The Otherworldly Trio
After dealing with the Siren invasion of the world of Azur Lane - which happened partially due to a series of fuck-ups from me, everything is smiles and ice creams. My girls still pulling tricks and pranks on others, but nobody really mind. And so I decided to have a vacation while another me have the "honor" of dealing with paperwork. And of course, can't forget the souvenirs.
Timeskip:
It has been a little over 550 years, according to Teyvat's chronology, since I first arrived. At first I forgot about suppressing my power, so practically every sentient being on Teyvat could sense a nightmarishly powerful aura above them, and I only remembered about my power after deafeating literally every god with ease. Results? I was labelled as "The Celestial Invader". To ensure that this world's deities would not disturb me, I rewrote history so what they remember will be: "After a gruelling battle, the gods of Teyvat managed to drove off the Celestial Invader." 50 years after that, I found a couple of otherworldly travellers who were sealed by a goddess, but before she could cast them away, I did some "pickpocketing", then wait for 490 years.
After the siblings's reawakening, they initially wanted to leave, but after some persuasion, they chose to be my travel companions. Aether and Lumine, their names I quickly learnt. At the present, the three of us are fishing, but instead of catching a big fish, we get a tiny floating girl.
Me: Ooh la la, what do we have here?
Paimon: Wait! Don't eat me please!
Aether: Don't worry, we are not going to eat you
Lumine: But she looks tempting.
Me: As much as I like to screwing with the little girl, I think we should introduce ourselves. Can you tell us your name, little girl?
Paimon: My name is Paimon! And who are you three?
Me: I am Arthur Godfrey, and here are Aether and Lumine
The Siblings: Nice to meet you, Paimon.
Paimon: Nice to meet you too!
2 months later
We told Paimon of how we came to Teyvat and invite her to our party, who gladly accepts the invitation. The little bundle of energy very much enjoys to listen to our stories, and while she's naturally an airhead, she actually learnt how to use Teleportation Waypoints quite quickly. She also finds out the because we are not natives, we can gain elemental powers from the statues used to venerate the seven most well-known protectors of this world - Archons. And I'm telling you, dear readers: As you have already know, Teleportation Waypoints are hella convenient.
We reach the proximity of our first destination- Mondstadt, the City (or nation) of Freedom. But before we can enter, we hear something big. The growling sound of a large beast, a dragon to be exact. And there's a bard talking to it.
Mysterious bard: Don't be afraid.....It's alright now. I'm back
Paimon: Is he talking to a.....dragon?
Me: Thanks, Baby Obvious. By the way, try not to peek out too much, you will startle them.
None of the siblings dare poke their heads out of the tree we are hiding, but woe betide us, their suits flare up due to elemental reaction, and that big fat lizard which name I shall not spoil roars loudly and fly away, forcing us to bail as well.
Paimon: Paimon thought Paimon was going to be blown away! Phew!
Me: You can fly, Paimon. You will return to us eventually.
Lumine: Uh, Sir Arthur, the dragon left something.
Aether: It's some sort of tear-shaped crystal.
Me: Could be one of its tears. I think we shall keep it, it might be useful. By the way, anyone wants some booze after entering the city? It's on me!
The Siblings: We!
Paimon: Paimon too!
Me: You're underage, Paimon.
Paimon: No fair!
Me: Haha, there will be more chances in the future, but for now, let's continue going
A girl with bunny ears headwear jumped right past us
Bunny Ears: May the Anemo God protect you, strangers. I am Amber, Outrider of the Knights of Favonius. You look like outsiders.
Aether: *Whispers* She reminds me of you back in your girl scouts day, Lumine
Arthur: *Whispers* Tell me about that
Paimon: *Whispers* I want to hear it too!
Lumine: *Whispers* Storytelling later. Now we answer her question
Me: We are a quartet of travelers who embarks on a worldwide journey. My companions from right to left are Aether, Lumine, Paimon. And I am Arthur Godfrey. Please to meet you, Outrider Amber. Also, Paimon is not a mascot
Amber: There's been a large dragon sighted near Mondstadt lately. I guarantee that you guys should get in the city as soon as possible. I can escort you, but first we need to clear a hilichurl camp.
Arthur: We can help, as a sign of goodwill.
Amber lead us to a hilichurl camp nearby. We make quick work of the mooks, before dispatching the mitachurls. What surprises Amber the most, however, is how all of us can wield elemental powers without a "Vision".
Paimon: These creatures aren't normally make camps near cities like this.
Amber: Normally they camps in the wilderness, but because of the dragon - Stormterror's increased activity, they have been encroaching closer, affecting the orchards. And because of the ever rising number of knights injured due to storms, we have to stretch thin just to barely keep the creatures out of the borders & main routes
After entering the city, with Amber showing us delicacies & places, that lizard suddenly appears from nowhere, forcing us to engage it. With their powers still partially sealed, Aether and Lumine should not be able to fly with mere gliders, but...
Mysterious Voice: I'm helping you with the powers of a thousand winds.
Me: Alrighty! Prepare for a vicious dogfight, kids!
Aether: We are centuries old!
Me: Still children compared to me.
Lumine: He's right, brother. Let's show this thing who are the bosses.
Me: That's the spirit! *whips out an autocannon* DAKKA DAKKA!
Mysterious Voice: What the heck? A gun?
Long story short, after that dogfight, Librarian Lisa, Cavalry Captain Keaya and Acting Grand Master Jean Gunnhildr approach and request for our assistance. We agreed, and clearing three of the Temples of the Four Winds. Then we visit the Adventurer's Guild to update status, doing commissions here and there, getting gliding licenses. Amber somehow miss the license test guidebook with a fairy tale book.....Basically become glorified errand boys and girls with the title of "Honorary Knights" while waiting for the bigwigs to give orders. Besides that, we hunt Ruin Guards to kill time. Normal people would scoff at the idea of hunting WAR MACHINES, but....we aren't normal to begin with.
Me: *thoughts* I probably should tell them later on that hilichurls are humans turned into beasts due to hyper-acceleration of soul erosion
Timeskip:
Fatui female diplomat: If you cannot deal with the Stormterror's threat, then we will put an end to that monster once and for all
Jean: You are saying that you want to END one of the Four Winds of Mondstadt
Me: Hello there, ladies~ What is this ruckus going on?
Fatui female diplomat: Who are you, and how dare you interrupt us?
Jean: I'm sorry, he's
Me: Quiet, Jean. I am just a gentleman passing by. And you little child here must be a member of the Fatui, the Cryo Archon's ever obedient lackeys and scheming fetishists.
Fatui female diplomat: Grrr....
Me: I am pretty sure that aiming for Barbatos's power is another normal activity of yours. Bye bye~
Fatui female diplomat: We will remember this!
A few minutes later:
Jean: Do you have any idea of what you have done?
Me: Piss off a gal who totally deserves it?
Jean: And....
Me: If you are gonna say: "worsened the diplomatic relations between two nations'", then let me tell you this: You really think the current situation are salvageable after hearing her tone, attitude, AND what is basically an ultimatum?
Jean, puzzled about how Arthur knew what she's gonna say and unable to counter-argue, can only let Arthur go in frustration
Before leaving, I told her that Aether & Lumine found something valuable. Now? En route to "Good Hunter", no doubt.
Next morning, we head to the Knights's headquarters to show Jean & Lisa to show Stormterror's, or I should say, Dvalin's crystallized tear drop. They learnt that the crystal's impurities react negatively to Visions and the fact that we can use elemental powers without Visions. As we leave, Paimon says:
"You guys didn't tell them everything, do you?"
Aether: You mean the green fellow we saw talking to the dragon
Paimon: Yes!
Lumine: I spot him. He's running! Follow me.
Me: You two go first, I will catch up later
After a while, the siblings catch up with him, who's performing to some bystanders. He recognized them as the ones who scared Dvalin away. His name's Venti, and Lumine gives him the crystallized tear drop, but they fins out that it has been purified. Venti then spends his sweet time telling them the sad story of Dvalin's life, of how rage and anguish made it shed tears. He thanks them of how they have helped him greatly, then promtply leaves. That's when I announce myself.
Me: Hello.
Several arrows graze past my cheeks.
"YOU." Venti practically snarls.
Paimon: Wait, Venti! He's our...
Venti: *eyes blazing with killing intent* Stay behind me, my friends. As long as I am here, you guys shall not be sullied by his foul fingers
Lumine: Calm down Venti! Your aura is creating a storm in the middle of Mondstadt!
Me: Is this how a bard say hello in Mondstadt, because I am pretty sure not.
Aether: What have you done to cause him to be enraged like this?
Me: Later, Aether. So, are you trying to waste time or what, Venti? Or shall I say, Anemo Archon Barbatos?
Venti: Had the destruction of the citadel of Celestia 550 years ago not satisifed you? Had the worldwide natural disasters you had caused in those days not desirable enough for you?
Me: Despair Aura, level one.
The superstorm instantly vanished while Venti's trembling and sweating profusely. The Anemo God has to muster every bit of his strength and willpower just to not collapse from fear
"All worldwide disasters I cause for Teyvat on that day was totally unintentional on my side. I just forgot to suppress my power more that day. However, don't think you guys are blameless either. The entire pantheon attacked me without even bother thinking of 'sit down and talk'. But I understand why Teyvat's pantheon of gods acted like that. It's your first time dealing with otherworldly beings, after all."
Venti, still recovering from Despair Aura level one, replies:
"I....I see"
Me: I am just here to have fun. Name's Arthur Godfrey. Nice to properly meet you for the first time.
Venti: .....Nice to meet you too.
Me: Sorry for curb-stomping you and other gods on that day. I hope we can become friends.
Back with Aether, Lumine and Paimon:
Paimon: That bard is THE Anemo Archon?
Aether: And yet Sir Arthur shuts him up so easily! He didn't even put any effort!
Lumine: Also, did he just say that he curb-stomps THE ENTIRE PANTHEON OF DEITIES OF THIS WORLD?
Back with Arthur:
Me: Before you leave, Venti, let me do something for you.
I cleansed him of poison - the same kind poison that festers inside Dvalin for 500 years. Venti gratefully tells us about the Abyss Order in exchange, then he teleports away.
Me: Everything's done just before bedtime. Alright kids, let's head back to the teapot.
Lumine: Did you really fight against every deity on this world and won.
Me: Yes. All of them, at the same time
Paimon: Paimon didn't know that you're so powerful!
Aether: No wonder why you looked down on that diplomat without any fear
