A,N: Sorry for the wait. The chapter took a little longer to make than I expected. However hope you still like it. Please comment on what you think. Oh and decided that the other Zaira P.o.v. is written just like I usually write the real Zaira in this chapter. Hope I don't confuse you too much.

Normal p.o.v.

Dr. Faker was sitting in his computer room and was rather outrages. To think that Byron Arclight actually was Vetrix, and that he was trying to get revenge on him. Dr. Faker could live with that. He had after all, without any hesitation, sacrificed Yuma's father Kazuma and Byron, so he could open the portal. What he wasn't okay with, was how this duel progressed. Vetrix had really crossed the line this time. Big time! By using, in some way, his own son to defeat Kite. The good doctor knew that Kite would never hurt his little brother Hart, which properly was the reason Vetrix had done this in the first place. To have a AR vision of Hart's face, placed on his own. Vetrix had really done it this time. All so he could get into Kite's head.

"Grr Vetrix!" Faker yelled as loud as he could. He looked at one of the hidden cameras he was having on the duel. He needed to spy on Byron alias Vetrix.

"Enjoying the show Faker?" Vetrix then said. He knew the good doctor could hear him. "Ingenious isn't it? You are about to watch both your sons getting crushed in the same duel".

Faker sneered angry. He couldn't do anything to stop him. He was kind of locked up at the moment. He could only sit here and watch.

"Ahr Vetrix, I swear I will make you pay for this!" Faker then yelled.

At the same time.

"Wow, know your eyes are not playing tricks on you" Mr. Heartland commented and looked at all the people on the tribune from his hover jet. "Genom Heritage just destroyed Dyson sphere, ladies and gentleman. Know what that means? Well it means that Vetrix has dueled Kite into a corner".

Yuma's friends looked really confused at the scene in front of them. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.

"Kite been really pulling his punches" Bronk then said.

"His dueling seem sloppy" Flip then added "You would think there is something wrong with him". The others nodded in agreement.

"I hope he gets his head in the game fast" Tori then uttered.

Kite's p.o.v.

Kite: 1200 Lp's.

Vetrix: 3200 Lp's.

Kite sneered. He was really angry. At the same time he felt useless. He couldn't do much. If all what Vetrix said was true, then he and Hart were one and the same. All he wished he could do was going over there to Vetrix, and rip whatever part who was linked to Hart out of him. Then he would use his Galaxy eyes to blast him off the platform, and hoped he wouldn't survive. No one should use Hart as a shield against him! No one! However Kite couldn't sadly do that. He was forced into a duel by Vetrix. He just hoped Yuma would figure out something fast.

"I know my link to Hart is hard to believe" Vetrix then said in a mocking tone "But it is all true. Any pain I feel, Vetrix feels, And any pain that I feel Hart feels. I will show you".

Without warning, Vetrix crest appeared on his hand and the light from it hit Kite in the chest. Kite had to close his eyes for a minute, because of the light, but when he opened his eyes, he looked rather horrified. Down at his feet's a picture had now emerged. In it Kite could see his little brother inside his room at tower.

"It's Hart!" Kite then uttered "Hart! Can you hear me?!". However Hart wasn't moving at all. Vetrix smirked evilly.

"He can't hear you, but he can feel me" he then replied, and just like before Vetrix gave himself a little pinch. Hart instantly reacted. He was groaning in pain. "If I can feel it, Hart can feel it. Pretty neat hu?". Kite sneered angrily at him.

"You think this is funny you twisted monster" He then yelled at Vetrix. "Let my brother go!". At that Vetrix just smirked evilly.

"I believe it is your turn" He then pointed out "You could attack us with your galaxy eyes. That is, if you don't care about me".

Kite sneered again. How do I play this? If I attack, I'll injure Hart. But if I don't, I could lose the duel, and my victory could mean freeing Hart of Vetrix once and for all. He looked at the picture where he could see Hart lie in his bed. He still groaned in agony. I have to decide if helping Hart is worth hurting him. Kite drew. Hang in there little brother!

"I am coming for you Vetrix" He then sneered and pointed at Vetrix "And Hart trust me I know what I am doing. Galaxy eyes Photon dragon, attack Vetrix monster now!".

Then Kite's Galaxy eyes did just that. Since it was a number, Galaxy eyes couldn't destroy it, but he still dealt Vetrix 600 points of damage. Vetrix got blasted to the ground now, and in the picture, Kite could see Hart shake and tremble in the bed. Kite closed his eyes. He had a pained expression on his face. Regret was shown there as well. Vetrix got shaken up on his feet's.

"How could you Kite?!" He mocked imitating Hart's voice once again. He tried guilt tipping Kite. "What's wrong with you? You blasted your own little brother. You hurt me just to win this duel. I had you all wrong. I thought you loved me".

Then Vetrix smirked an evil, twisted, sickening smile. Kite clenched his fists and ended his turn.

Yuma's p.o.v.

Yuma was flying through the air, while having a tight grip in Orbital 7. They were on their way to rescuing Hart, from whatever Vetrix had done to him.

"Hart I am on my way" He then mumbled out. Astral was floating right beside him. Yuma looked out in the horizon. Then up at Orbital. He was rather annoyed.

"Orbital geez, maybe I just should have walked. Can't you go any faster?" he then asked the robot. Orbital looked rather offended by that.

"Oh yeah, Yo-u, you wanna see fast, I show you fast. Hang on Wi-se, Wise guy we're going in!".

Then Orbital hit the turbo button and they rushed forward with incredible speed. Yuma was actually letting out some screams in surprise. They reached Heartland tower, but was attacked right away from blasters who was hiding outside the tower. They of course shut at them. Orbital evaded quickly.

"Wow, d-on't, don't worry bout a thing Yuma, I, I expected those" Orbital then said. "Yes, ju-st, just as I thought, Dr. Faker's security system is working per-fectly. Here we go!".

Then he moved around to avoid the blasters and everything else the security system had to offer. Yuma was just hanging on for dear life.

Kite's p.o.v.

The duel continued. Kite was still glaring down Vetrix. He was prepared for whatever that twisted, and insane monster had in store for him. It was Vetrix's turn.

"My turn, I draw" Vetrix/Hart said and drew "You know Kite, I hope you and I dueling each other, doesn't create any bad blood between us. I am totally serious. I really want to strengthen our brotherly bonds, and my next move is designed to do just that".

Vetrix activated the spell "Heraldry curse" and equipped it on to Genom Heritage. Once per turn, Vetrix can deal both them 300 point of damage for every face up monster on the field. Chains appeared from his number card now, and wrapped around Vetrix and Kite now. They were almost tied up together. But luckily only almost. They were tied up by the same chain, but at least they were not back to back. Vetrix smirked evilly.

"There are two monsters on the field, so we each take 600 points of damage. Don't you feel closer already kite? Sure we would lose life points, but we will do it together. Like brothers" Vetrix then said and smiled an innocent Hart smile.

Then jolt hit them both, and they both let out a loud scream of agony. They both lost 600 life points. When the chains disappear, Vetrix falls melodramatic to the ground. He was groaning in pain, while yelling 'Brother!'. Then he supposedly collapsed. Kite was staring down at the picture, who was lying for his feet's. Hart was not moving an inch.

"This can't be!" Kite then uttered rather shocked. "Hart! Hart speak to me!".

Then as luck so happens, Yuma was contacting him through Orbital. A picture appeared. He could see Yuma in Hart's room. Kite looked worried at him.

"Tell me Yuma, is he alright?" he then asked.

"I think so" Yuma replied slowly "He is still in a deep trance, but he looks ok to me".

"Yes Hart is fine" Vetrix then said and got slowly up on his feet "But for how much longer is the question. And I would imagine that you must be asking yourself that very same question Dr. Faker. Yes I think you are".

Kite glared coldly at Vetrix. Of course his father would be watching right now. After all, if he failed, all his father's plans would be ruined, and Kite would not be able to heal Hart.

"Vetrix!" Kite could now hear Yuma say "You leave Hart out of this du..".

Whatever he had been about to say, never came out. Kite noticed Yuma getting tackled down by a orange haired stranger, before he was out of view for the video feed. Kite clenched his fists. One name came to his mind. Zaira!

Yuma's p.o.v.

A little earlier.

Yuma, Orbital and Astral rushed through the sky, trying to dodge the blasters. Orbital had managed to get in at the tower's range at least.

"What about that window?" Yuma questioned and made Orbital rush through it.

The glass splinters, but Yuma was more or less safe, when he landed on the floor inside Hart's room. With quick steps he ran over to Hart, who of course was lying in his bed. He slowly shook the boy.

"Hart! Come on give me a sign!" He said in a worried tone. Hart gasped for air and coughed a little. Then his breathing sounded normal. Yuma smiled relieved.

"He is okay" he then said and turned to Orbital "Orbital, bring up Kite, I got to share the good news with him".

The robot did quickly that, and soon they had established a link to Kite. The number hunter was of course asking for his little brother. Yuma told him he was okay. At least for now, which Vetrix also confirmed.

"Vetrix!" Yuma then yelled "You leave Hart out of this du..".

But he was caught in mid-sentence. Without any warning, Zaira jumped out of nowhere, and tackled Yuma to the ground. He got pushed away from Hart, and the two of them was tumbling around on the floor now. Astral and Orbital both looked rather stunned and worried.

"Yuma!" Astral then yelled in a worried tone "Zaira please don't hurt him".

"W-hy, you little r-unt" Orbital then said and approached the fighting teens on the floor.

He was surely about to attack. Yuma had really not put up much of a fight. He had fought with pure reflects at first, since Zaira had surprised him deeply. However now that he knew it was her, he ceased his struggle, and soon Zaira was sitting on his chest while holding him firmly down with her knees. Not that Yuma had any intention of escaping though. She looked pretty angry at him, and had a clenched fist who was ready to strike him in a minutes notice.

"Get off him! Ma-ster Kite would su-re, surely kill me, if the ru-nt doesn't come back!" Orbital then said and grabbed Zaira's arm.

She sneered in annoying's and pushed the robot to the floor with a hard punch from her other hand. Orbital sneered in annoying's and got quickly up on its feet's again.

"Why you little..".

"Orbital don't!" Yuma then yelled and stopped the robot from attacking again. "It's okay, she won't hurt me. You only came here to talk right Zaira?".

"I am here to stop you on Lord Vetrix's order" Zaira then replied and lifted a new fist to strike. "You aren't getting between his plans!". Orbital glared at her.

"She cle-early doesn't look like talking" the robot replied in an angry tone, but he was honoring Yuma's wish on not to hurt her. Yuma nodded slightly.

"Well you are doing a great job on that" he then commented "I can't do a thing here".

"Don't play dumb, you hate me!" Zaira sneered "You are my enemies. You need to be destroyed". Yuma sighed deeply. Vetrix had clearly messed her up alright.

"We are not your enemies. We are your friends" he then countered "Vetrix messed up your head. Please remember Zaira!".

Zaira growled angry. Like a wild wolf you were approaching in the wild. Yuma's eyes narrowed. She behaved like one of those scared animals, who got hurt, and like that animal, she was attacking, before her enemies could strike. Or that was at least what he thought was going through her head. Astral flew slowly towards her now.

"Zaira please listen to reason. Vetrix hurt you deeply, but I am sure we can reverse whatever he has done to you" he then said. Zaira sneered and tried pushing Astral away from her too. Surprisingly she went through him. She couldn't touch him.

"Stay.. stay away your weird ghost!" she then yelled. Astral's eyes widened.

"You.. you think I am weird" he then said in a shocked tone. Yuma noticed that Astral looked even more gloomy than usual. "Zaira thinks I am weird..".

Yuma sighed deeply. He wished he could cheer up his ghostly friend, but he was a little occupied at the moment. He turned towards Zaira. She was still growling at him.

"Lord Vetrix wishes for me to destroy you!" she then growled "Destroy you!". However Yuma noticed her fist actually never connected with his poor face. He bit his lip. He had to risk it.

"Fine then hit me!" Yuma then yelled loudly "Go ahead and destroy me. I won't stop you. If it makes you feel better, then I don't mind". Astral and Orbital looked horrified at him, but Yuma knew what he was doing. Zaira was staring at him.

"I.. I what?" she said in a confused tone "You want me to destroy you?".

"Yes, if that makes your happy, I don't mind" Yuma replied and smiled up at her "So come on, hit me! You aren't a coward are you?". Zaira hissed angrily.

"No! No I am not a coward! Prepare yourself" she then yelled and lifted her fist and slammed it towards Yuma's face.

Yuma bit his lip. Maybe he had this all wrong. Maybe she really was gonna hurt him. He hoped at least it was over quickly. However when Zaira's fist was millimeters from his face, Zaira froze. She stopped up and Yuma felt her tears drip down his cheeks. Zaira was crying.

"I.. I what is this? Why can't I.. ?" she then said and clenched around her chest "What is this warm feeling?". Yuma looked worried up at her.

"Yuma!" Astral then said "Continue with whatever you are doing. I believe we are getting through to her". Yuma nodded slightly. He looked up at Zaira.

"I knew it" he then said in a low voice "You don't wish to fight Zaira. I know you don't like hurting others. At least not innocent people. You are a kind and caring girl with this big heart. Okay you may be proudful, and you kind of hit me when I annoy you, but you would never hurt me for real. We are friends". Zaira looked scared at him. She got quickly off him now.

"Friends? No I.. I don't have any friends" she then sneered out "Just.. just stay away from me. Leave!". Yuma shook his head and got up on his feet's.

"Of course you do" he then replied "You have Astral and me. As well as Tori, Bronk, Caswell, Flip, Cathy, and Shark. Shark is also your friend. So is Hart and Kite, even though I think Kite never would admit it. And why should I leave you, when you are in pain right now". Zaira just shook her head wildly.

"No, I.. I am supposed to destroy you for.. meddling against Lord Vetrix" she then yelled "You are not getting to Hart!". Yuma looked over at the bed with Hart.

"But don't you remember, you promised Kite and Hart to reunite the two of them?" he then questioned "You want to break that promise?".

"What promise? I don't know what you are talking about" Zaira sneered "I owe him nothing. Hart and his brother is only lord Vetrix target". Yuma clenched his fists. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Vetrix had really crossed the line here.

"What do you mean you don't remember?!" Yuma then yelled "Don't you remember the windmill park? Or the kidnapping the Arclights did. We saved Hart together with Kite. Try to remember!".

Zaira growled angrily, but at the same time she grabbed around her head, and then chest. She really looked like she was in pain.

"No! I don't remember!" She yelled "Just be quiet. Stop talking about Hart and Kite, and well everything. Just die Yuma!".

She rushed forward towards him. Yuma was not ready at all. He tried to shield himself, but at the same time he knew he was too late. Zaira would have attacked him, if it wasn't for some strange blue energy who suddenly lit up in the room. Zaira stopped up, and she and Yuma looked puzzled around. Then they noticed that Hart was emitting this blue energy.

"Yuma, Zaira!" He said in a weak voice, and before Yuma knew it, the light was so bright he had to close his eyes.

Zaira/Other Zaira's p.o.v.

I woke up and looked confused around. Wherever I were, it was clearly no longer Hart's room. I was on a beautiful meadow, and just in front of me was a wooden cottage. Beside that and the grass and flowers around me, there were no one around. My eyes narrowed and I tried to figure out what was going on. I had tried pummeling Yuma's face, when this weird light happened. It was emitting from that boy Hart, and after that.. well I ended up here. Wherever that was. Did that Hart boy summon me or something? I sneered a little. This was not going according to plan. Vetrix wanted me to get rid of Yuma. Well this surely complicated things. Yuma and Astral was not anywhere to be seen. I sighed deeply. Then I had a feeling I was watched and quickly turned around. On the veranda outside the cottage was a boy standing. He was dressed in a blue stripped pullover, and some base colored shorts. He was smiling a big smile at me. I knew instantly that this was the boy Hart.

"Hello Zaira, I am so happy you could come and visit me" he said. I glared at him.

"You are Hart right? Why did you summon me here?" I sneered at him. "I don't have time to be here, so sent me back. Vetrix wants me to destroy Yuma!".

"Yeah I know that" the boy then said and sighed "I know everything that happened to you. After all Vetrix and I are linked together". My eyes narrowed.

"So? Why did you summon me?" I then said in a cold tone "Sent me back!".

"I just figured we could talk, that's all" Hart said and leaned at the railing of the veranda. "You lost your memories, haven't you?". I looked puzzled at him.

"What are you talking about?" I then said "I haven't lost anything".

"You are Zaira, but at the same time not" Hart then said and smiled "Vetrix brought you to life, but the same time, he ripped you of your, Zaira's present memories. You think you are doing this for your Zaira, but you are hurting her instead".

"What do you know? You are just a kid!" I sneered. Hart just smiled at me.

"Where is Cy then?" he questioned and his hand lit up a little. Blue energy was shown in it "Wouldn't he be here, if he cared? I miss him". I backed a little away.

"What.. what are you doing?" I said in a scared tone. Hart just smiled.

"This is your memories" he said and pointed at the blue light "I took them from Vetrix, but also made me unable to leave. Please Zaira, trust me! Take them back and you will see, that Cy and Yuma both have been right. Vetrix is using you".

I stared in awe at the blue light. It was emitting such a warm. The same kind of warm I felt from Yuma when we fought. I really couldn't understand what was going on. However I was drawn to the light. I took a step forward. I just felt I had to. That the blue light was supposed to be mine. I took a step forward again. I was staring eye to eye with Hart now. He was still smiling and holding out that light. I lifted my hand, while reaching out towards it. I almost touched it, when a hand pulled me backwards and I fell surprisingly to the ground. Vetrix was standing in front of me.

"Nice try Hart" I could hear Vetrix say "But this puppet stays mine. Now be gone!".

He let a hand cut through Hart, like he was an image of some, which he actually looked like in this moment, but I did notice the blue light disappear with him. Vetrix turned towards me, and was smiling a weird smile. I was sure he was trying to look caring, but instead his expression looked rather insane.

"Hehe that was a close one Zaira" Vetrix then said and was holding a hand towards me. I just automatically backed away. Something just felt wrong here.

"Why did you.. what happened?" I then asked slowly "Where are we?".

"We are inside Hart's mind. In that link I have to connect to him" Vetrix replied "Hart must have summoned you, and that pest to Yuma and Astral here. We need to destroy them my dear".

I instantly shook my head. Just before I was able to touch that blue light, I did see an image in there. I saw Yuma and Astral smile at me. Yuma even gave me a friendly hug. If we were enemies, then why would he do that. Vetrix stopped up now. He wasn't smiling any longer. That actually made me more worried.

"That was not an request Zaira. You will not escape me" he then sneered and rushed forward towards me. I couldn't do a thing. I was not prepared for this at all. Darkness enveloped me and..

Yuma's p.o.v.

Yuma was also standing somewhere at the meadow. Cherry blossoms were blowing and in the horizon, he could see the wooden cottage. He looked surprised around.

"Hey, I know where we are" Yuma then uttered "We have been here before, haven't we Astral?". The ghost by his side nodded in agreement.

"I do believe you are right. We are inside Hart's consciousness. He summoned us here not long ago" Astral then commented. Yuma looked puzzled around.

"Where is he?" Yuma then questioned, when he couldn't see Hart.

Then suddenly out of the blue, three dark colored blasts got shut out from behind the cottage. It spread through the sky, and colored everything in here, black and purple colors. It looked rather terrifying in here now. Then suddenly one of the blasts were flying straight towards Yuma. Yuma just managed to dodge, and turned towards where the blast had hid. In the sky you could see a silhouette of a person.

"Is that.. Vetrix?!" Yuma then uttered surprised "Why is he here?".

"A better question, why are you here Yuma?" Vetrix then questioned.

"You are in Hart's mind? So this is an inside job?" Yuma then questioned.

"Very good Yuma, you discovered my secret!" Vetrix said in a mocking tone "Too bad you won't be around long enough to tell anyone!". Yuma's eyes widened, when he began transforming into a giant, black and red wolf. It was growling evilly.

"That form. It resemble Zaira's number's chaos form" Astral then said.

"Very astute of you Astral" Vetrix then said and grinned "Hart also summoned Zaira in here. He tried to free her from my control, but Zaira is my puppet. A puppet I can use as I see fit. So if you hurt me, you will be hurting her too".

"Oh so you have Zaira in there, figures. You control Hart the same way after all" Yuma sneered angry "Stop being a coward Vetrix, and face me head on!".

"Head on eh? Then what about this?" Vetrix replied and rushed forward to attack. Yuma just quickly dodged. He didn't question that one claw from that wolf, could kill him. Yuma sneered inside. That was not what he meant, and Vetrix knew it.

"Yuma" Astral then said slowly. Yuma nodded and turned to his deck case. A card lit up in his extra deck. It was Utopia, who he quickly summoned.

"I am sorry Zaira. I know you are in there, and this might hurt a bit, but you will thank me later when you are free from Vetrix" Yuma then yelled and made Utopia engage in battle with the black Vetrix wolf. At some point Utopia even managed to chop the wolf's head off. Yuma just hoped they just didn't hurt Zaira in there.

"You did it Utopia" He then stated "You defeated them!".

However as soon as he had said that, the wolf got up and its head attached to its body. Just like nothing had happened. Yuma sneered angry. The battle just got tougher.

"You are finished Yuma" Vetrix then yelled and fired a breath of dark colored fire.

It was similar to the attack Cy's chaos form used. Utopia of course shielded them with his body and sword, but Yuma could still feel the warm from the burning fire. Soon bright light enveloped them. Yuma closed his eyes quickly. What, what's going on?

When Yuma opened his eyes again, he was no longer present in Hart's mind, or watching Utopia beat up the Vetrix wolf. However he was not in Hart's room at Heartland tower either. He was in a whole third place. Astral was luckily beside him though.

"Astral, do you know where we are?" he asked the ghost.

"I believe we are inside some kind of memory" the ghost concluded "Normally you can't float after all".

Yuma's eyes widened and noticed he was floating in midair. Below them was a giant mansion with a giant yard and fence. If it wasn't for him watching so many memories, he would properly flip out right about now. Instead he turned towards Astral again. He wanted to know who's memories this was.

"Hey let me go, your idiot! I don't want to go with you" a voice then suddenly yelled and made Yuma instantly turn towards it "My Nii san is looking for me. I need to go find him!".

"You are coming with me, weather you want to or not!" a male voice then yelled "That is the law of the social services. Your brother can look for you here".

Yuma noticed a man in a black suit, drag along a wild orange haired girl, Yuma could recognize as a younger version of Zaira. She was getting dragged in the collar of her clothes, towards this giant mansion. Yuma noticed a lot of other kids around. Astral looked stunned at Yuma as well.

"Was that Zaira?" he then questioned.

"Let's go check!" Yuma then replied and they both flew towards the ground and the two characters.

"Hey sister! Sister open up!" the male yelled and slammed on a door to some office.

Yuma noticed he actually sounded annoyed. That was properly because of Zaira still struggling in his grip. The door got open and some woman, a nun, was standing at the doorstep.

"Oh Marvolo sir, what brings you here?" she then asked.

"I have another kid for you" The male Marvolo sneered and tossed Zaira into the nun's arms "And you better be prepared. She is a vicious one of that".

The nun looked stunned at Zaira. They were staring eye to eye now. Then the nun let go of her. It was like she had seen a monster, or something. Zaira took the opportunity to run, but Marvolo grabbed her arm once again. He stopped her attempt of escape, but Zaira was still struggling.

"I.. I had a prevision, the cities will burn to ashes, you brought a devil's child" she then uttered in a scared tone "Just, just take her away from here!".

"Can't do sister" Marvolo then replied "I already been on other orphanages, and they all dismiss her. You prime yourself with that you take every orphaned kid in".

"I am no orphan!" Zaira yelled "My brother is out there! I need to find him! So let me go or you will all be sorry". The sister and male looked at each other.

"Well she claim she has a brother" Marvolo then said and sighed "We have been looking into it, but since she don't remember his name, it been a little difficult. However sister are you living up to your reputation? Are you taking this devil child in?".

The Nun sighed deeply. Then she nodded. Marvolo smirked and handed Zaira over. The girl was fighting like hell, but she couldn't get out of either of their grips.

"My brother will come and you will be sorry" Zaira yelled as the nun and Marvolo left the office. The sister dragging Zaira to her room. "My brother will come and then he will kill you all. Just you wait!".

Soon Yuma and Astral were back. Or well at least back in Hart's mind. They were faced up against this Vetrix shaped wolf, who they now both truly knew had Zaira in there. They had seen her memories. Or her past memories. The attack the wolf had used contained them, and they didn't just see Zaira's first arrive at the orphanage, but also how she was treated through the years. It made Yuma clench his fists. Zaira was scary, or could be scary, but that didn't mean they could assume her as a devil's child. No wonder Zaira had hatred for the world. He looked at Astral.

"Astral what is a prevision?" he then asked. The astral being looked at him.

"A prevision is when you predict something that might happen in the future" he then said and also clenched his fists "I cannot believe they acted on it. Who says Zaira would ever burn any town down? No wonder Zaira ran away".

Yuma nodded slightly. He could understand his adopted sister's pain. He looked up at Utopia who still shielded them for the crossfire. He wondered if the number had given them the vision from the past, or if it was the wolf, Zaira herself, who was calling out to them. Whatever the reason, Yuma knew what he had to do. He needed to defeat Vetrix and free Zaira from his control. Hart too of course, but still. Zaira was his family. He felt more determined to save her at the moment. He stared down the black wolf.

"Is that all you got?" he questioned and sneered "Because it won't be enough Vetrix. I won't stop until Hart and Zaira is free of you!". Then he made Utopia slash through the attack and cleaved the black wolf in two. This time it didn't get reborn.

"Vetrix has been defeated!" Astral then uttered "But what about Zaira?". He had just said that, when the darkness slowly dissolved around them. In front of them was Zaira standing, but she looked like she could pass out every second now.

"Zaira!" Yuma yelled and tried reaching her, but the darkness suddenly assembled right beside Zaira. A figure had a tight grip in Zaira's shoulder. It was Vetrix!

"Yuma! Yuma!" He said in an unhuman voice. The figure didn't look much human. More like some kind of spirit. He walked forward having a tight grip in Zaira.

"I am coming for you!" The Vetrix spirit said and dissolved into the darkness, but not before he exploded. It caused Yuma, Astral and Zaira to get tossed out of Hart's mind.

Normal p.o.v.

Yuma soon fell to the ground in Hart's room in Heartland tower. Compared to all the stuff that happened inside Hart, only a few seconds or minutes had passed. Orbital turned confused around. He wondered why Yuma suddenly was lying on the ground. At the same time, Vetrix got tossed to the ground too. He was still dueling Kite, but because Yuma severed his link to Hart, Vetrix got blown away too.

"Yuma Tsukumo!" Vetrix then yelled and the AR vision of Hart's face was vibrating a lot. Almost about to disappear. "This is not over! You will regret meddling in my affairs".

A little bit away, was Zaira sitting, groggily at the platforms ground. She was having no events of being possessed by Vetrix inside Hart though, but her body was still rather tired. Kite looked puzzled at the whole scenario in front of him. He had just been dueling Vetrix, when suddenly the child flew backwards. That and Zaira had just appeared on the platform out of nowhere.

"What did Yuma do?" he then questioned. Yuma appeared on a screen in front of him now. He was smiling happily at him.

"Kite good news. Hart is no longer under Vetrix power, so you know what that means. Now you don't have to worry about hurting Hart" Yuma then said "So don't hold back or show that creep any mercy, got it?! Vetrix is all yours".

"This means I can release the full force of my rage!" Kite then yelled and a red aura appeared around him. He glared at Vetrix. "Get ready! This ends now Vetrix!".

The other Zaira/Zaira's p.o.v.

I was not sure what was going on here. Everything was a major blur. I knew Vetrix had ordered me to deal with Yuma, and I do remember tackling the boy to the ground. Then I was summoned by Hart I believe. Somewhere and that blue light. That didn't even make sense. Then I remembered the complete and utterly darkness, and now I was here, at the platform, where Vetrix was dueling Kite. I groaned a little and rubbed my head. What was going on here? Did Vetrix save me? It could explain the reason why I was sitting a little away on his side of the dueling field. However I couldn't shake that feeling, that it was not true. The sentence from Hart about Vetrix using me was still ringing in my head. Along with Cy's message on not trusting him. I groaned a little again and tried getting up on my feet's. My body felt tired for some reason. Extremely tired. Like a lot of energy had been drained from it.

"Zaira just sit back and relax" I could hear Vetrix say and he laughed evilly. "This won't take long".

He had gotten up on his feet as well and his iron mask was once again on his face. I had a hunch Yuma had broken the link, so I didn't get surprised at all, when Yuma just told Kite that on the screen. That made the hunter sent Vetrix an angry glare, and I wondered if Vetrix really was prepared to face Kite when he was angry, but Vetrix didn't seem much faced. Maybe a bit annoyed though.

"This ends now Vetrix" I could hear Kite proclaim and at the screen I could see Yuma and Orbital cheer Kite on. Astral was floating beside Yuma.

"We all rooting for you Ma-ster Kite!" Orbital said.

"Yeah that's right, show Vetrix what's dueling is all about" Yuma then added "Save Zaira from Vetrix too".

At that I looked puzzled at the boy on the screen. What was he supposed to save me from? That revenge thing Shark boy mentioned? I snort coldly at that. What I was doing was none of their businesses.

"Oh I intent to!" Kite sneered and drew.

It was his turn. He started off by activating the spell "Galaxy expedition". Since Galaxy eyes photon dragon was on his field, he could summon a "Galaxy knight" from his deck to the field in att mode. (Lv 8, 2000 att, 2600 def) It's eff activated, and Kite could summon yet another Galaxy knight from his deck. Since he had 3 level 8 monsters, he could now overlay them into his most strongest monster yet. Neo galaxy photon dragon.

"Prepare to witness the mightiest of monsters" Kite then said and a sword appeared in his hand now. He tossed it up in the air through the hole to the overlay network "With the power of this beast, the battle is over! Come forth Neo galaxy eyes photon dragon!".

I could hear a loud roar, and a giant red/black dragon with 4500 att appeared. I was staring in awe, but at the same time I was feeling some kind of deja vu. Had I meet this monster before? Vetrix looked really annoyed now.

"Ahr not this!" He sneered "His monster is now Neo galaxy eyes. An unexpected nuisance". Kite just snort and continued his move. Since his galaxy eyes was used as an Ou, every other monster on the field, loses its special eff.

"That means Genom Heritage, special eff is cancelled" Vetrix uttered surprised.

"That's right! So get ready, because your number is up!" Kite then said and pointed annoyingly at Vetrix. I could hear Yuma, Orbital and Astral cheer Kite on happily. If this attack succeed, Kite would win the duel.

"Vetrix there is no stopping me now! I knew I would beat you in this duel" Kite then yelled to Vetrix "And now I see the moment is finally at hand. Prepare as I strike the final blow! Neo galaxy eyes attack Genom heritage!".

My eyes widened in surprise when Kite attacked Vetrix, and even more so when I saw Vetrix got blown backwards without any resistance. Was that it? Had Kite really won the duel?

A lot of smoke got created. I could hear surprising gasps from the people from the tribune. Yuma was also sounding happy together with Orbital. Kite gasped a little. Considered his state of dueling, it was no wonder Kite was tired. However he also looked rather relieved that it was over. That until evil laughter could be heard. That surely surprised everyone. Even I.

"No way!" Kite then uttered shocked. Sadly it was true. When the smoke cleared, Vetrix was now still standing, having 700 life points to his name.

"Every so sorry to disappoint, but I am still here" Vetrix then said. I looked puzzled around and wondered how he could still be standing. That until I noticed his trap card "Heraldry protection" on his field.

"A trap card!" Kite then uttered surprised. Vetrix smirked evilly.

"Yes indeed Kite, duo to Heraldry protection, I lowered Neo Galaxy eyes' att points by 800" he then explained and laughed like hell "So it is still your move".

"I end my turn!" Kite sneered and sent him the most angry glare, I ever had seen. It really looked like Kite could murder Vetrix right now. Vetrix on the other hand, was smiling a rather sadistic smile. It even gave me chills.

"Such anger. Keep it coming" Vetrix then said. Kite and I looked puzzled at him.

"What?" The number hunter questioned.

"Your rage is so abundant. I should thank you. At this rate I'll have all I need in no time" Vetrix then replied, and was it just me, or did Vetrix eye lit up? I was sure I noticed a golden, powerful aura around him. This could not be a good sign.

"All of what?" Kite then questioned and took a step backwards.

I don't blame him. the way Vetrix behaved and looked right now.. well it was a sight to fear. He looked like one of those mad men, before they kill or destroy the world, or something like that. If I had the strength to summon up a portal and leave, I would surely do it.

"Why anger of course!" Vetrix then uttered and his crest appeared on his own forehead.

He drew and started of his move by summoning "Heraldic beast Berners falcon" in att mode. (lv 4, 1000 att) Then he activated the spell "Heraldry reborn". With it he could summon a Heraldic beast monster from his grave. Like his basilisk. And since he got two heraldic beasts on the field, he could summon "Heraldic beast Eale" from his hand. I bit my lip. Vetrix had now 3 level 4 monsters. Kite didn't look very happy as well. He was actually a little frightened. Who could blame him? Vetrix really sounded like he was insane right now. Vetrix overlaid his three monsters to summon "Number 69 Heraldry crest", and as he did, his green crest lit up on the platform at our feet's. A similar image of it also appeared in the sky, together with lightning. It actually made everything even more horrifying. Then from the sky a giant number monster appeared. With lightning yellow eyes, and dangerous fangs. It's body looked vicious. It was not something I would like meeting in a dark alley at night, and I was seeing it from behind. Kite was face to face with it.

"This duel ends with Nb 69 Heraldry crest" Vetrix then told him "This is an extremely difficult monster to control. To do so, you must wield enormous amounts of anger!". Kite and I looked puzzled at him.

"Anger?" we actually said in unison. Vetrix nodded eagerly.

"That's right. I have been collecting it from everyone. They all been unknowingly contributing" he then said. "I harnessed Dextra's anger. And of course Trey's. Let's not forget Quattro, Quinton and Grace. Shark and my little puppet's anger, nearly put me over the top!".

I could feel Vetrix actually look at me with that smirk. It made me get a bad taste in my mouth. That, and why was I okay with him calling me puppet? I should get angry over it, shouldn't I? That and he was really using me for his plots. But for some reason I felt that I couldn't disobey him. I just couldn't.

"You are mad" Kite then uttered in an angry tone. Vetrix just grinned at that.

"Oh no, I'd say you are Kite" Vetrix replied "Hehe, it was your boundless rage that topped off my stockpile of anger. It's thanks to your fury over little Hart that I was able to summon Heraldry crest. And before long, you'll be wishing you'd never laid eyes on this monster. Heraldry crest steals your monster's special eff's, ahaha!".

Then he laughed like hell. My eyes was widened however. A monster. A monster who could steal other monster's eff. That was not good at all.

"No way!" Kite then uttered just as shocked.

Vetrix of course did that. He stole Neo galaxy eyes' effects, leaving the dragon rather powerless. I could even hear Kite scream up as he did. Apparently Neo Galaxy eyes' power was connected to his soul in some way, so stealing it's power, was the same as ripping a part of him away. I shook my head and actually hugged myself. That effect gave me goosebumps.

"Your monster will remain on your field though, but I can't imagine Neo galaxy eyes will be of much use without it special eff" Vetrix then said.

Kite sneered angry at him. Apparently he wasn't agreeing. At the video screen, I could hear Yuma yell something like "Kite I am coming", before the screen disappeared completely. Apparently Yuma was on his way to save his friend. I groaned a little and got up on my feet's. I had to greet him properly when he arrived.

"Now to try out my freshly stolen powers" Vetrix then said and activated his monster's eff.

By using an Ou, he could rip neo galaxy eyes for all its Ou's and sent them to the grave. In return Heraldry crest gained 500 att for every Ou it lost. That's 3 Ou's so it gained 1500 att point, giving it 4100 att now. However that was not all. Since Kite's monster lost 3 Ou's, Heraldry crest could now attack 3 times in a row.

"Now are you prepared to handle a triple strike?" Vetrix then questioned.

Kite sneered at him. Vetrix just smirked. "Now don't be upset. It's not all bad. Due to the trap Heraldry protection, neo galaxy eyes won't be destroyed. No! you will take all the damage". I looked rather horrified, and was actually happy that I wasn't facing up against Vetrix. The masked kid looked up in the sky now.

"Oh and Faker, crushing your son fills me with unparalleled joy" Vetrix then said and laughed again like hell.

He made Heraldry crest attack. First strike knocked Kite to the ground, leaving him with 200 life points. Vetrix struck the dragon again and ripped the last life points from Kite, letting him win the duel. I on the other hand bit my lip a little. I knew Vetrix was doing this for revenge, but Kite was a honorable duelist, who fought to the end. I just kind of felt sorry for him. I could hear him groan in pain. I could even hear his last few words. Brother. He was still, after all this, more worried about Hart.

"You are beaten" Vetrix then proclaimed and grinned like a maniac again. "But since my monster and I are having such a good time attacking you, I'll do it again. Why stop the fun now!".

My eyes widened in horror. Vetrix did another strike at Kite even though he was out of life points. Everyone on the tribute gasped in horror as well. Even I was a little upset by that. The third and final attack got launched. I noticed that Kite looked like he was prepared for whatever fate had in store for him. I must admit that was very brave of him, considered that Vetrix monster properly would blast him to shreds. However that never actually happened. A blue sphere appeared around Kite all of the sudden. It repelled the attack from Vetrix monster, and thereby sent shockwaves of energy all around us on the platform now.

"What is happening?" Vetrix questioned puzzled. I on the other hand was more occupied by the energy waves. It was having the same blue light as the one Hart had been holding towards me last time we meet.

"Zaira those are yours" I could hear a voice say "Take them!".

Then the light hit me and pictures, memories I knew, was flashing through my head endlessly. I saw duels and different people. I saw Shark boy and the gang. Yuma and Astral. Kite and Hart, and a lot more. I knew instantly that this was hers, ours memories. Those Vetrix had stripped away from me. Memories from before I meet Yuma and Astral. I grabbed my head and tried comprehend what I was seeing. In the meantime, the energy waves had stopped and revealed Hart. Hart had created the sphere to save his big brother. Vetrix couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"No it can't be! It's Hart" Vetrix said in an shocked tone. Kite looked slowly up at his little brother, with a little smile. He was thanking him.

"Oh no, thank you big brother" Hart then said and turned towards me "And thanks to you too Zaira".

Then he faded away in a glow of yellow light. Apparently Hart had used his last bit of strength to save Kite and restore my memories. The sphere placed Kite carefully on the ground, before disappearing as well.

"Kite, Hart!" I then yelled while clenching my head. I knew who they were now.

"Ahr how touching. Hart showed up just in time to soften his brother's final blow" Vetrix then said in a mocking tone "I'll be moved to tears if I was capable of it. But I am not!". His crest appeared in his hand and he aimed it at Kite. I looked in horror when Vetrix began absorbing Kite's number cards.

"This duel is mine. As is your soul and number cards" Vetrix then proclaimed.

"You are a monster!" I then yelled and got Vetrix's attention.

Maybe not the best move, but I was beyond angry right now. How could he do this to Kite and Hart! I clenched my fists in an angry matter. My head still hurt a little, but it was nothing compared to the pain my friends had suffered. Some even by my own hands.

"I see the little puppet has awakened" Vetrix then said and smirked "A little too early though. I still have a little use for both of you". I sneered angry. I really wished to beat him up right now.

"You used me! You used us! You ripped me of my present memories and.." I stopped up in mid-sentence. "Ahr You made me battle and injure Shark! No wonder my alter ego flipped out on me. Oh no, she will never forgive me for this. And he loves her. What have I done?!". Vetrix grinned evilly and walked closer.

"The question you should be asking yourself is what you will do now little puppet" he then said "Hart may have given you your memories, but like I said before, you can't escape me. I believe you have something that belongs to me".

I looked puzzled at him. At the same time I tried assembling my own powers to blast him to shreds. Sadly nothing happened when I tried accessing them. I was rather scared now.

"Why.. why can't I access my powers?" I then said in a scared tone.

"I drained them away, when I possessed you inside Hart's mind" Vetrix then said with a cold smirk on his face. He grabbed my arm, and I felt even weaker than before. "You are too tired to put up a fight".

My eyes widened in horror. No it couldn't be true. I finally know the truth, just to be dragged away again. I need Zaira! I need Cy and Zaira to beat him, but..

"Kite, Zaira!" I could then hear Yuma yell, and saw him, Astral and Orbital reach the platform. Vetrix looked rather annoyed by this.

"I think we two need some privacy dear Zaira" he then said and summoned a portal beside him now. I tried getting out of his grip, but without luck.

"Yuma, Astral!" I then yelled as loud as I could "Help me! Help us!". Then I got dragged into the portal, leaving Yuma and the crew to deal with Kite who was unconscious.

A,N: Well that was that chapter. Cruel, cruel cliffhanger. However hoped you liked it and wasn't too confusing in the end. I will explain in the next chapter, who the other Zaira truly are. If you haven't figured out who she is. In the next chapter, Zaira and Yuma are of course dueling against each other. Vetrix is not done using her, but what he does to her, before the match.. well that you will see. All I can say is that the duel and the chapter hopefully are epic. Or gonna be.
