Suave's P.O.V

I had to exchange my cloak for another that the maids used. The color was as dark as mine was and I was grateful for the fact that I don't want anything seeing us. However, what worried me was Encre's well-being. In this state she wasn't supposed to be moving around much. Not that I'm going against Encre's wishes....even though I was going against the lords.

I let out a sigh and placed my face in my palm in bewilderment of my own actions. What was I doing? I was going to be in so much trouble and now I better find a good excuse for it.

My head snapped up, "Lady Encre! Don't step there!" I quickly snatched her underneath her arms until her back was pressed up against the front of me, "It's poisonous."

"Oh," She didn't even sound startled and that only made me even more worried for her, "Then I better not step there." She turned and walked around even though I could tell she didn't obviously know what exactly was poisonous.

"How about I lead the way?" I advised and hoped that she would actually let me, "I know the forest way better than you would."

Encre slowed down to a complete stop until she took in a deep breath. I was ready for her to yell and I could feel my head slowly lowering readying myself to wince but instead she exhaled and said, "Okay."

I blinked a few times in surprise.

Women are so confusing....

I shook my head and took the lead. I could hear Encre's footsteps following and I felt the relief wash through me. She was actually cooperating. Now I just need to-

"I have to pee." She suddenly said.

"Wha-what?"

"I have to pee." She said again, "Reaaaally badly."

This time I haulted to face her, "Why didn't you go earlier?"

She crossed her arms and looked up for a moment, "Well...I was supposed to be avoiding you so I could make my escape so I decided not to go."

My brows furrowed, "But I went with. My question is still there."

Her hands went up and down her arms, "I didn't really think about it much after that.."

II pinched the bridge of my nose and thought for a second, "Well you're going to have to pee in the woods." I took a look around before I pointed, "See that bush over there? You can do your business behind there."

She nodded, "Okay, don't go anywhere." She told me before scurrying behind the bush.

I rolled my eyes and smiled a little, "Not going anywhere Lady Encre."

I tapped my foot but I was patient. If I hadn't been patient then I would never have survived being the Lord's butler or dealing with Jasper. When I smiled I felt the warmth of it wash through my whole body. The royal family was like my family and I'd never change anything about it. Especially when Fallacy found me as an orphan and with nothing else for me to do so he took me in. Fallacy would never count as my father but instead a very close friend. When I didn't see a purpose in my life he gave me one. He made me feel useful and I could put my skills to use.

"Done!" Encre said a bit loudly from behind the bush before coming back to me and I shushed her.

"Lady Encre, you must be very quiet." I told her sternly.

Her eyes widened, "Oh! Right!"

I shushed her again "Quiet."

"Right." She whispered to me.

I sighed and closed my eyes. Encre was going to get us both killed out here.

"Are we almost there?" She asked as we just begun to walk again through the overgrowth of the weeds and thorns, the branches that stuck up and I had to direct Encre around or even over, and the occasional plants that wouldn't be wise to touch.

I thought again to decide where else we must go and the time behind it......"About an hour Encre. We haven't been walking that long."

"Alright." Was all she said before falling silent.

The walk was difficult with Encre but nothing too bad happened. Not until a good amount of time passed and Encre tripped over a branch. I quickly reached out and caught her but then something happened that I didn't expect.

I stiffened when I heard a low laugh and a branch snap. The air seemed still and it was too dark to really see anything. We were at a disadvantage but I did bring my dagger including a few blinding powders.

"encre..." I said cautiously, "Get close to me and if I say run, then you run."

"If you try to run I will find you." Someone said in a startling voice but all I saw was piercing red eyes in the darkness of the night, and the silhouette that was given because of the moon.

"Don't come any close." I tried to say before Encre stepped in.

Encre picked up the first stick she saw and yelled, "If you come near me I'll hit you with this stick!"
