Y/N's POV
"Woah...that's a lot of books." S/N said in awe.
"Yeah, well, when you have as many followers as we do going in and out of the castle and city and stuff, there's a lot of knowledge to be had." Seto replied with a shrug.
"37.91 million, at least." I said.
Sky looked at me with probably wide eyes. "How the heck would you know??"
"My army calculated your numbers every few days to make sure nothing bad was going on. There's only about 4 or 5 million in the kingdom at a time, though."
"That's quite strange, Y/N." Seto said quietly as he walked towards a table with an open book. "Though, it's not the strangest. This...is probably the strangest." He added, pointing towards the book.
I walked over with S/N and looked down at the book.
There were words...I think. But they were all...weird-looking. Undecipherable. But then there was this picture on the other page. Two girls. One looked...well, as I would put it, freakish. Crazy splotched skin and insanely dyed hair.
Except I knew the hair wasn't dyed...it was made that way. Turned that way, to be more precise.
It...it was me!
And the girl beside her must've been my sister!
They were emerging from a cave, just like we did about a day or so ago.
"Y-Y/N...isn't that...us?" S/N asked, confused.
I nodded silently, equally as confused.
"What are you two doing?" Sky asked, looking down at the picture.
"That...was about a day ago. We had just escaped from the Nether." I explained simply, bothered by the picture.
It was accurate in its drawings. I could see the ash of the Nether clearly on both our skins. It was creepy, to say the least.
I touched the strange words on the other page, my head tilted slightly. "Something's strange about these words. They feel...deliberately warped and twisted."
Suddenly, the topmost words on the page began to shift and spell out something.
The Prophecy
"The Prophecy? Someone had a fun time trying to come up with names for something important." Sky said sarcastically.
S/N swatted his arm. "Be nice, and look! The next line is doing something!"
The golden glow will dull once more
"AHHH IT SAID THE G-WORD--" Sky started shouting.
Seto slapped a hand over his mouth to stop him. "An old prophecy is not going to adhere to your strange vernacular, Sky. Chill out."
Both S/N and I snickered at their light banter, glancing down at the page again.
The words continued to decipher themselves.
The graceful trip on high
The astronaut will hate his place
The dark
The words stopped translating partway through the sentence and seemed to skip to the next line.
The hidden beast will be unleashed
The wild will go home
The fire rebuilds in places strange
The unnoticed shall freely roam
Then, at last, when all is fulfilled
The final day shall come
For he who has been lost so long
His darkness shall succumb
"This...prophecy is...daunting, at the very least." Seto said after a moment. "And what's with the one line not translating...?"
"I dunno, but this whole thing sounds bad. Most of the lines have negative connotations up until the very end." I replied softly, studying the newfound text. "Why did it react to me touching it?"
"Maybe because you're in the picture?" Seto guessed.
"What is this book even called?" I asked, closing the book to look at the front.
It was just blank, a generic book covering of leather.
"I don't know, either. It was buried in the back of the library for who knows how long."
S/N picked up the book and flipped through the pages curiously. "Most of the pages look unreadable just like the one you flipped to, Seto. Maybe this is just a book of prophecies waiting to be touched by those it prophesizes about?"
"That's a good prediction. Better than any I could come up with." Sky added, having been silent for a while.
"As if you could come up with anything better. You almost never come in here." Seto said, mock-glaring at Sky.
Sky simply grinned sheepishly in return.
"Well, do we have any ideas on what that first line could mean? What glow that dulls? And it apparently dulls 'once more,' meaning it's dulled before?" I asked, looking at the group around me.
"Considering it showed itself to you, it either has something to do with you or someone close to you." Seto surmised.
"I mean, it definitely can't be all about me considering I'm not an astronaut or wild. I might have a hidden beast what with what's supposed to happen in 4...days...." I trailed off, my eyes widening. "Oh Notch, 4 days...! I'm gonna go absolutely insane with evil in 4 days! What are we supposed to do?!"
Sky looked very worried. "And I worry about your N/F. They'll go insane with evil, as well."
I nodded wearily. "I know...I don't know what I'm supposed to do about that. I don't want them getting killed or killing others. And I worry for B/F/N. He'll have to go into hiding or come here or something."
"I feel that when the time comes, it'll be safer for your friend to come here. We can definitely protect him." Seto said quietly, looking at the book still in S/N's hands.
I nodded. "Thanks for that. But now the more prominent elephant in the room...what do we do about me...? I'm clearly becoming more powerful with each passing day and there's no telling how strong I'll be the day I turn 20. Nor can we tell what other powers I'll have. I seem to be able to summon my chosen weapon to myself no matter where I am and I can break into private telepathic conversations."
"I fear you may be even stronger than Sky was if your powers are showing themselves days before you turn...." Seto replied with a wince.
"That doesn't bode well for me.... If Sky showed nothing and Y/N shows something days before, how soon will I start showing powers...?" S/N asked, sounding frightened.
I gave her a shaky grin. "Well, if it's even earlier than mine seems to be showing, then at least we'll have more time to prepare for you. And...if the pattern is that each sibling is stronger than the next, then we'll be able to prepare for that, too. I just hope there aren't any more surprises than what we already know will happen...."
Seto huffed. "Knowing brines, there are always more surprises when anything involves them."
All of us, minus Seto, winced at that. "I'm sorry if I become a burden...." I muttered.
Seto shook his head. "You seem well and fine as yourself minus the occasional panic attack due to your father. I mean, you definitely can't be bad to have enough followers to call yourself an army like ourselves."
"I'm not nearly as grand as you all are. Even your smallest army dwarfs ours by several thousands of people. I think your army is the smallest if I remember correctly, Seto. Magic users aren't the most populous of people, but we still only have about 7,000."
"I think your city is pretty grand in and of itself, though, Y/N. Not many, if any, can claim to have a whole city underground."
I glanced at Sky. "That's thanks to B/F/N. It would've been more classified as a hole in the ground when I last saw it. He made it grandiose and all that."
"So what should we do now? I like standing around talking, but I feel like we should prepare somehow for Y/B." S/N said after a moment of silence.
"Well, as much as I'd like to try training with my newish weapon, I feel like that'd be a bad idea for now. The less I know how to fight, the easier it'll be for everyone else to stop me later on."
S/N looked nervous at that statement. "Just as long as they don't kill you...."
"Hey, they managed to not kill me, and I was pretty tough!" Sky said with a grin.
"Yeah, but how bad was it?" I asked worriedly.
Seto and Sky looked at each other with a slight grimace. "Uhh...pretty...pretty bad. We lost a lot of good people...." Sky said quietly, looking guilty.
"S-Sorry...didn't mean to bring up any bad memories...."
Sky waved it off. "I-It's fine. Anyway, S/N is right. We should find some way to prepare for when you turn 20."
"But how does one stop a child of Herobrine? Actually, I guess a better question...how did everyone stop you and get you back?"
Seto and Sky glanced at each other again, hesitation clear in their eyes. Seto finally answered after several moments of silence. "We, ah...umm...that's...we kind of had to beat him up really badly and then used a super rare potion on him to get him back.... We don't have any more of those potions, either...the ingredients are so rare that it took us two weeks to find everything. We didn't think we'd need more than one...."
I grimaced. "I don't really want to get beat up, but I suppose that may have to happen if you can get the potion together again."
"That two weeks was because one of the ingredients is on the other side of Minecraftia from where we are and heavily protected by an ancient tribe. We can send someone out now to get it, but...we'll have to hold out against you and your army for a while."
"This would go a lot smoother if I could be put in a magical coma or something...."
Seto looked at me with wide eyes. "That's not...the worst idea, actually. Then we'd only need to worry about your army unless your coming-of-age wakes you up."
"Where in the Overworld did this idea come from?" Sky asked, confusion obvious in his voice.
I shrugged. "I dunno, all this socializing's got me a bit sleepy and I just thought of, like, sleeping for a long time and boom. Magical coma."
S/N chuckled a bit. "You always did like your sleep."
I wince-smiled. "Well, it was one of the only escapes I had in between all the...you know...experimenting...."
"Who did we send to the tribe last time...?" Seto began thinking out loud. "I think it was Jerome."
I looked at Seto. "Jerome? Why him?"
Seto smiled. "The ancient tribe is a tribe of baccas. I don't know if you know, but the majority of baccas don't like humans considering humans hunted them down for their fur."
Sky scrunched up his nose. "It's a practice that's been illegalized for many years."
I chuckled. "That's definitely not a word. But yeah, I'm glad it's illegal. Baccas are cool."
Sky nodded. "Especially our fluffy. He's an idiot sometimes, but without his help, Minecraftia would've been in ruins a while ago."
"I'm guessing Mitch didn't go with him because of the whole 'disliking humans' thing." I added.
Sky grinned. "Actually, he did, he just stayed out of sight when they arrived. You can't just split up Merome."
S/N grinned back. "They sound really close. Like me and Y/N!"
I ruffled her hair, grinning equally as much.
Seto smiled at the sight of us grinning at one another. "You guys make great siblings."
S/N set the book down on the table again, looking at Seto. "Do you have any siblings, Seto?"
Seto shook his head. "At least, not that I know of. Entity isn't much of a father figure."
I tched. "A truly dark, evil sorcerer? Nooo...."
Sero chuckled. "Well, the rest of the day is your guys'. I'm gonna go talk with some of my army and see if this magical coma idea could work. If you're actually okay with it, anyway."
I nodded slowly. "Anything to make it easier on everyone when the time comes."
Seto returned the nod and left the library.
S/N looked around for a moment. "I wanna go see the kingdom!"
Sky grinned. "I'll be happy to show you around!"
S/N clapped her hands and grabbed Sky's, dragging him from the library with surprising strength for a 10-year-old.
I followed behind, smiling at her excitement.
Oh...to be carefree as she....
So...yeah. It's been a while. Like, almost 3 years lol
I'm super sorry. And I apologize as well for the disintegration in my writing due to not having written for a looooong time
I'm considering really getting back into writing so I have something to do in-between times that I'm working (that's right, yo girl's got a job now!)

Edit: I didn't know anything going on with IRL Adam. I just wanna clarify that in case people get mad at me for writing a story about him in a positive manner. This is the old, 2017 Adam, or even earlier than that. I guess that's the point of a fanfiction, to write a world where you make the characters the way you want.
