The clock hit 12:00. It was here. The new year.

Fireworks were exploding, lots of noise were created here and there, toy trumpets were sounding and cheering can be heard. Ranboo was overwhelmed. He expected something loud but not his loud. But its still worth it. Tubbo on the other hand was terrified. As they were watching the fireworks explode, Tubbo would cling on to Ranboo. The louder the noise, the tighter his hug gets. Ranboo covered the younger boy's ears to muffle the loud noises at least. Even if Tubbo was terrified, he still watched the bright colorful lights in the sky. It was beautiful but terrifying.

After they lighted the fireworks they went in to eat dinner.

"Happy 3022 dear!"

Puffy kissed Tubbo's forehead.

"Happy 3022 to you to mom and dad.."

Tubbo looked at Schlatt.

"Look, I know I'm not the best dad, but happy new year Tubbo..."

Tubbo smiled a tiny bit and hugged his father.

Schlatt was surprised but he hugged back.

"Awww!! This is the first time I've seen you two hug!"

"Whatever."

Schlatt rolled his eyes.

They were eating on the dinner table talking about their plans for the year.
Tubbo was too busy thinking about what's gonna happen if he becomes crowned king of Snowchester. Does he need a queen? Will he be able to lead them properly? What if it fails? What if everything goes downhill? What if-

"Tubbo? You alright?"

Ranboo nudged him to get his attention.

"Huh? What?"

"Are you okay sweetheart?"

Puffy and Schlatt were also looking at him.

"Umm.. Yes.. Just worried for something that's gonna happen someday.."

"Like what?"

"My.. Um.. Coronation.."

Puffy put her fork down.

"Sweetie, you don't have to worry about it! Me and your dad got it all undercover. Okay?"

Tubbo nodded and went back to eating.

After they ate Tubbo went back to his room and sat down on the bed.

He has nothing to do. Yes, it was the new year and he should be celebrating but he doesn't have the energy. He can use his phone and see a new update on his wattpad but he was too lazy. He felt really unproductive and burnt out.

Ranboo came in the room.

"Tubbo are you okay? You seem a bit off.."

The taller said as he sat down beside him.

"No.. I feel very drained Boo... I feel so.. Unproductive and less energetic.."

Ranboo hugged his back and put his chin on his shoulders.

"Do you want me to show you something?"

Ranboo said softly.

"Hm? What is it?"

"Come on, I'll show you."

He got up and teleported to the roof of the castle.

Tubbo was mesmerized of the view. The stars twinkled and the view of the whole kingdom can be seen. It was around 1:30 am at the time and fireworks were done so it was silent. Some firework explosions could be heard but it was from the distance.

"Do you like it?"

"Yeah.. Its relaxing."

They sat down beside each other as they were watching the view. The slightly cold wind was comforting. Tubbo put his head on the other boy's shoulder.

"Tubbo?"

"Hm?"

"Do you want me to tell you the name of the person?"

"What person?"

"That I like.."

"Sure, go ahead if you're comfortable to tell me.."

"Promise nothing will change between us?"

"Promise."
