The Darkness Chapter 13

Red's P.O.V

When the news of Encre being in the royal hospital came to me I was absolutely furious. I couldn't remember much as I pushed past all the guards surrounding the castle and it took more effort to prove that I wasn't there to hurt anyone but only to see Encre and if she was alright.

Now, I was waiting in an room that smelled of medicine and vanilla. The aroma filled my scrunched nose and I huffed. I was told to stay here and wait for Encre to come here and sure I wasn't happy but it wasn't like I had a choice. I glared at the seats and instead stood up with my arms crossed and a glare on my face. I wasn't some puppy dog that'll sit down and beg for a treat. I huffed again at the thought.

"How much longer..?" I grumbled as my patience began to grow thin. The clock ticks sounded an every time it ticked I almost flinched in annoyance.

"Red?" I heard a feminine voice ask in curiosity and my head snapped towards her almost immediately.

My eyes narrowed when I saw the blood-sucker standing beside her and I let out a growl, "You asshole!" I shouted in outrage as I prowled towards him, trying my best not to allow my wolf to take control, "You're suppose to keep her safe!"

I was inches away from his face as I warningly growled and he just stood there calmly or at least it's what he showed me.

"I did keep her safe." Was all he said and my growl deepened. My eyes bored into his as we both had a silent challenge. I stood straighter, taller and tries to increase my size with the broadness of my shoulders. I could sense the pack nipping at me in the bond because they could feel my emotions. I was too upset to mask it and I didn't even care.

"It was my fault."

I froze suddenly and I was silent when I heard her voice. She sounded ashamed and saddened. The sound of her voice tugged at my heart from hearing this young mothers statement.

"What?" I asked in astonishment as I turned my head to Encre who's head hung low.

"I was worried about my brother and ended up leaving the castle." She told me admittedly, "I got myself into trouble and put my child at risk as well..." I could see the growing tears at the corner of her eyes and Fallacy's eyes began burning red.

"I think this was enough for your visit." Fallacy now warned me and I was back to growling.

"What do you mean enough!?" I glared at Fallacy and hunched low, "I just got here!"

Fallacy's eyes increased in bloodlust as he hung an arm around Encre possessively, "She needs rest." Is his only excuse as he tries to turn towards the door with Encre but I don't buy it.

"Encre, you can rest but I still want to speak to this Blood-Sucker." I tell her and she looks at me unsure. Her eyes wanders mine for a bit as she tries her best to understand even if I'm sure she doesn't. Nobody has. But slowly, she leans to Fallacy to whisper something quickly before she leaves, the door closing behind her before Fallacy turns back towards me.

"What do you want to tell me?" Fallacy's voice is on edge now as he tries to keep himself composed but the darkness inside of him beginning to leak out the cracks. I can sense it, feel it, hear it. Everything about Fallacy at this moment is dark. Almost evil and I snort.

"You're letting yourself loose it." I tell him as I try to understand even though most of what I understand is practically things I think, "What are you scared of?" I feel a smile tug on my lips when I see a fire in Fallacy's eyes light for a few seconds before dying down to his normal cold stares.

Fallacy moves and takes a seat at the waiting chair, crossing a leg over the other before saying, "What are you trying to prove?"

I narrow my eyes at him, "I'm trying to prove that you need to get a hold of yourself before you loose yourself." A growl rippled through me as I continued, "You're scared of loosing her. You're upset that you almost lost her and you weren't there." I began walking towards him in challenging strides, "She can sense this. Your change and it's not pretty."

Fallacy stood, the chair slamming against the wall as he got in my face with a hiss, "You don't know anything you mutt!"

My wolf began to claw in the back of my mind, "I know if you continue this you'll loose yourself!" I shouted, "You'll hurt her and she'll be gone because of one person!..

She'll be gone because of you!"
