Y/N's POV
I let out a deep breath, and a sound like a microphone feedback whine sounded. Many of the N/F winced and covered their ears.
"Oops. Well, that's...one way to begin. Not the way I'd prefer." I chuckled, letting my anxiety go as best I could.
Some of the N/F chuckled, too.
"Well...I have to say, there are a lot more of you than when I left. If...I can recall correctly, there were about 500 of y'all. Now there's...what did you say, B/F/N? 7,000 or so?" I asked, looking back to him.
He had taken a few steps back to give me some space. He nodded.
"Ok, 7,000. That's a lot! Um...well, I guess for the 6,500 or so that don't know me, I'm Y/N L/N, the creator of the N/A army. This is my little sister, S/N. I disappeared about 4 years ago on a lone scouting mission because...."
My vision flashed and I saw myself in the forest again.
THAT forest.
I winced and my vision returned to the crowd of N/F. S/N was gripping my hand tightly.
I think she's keeping me anchored here. Otherwise, I might accidentally go into a full-on flashback.
On a platform.
In front of thousands of people.
Uh, no thanks.
Many of the N/F were looking at me with concern.
"S-Sorry, just...had a moment there. I disappeared because I was caught by an unusually large group of mobs. They didn't kill me for reasons I'll explain later, but...they did take me ba...they took me to F...Herobrine."
I've gotta watch what I say or I'll freak out the N/F.
"He did not kill me either. Instead, he...experimented...on me."
I felt a light flash of pain on my right arm just below the shoulder blade.
The place I got stuck with needles more than once.
"He...attempted to fuse me with multiple types of mobs, to make me...into a weird person with multiple abilities. Let's just say...that only worked with one of the mobs he did ability-wise.... However...it did leave...physical marks, as well. I'm going to say this now, I look terrible, so if you don't want your children to see this, it's ok. And...if you don't like me the way I am, then you can leave. We all accept one another here, quirks and all. So if you can't accept me, leave."
I was silent for a moment, looking over the crowd.
Nobody turned away.
Nobody left.
They just watch expectantly.
I sighed and pulled off a glove, showing them my hand.
It had bits of enderman, creeper, and my skin.
Many of the N/F looked surprised, but, just like B/F/N, they seemed intrigued.
I pulled off my other glove and handed them to S/N, who let go of my hand and held them.
My other hand had all the skins on it.
"And...it's not just here. It's...everywhere."
I grabbed my cloak and slowly pulled it off, making sure my sunglasses stayed in place.
I took the hood of the cloak and put it on S/N so that the cloak hung off her head. She giggled slightly, and I smiled.
I looked across the crowd and heard many murmurs. I didn't know what they were saying.
I took a step forward and looked at myself for a moment.
I still had on the gray clothes, though they weren't covered in ash anymore.
I guess they cleaned me up a little?
My skin was still the same. Freakish. Very freakish. I felt...really scared as the N/F saw me at my near full look. While I did say they should leave if they didn't like how I looked, I still felt scared that they would judge me very harshly.
Heh, just let them wait until they see my eyes.
If, uh, they don't murder me....
"Yeah...I have proportionally 25% of each skin. Creeper, Squid, Enderman, and my own. I also got the ability to breath underwater and water doesn't affect the ender skin."
I was silent for a bit as I crossed my arms, rubbing them a bit.
I subconsciously pushed the sunglasses back up my face to cover my eyes better.
"I know...I look like an absolute freak of nature."
"No, you don't! You're unique!"
"I personally think that you look really cool."
"Different doesn't always mean bad!"
There were many murmurs of agreement, but I chuckled humorlessly at the last full sentence I heard. "'Different doesn't always mean bad'? I suppose you may be correct in that statement, but...this different...MY different...isn't just my skin or what you see at the moment. You heard me mention Herobrine. Do you all know of him?"
I heard mostly agreement, but there were still quite a few shakes and nos.
"Well, for those who don't, I'll try to make it as short as I possibly can. Herobrine is one of three brothers, though he and Notch are gods and Steve is an immortal human. Herobrine rules the Nether, but he really wants to rule the Overworld. Notch rules the Aether and mostly the Overworld, but Steve, The first Minecraftian, watches over the Overworld, though no one's heard from him in decades. But back to Herobrine. He's evil. Like, EXTREMELY evil. He would slaughter an entire town without a second thought. And...well...."
I looked to S/N to see fear in her eyes. She knew what I was going to say next.
"He's...he's...."
I sighed and looked down, closing my eyes and removing my sunglasses. Without opening my eyes, I handed my sunglasses to my sister who took them shakily.
"He's...my...father...." I sighed, looking up and opening my eyes as I finished.
The crowd gasped and seemed to move back a step as one.
I heard the unsheathing of many swords and looked to the side to see many of the guards with their swords out and many of the sorcerers with their hands lit or bodies shimmering with magic.
B/F/N took a step forward. "Wait!"
Everyone froze as S/N scooted closer to me.
"She's not like him!"
"B/F/N, I haven't even proven to you that I am who I say I am. All I have are words. Why do you trust me so much?" I whispered, though the crowd still heard it.
He looked to me with sad eyes. "Because...I've known you for 3 years. I've seen how you work, both publicly and privately. And just in case someone gets any strange ideas, not like that. I mean when she's not in front of crowds. And...you're acting exactly like her all those years ago. Nobody can act like you except you. Not even a god. Nobody can pull off what you do. You are utterly and truly unique."
I looked out to the crowd and they all tensed. "N/F...what is STOCKS?"
The crowd was super quiet aside from a few whispers.
Then...a young girl stepped up. She looked about 12.
"Rachel! Come back!" A woman called quietly.
Rachel looked back for a moment before coming up to the platform. There was no fear in her eyes.
I walked to the edge of the platform and knelt down, smiling at her. I noticed her (Symbol of your Army) symbol.
"It's...um...St-Stealth...." She trailed off, looking at me.
"Stealth. Yes. What about the rest?" I asked kindly.
She smiled lightly. "T-Trust, Observation, Care, Kindness, and Strength."
I nodded. "Stealth-the ability to go around without being seen, Trust-trusting one another to accomplish great things, Observation-to tell if something is out of place or someone is lying, Care-to help those in need no matter who they are, Kindness-even in the worst of times with the worst of people, and Strength-the ability to hold your own, but also when to let others hold you up. STOCKS. The six main components of the N/A army." I smiled at her lightly before standing up and backing up.
She grinned and went back to the woman who had called her. I'ma guess that she was Rachel's mother.
"And...as far as I can remember, did I...did Y/N ever lie to you or hide things from you in the years she was here?"
"She never told us her parentage!" Someone called.
I sighed. "I didn't hide it. I never thought that it was important. I never thought he would catch me. Also, no one ever asked."
The crowd remained silent after that.
I looked to see some of the guards and sorcerers had their weapons or magics up but others still had them out. Candid, Bren, and Garrett were some of the ones with it put up. Candid was watching me warily, though.
I looked to S/N to see her watching me, fear still apparent in her eyes. B/F/N was watching me with curiosity.
I looked back to the crowd to see them still scared.
I sighed and walked to the edge of the platform, getting down onto my knees like you see people meditating people do sometimes. I placed my hands in my lap and looked out across the crowd. "Can you trust me again, N/F? Can we be the family we once were?"
...Nothing. No one moved.
Then...Rachel stepped forward. Her mother looked to her with disbelief. "I trust you, Y/N."
A man who looked to be in his 50s stepped forward. "As do I."
"And me."
"Me too."
"Let's make this family whole again!"
More and more N/F stepped forward, saying their words to me. I didn't catch many after that first few, but one voice did stick out to me.
Candid was next to me on the platform. "Trust has to begin somewhere. Why don't we start it now?"
B/F/N knelt next to me and S/N hugged me from behind. She must've put the stuff down.
I felt tears coming from my eyes.
"Thank you...all...." I whispered.
NOW...I was truly home.
