Y/N's POV
"YOU HAVE NOWHERE TO RUN, Y/N. NO ONE WILL ACCEPT YOU!" Father yelled after me.
I panted, keeping my sister in front of me.
"Y/N, you won't leave me this time, right?" S/N gasped.
"No, I'm sorry I did last time, S/N," I said, focusing on keeping her in front of me.
The pounding of feet behind us stopped.
We continued running, straight out of the fortress and across the bridge towards the shimmering, purple Nether portal...to the Overworld.
Father teleported to the other side of the portal, his glowing white eyes piercing through the purple. "Run, little Y/N. Run all you want. You'll come back to me soon. Soon, you'll be loyal...TO ME."
I pushed my sister through the portal, and she disappeared. Father didn't seem concerned in the slightest.
"LIKE NETHER I WILL!!!" I yelled at him before running through the portal, Father's evil smile, illuminated by the fires of the Nether, changing into the semi-familiar stone caves of the Overworld.
I saw S/N on the ground, gasping for breath.
Swiftly, I pulled out the diamond pickaxe I had stolen from Father's storage of tools and swung several times, beating out the right obsidian just above the right corner of the portal.
Both S/N and I tensed as I mined the obsidian, waiting for a wither skeleton or a zombie pigman to come through to drag us back to Father. Back to...those experiments.
Once the obsidian broke, the swirling particles faded, leaving an inactivated husk of a portal.
I put the obsidian and the pickaxe into my inventory and laid down by panting body on the ground, sitting there in silence for a moment.
"We're free...WE'RE FREE, S/N!!" I exclaimed happily.
She laughed and rolled on top of me, her stomach on my stomach.
I hugged her tightly.
"S/N, I'm so sorry I left you last time. I...don't remember what I did the last time I ran, but I regretted every day I awoke, and you weren't there. I didn't have the manpower to rescue you. I'm so sorry."
I felt a stray tear start to run down my face.
S/N saw the tear and wiped it away, smiling. "It's the past, Y/N. Now, we're free."
I sighed, gently moving S/N off me and standing up, pulling her up with me.
"We're free, but knowing Father, he'll figure out a way to return, meaning we need to find them. The N/A army."
The...N/A army? What's that?"
I chuckled as we walked through the caves, my newly-gained "flashlight" eyes lighting the way for us. "They're the army I gathered when I last escaped...about seven years ago. I had gathered about 600 N/F before four years ago when Father got me."
"But...do they know Father is your...well, father?"
I bit my lip as we climbed up a ledge.
As I helped S/N up the ledge, I answered. "...No, they've never known. I've never shown any signs of my parentage. At least...until now...." I finished with a whisper, holding my hand up in the light of my eyes. "I have his eyes...does that mean I'll get his powers?"
I saw a bit of light ahead. "Maybe. Maybe not. But...woah, Y/N, what...?" S/N trailed off as she saw my full body in the light of the midday sun.
I wore a gray t-shirt, gray shorts that came down to just above my knees, and gray socks and tennis shoes. All were covered in a bit of ash from the Nether.
But that wasn't what surprised her.
No....
It was my skin.
My hair.
My father had....
Well, remember when I said something about experiments?
Well, S/N, according to Father, wasn't quite old enough to survive the experimentation.
Me, however....
I got melded with three other mobs.
Enderman skin on, proportionally, about 25% of my body.
Creeper skin on about 25%.
Squid skin on about 25%.
Normal skin on about 25%.
However, the skins were not just all together in their own groups. My skin had patches of each randomly spread out across my body, making me look like...a freak....
I could also breathe underwater and talk to all mobs except wither skeletons. I don't think I'd be able to speak to enderman without the ender part. And probably the wither...maybe the ender dragon. I'm not checking, though.
My hair, which used to be H/C, was now...different. It couldn't decide between the three mobs I was melded with plus my original hair color, so each hair was one of four colors. Black, green, blue, or H/C.
"Y/N, what happened to you?" She asked with wide eyes.
I sighed. "Father's experiments. Enderman, Creeper, Squid. I look like a freak, don't I...?"
S/N was silent for a moment before...she hugged me. "I don't care how you look, Y/N. You're my big sister, and I'll always be there for you."
I happily smiled as I hugged her back. "Thank you, S/N."
She giggled lightly and pulled back, looking me over. "We probably want to find something to cover you up."
"Probably...." I sighed. "I hate the necessity of hiding myself, but...I suppose going into the N/A base looking like this will cause a 'shoot first, ask questions later' thing."
S/N widened her eyes. "Uh, being shot first would definitely be bad."
I laughed at her expression and grabbed her hand. "Let's look around. Maybe we'll find an abandoned base with some things to cover me with."
We then walked into the woods, leaving behind our horrible past...hopefully forever.
