mate got it!" HollyWhisp hissed.
"How dare you talk to your leader like that!" Shatteredstar spat, I knew he was a dark forest cat.
"Mumma don't you love me?" I asked my voice a squeak from all the smoke.
"Of course I do it's just........" She went to say but I cut her off.
"Why why am I not as important as Jaykit, why do you not like me, why do you hate me!" I almost sobbed.
"Look the reason I hate you Hollykit is because if you turn out like your father I will have no choice but to kill you like I did him when he killed," she spat but soon ran because she had given her deepest secret, my apprentice ceremony was in the morning so I would train my hardest and get revenge on her.
