Y/N's POV

As soon as they were gone, Sky fell back onto the bed with a theatrical groan.  "Why is being a leader so haaaaaard?"  He whined.

I snickered at his suddenly-childish behavior.  "Having to keep track of an entire group and making sure they're all well off is difficult."

He put his hands behind his head, staring up at the white ceiling.  "Sometimes, there are days where I wish I didn't have these powers, this parentage.  That I would be a normal Minecraftian.  Yet, at the same time, I'm kinda glad I have these powers."

He sat up and lit his hand, staring at the budder-colored magic.  "I've been able to protect the people better when it comes to mobs.  Plus, my extra strength and stamina have allowed me to help out even more than before...."

S/N, who had been sitting on the bed next to him silently, watched the flickering magic with interest.  "Were you...aware of what was happening when you became evil?"  She asked quietly.

Sky winced.  "I...sort of?  I mean, I was aware, but the evilness...felt so right.  It felt natural and fun and all the...killing...."  He trailed off.

"So...the evilness took over the kindness and you basically became ok with it?"

Sky tilted his head slightly as his magic went out.  "Basically.  There was still a snippet of kindness showing that tried to stop the major evil in me, which caused me to hesitate at times.  It bothered F---Herobrine, but nothing he, and, at the time, I, did could stop the 'annoying' kindness, as he called it.  He just told me to ignore it.  Of course, that obviously didn't work, but it certainly helped the kingdom when I hesitated for even a second.  It's amazing how much can happen in the span of a second...."

I shivered slightly.  "One moment, you're calmly walking through the forest, the next, surrounded by mobs taking you back to your father...."

Sky looked at me with a slightly concerned face while S/N glanced at me.  "You...said something about that before.  What...happened?"  S/N asked.

I bit my lip.  "I...."

S/N noticed my hesitance and frowned.  "I'm sorry, you don't have to tell me if it makes you uncomfortable...."

I shook my head and sat down on a chair near S/N's bed.  Sky sat on the edge of his bed closest to me.

"No...I should tell someone.  I've...never told anyone what happened exactly....  It may help to get it off my chest after all these years...."

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for a moment.  "It was...a little over 4 years ago....  Someone mentioned a possible cave filled with materials we needed, and this was the time before the N/F created the underground mines...."

~~Mystical flashback of mysticality~~

I glanced back at the hill that hid the entrance to the base before starting eastward.

One of my N/F had mentioned a cave that could hold some valuable materials that we needed.  The cave was about 40 chunks eastward, which passed a bit closer to the Budder Kingdom than I would've liked.  However, we needed materials, and a lot of close-by caves have already been cleaned out either by the Budder Kingdom or us.

It was nighttime, but it was the best time to go since people were asleep at this time.  I didn't have to worry about running into any people from the kingdom.  Even if I did, I still had stealth on my side, as well as an iron sword with Sharpness II in case I came across any mobs.  They may not be aggressive towards me, but that wouldn't stop them from somehow informing Father that I was nearby.

I walked for a little while, listening to the quiet rustling of the trees in the wind.

Suddenly, I heard faint explosions coming from the direction I was heading.

I frowned.  What was happening?

As a safety precaution, I quickly climbed into a tree and the jumped nearly silently from tree to tree.  Not only did it give me a better vantage point, but I was also hidden from anyone on the ground.

A few minutes later, I paused as I heard faint yelling.

What in the Overworld was going on?

I slowly crept closer and peeked out of the trees near the edge of the forest, my face nearly becoming completely white from the sight that I saw.

Hundreds of people from the kingdom were cladded in diamond armor with swords or bows, and they were rapidly shooting and cutting down mobs that came at them from all sides.  The ground was littered with the corpses of the civilians (since mob corpses just disappeared, occasionally leaving their drops), but the mobs just seemed to keep coming.

With wide eyes, I continued to look around, trying to figure out what was happening exactly.

And then I sensed an extremely familiar aura.

It was faint due to being further away, but after being THERE for so long, it had been committed to memory.

The malicious aura of Father.

Dear Notch.  Father was launching a full-scale attack on the kingdom.  But why?

The aura got slightly stronger, meaning he was coming closer.  Whether it was because of me or not, I knew that I had to get out of here.  It hurt me deeply that I couldn't stay to help the people, but...I just...couldn't go back.

I swiftly turned and jumped through the trees away from the battle.  I considered heading back to base, but if Father was following me, there was absolutely no way I'd let him find my N/F.

I continued in the direction of the cave, hoping that I could maybe duck inside and hide.

I hopped from tree to tree as silently as possible for several minutes.

I grew tired and stopped behind a canopy of leaves to catch my breath.

I then heard faint footsteps of different varieties heading in my direction from all sides.

Slow dragging footsteps, limp-like rattling footsteps, rapid footsteps, slow footsteps....

Oh dear Notch.

Ooooh dear Notch.

Please no.

I peeked past a leaf and stifled a gasp.

There were mobs approaching my tree on all sides.  Spiders, zombies, skeletons, endermen, creepers....

They were all talking to each other quietly, but I couldn't really make out any words.  I didn't understand what the endermen were saying, though, which made sense.

Suddenly, something shot through the air and buried itself in my right leg, causing me to cry out in pain.

The force of it as well as the involuntary need to move away from the attacker caused me to fall out of the tree, landing on the ground HARD.  I swiftly removed the arrow and unsheathed my sword, though I barely knew how to use it.

Blood was already starting to stain my pants, and the blood loss was making me slightly dizzy, not to mention that the pain just made it worse, obviously.

"Hmm...ssseemsss we found ourssselvesss a little runaway....  Lord Herobrine wasss indeed correct~"  One of the creepers hissed.

My eyes were wide as I backed into the tree, my sword pointed out towards the mobs.  "N-No, st-stay away!"

Most of the skeletons had their bows trained on me, ready to release at a moment's notice.  A zombie stumbled forward, and I pointed my sword directly at it.

The zombie seemed to grin as it reached forward and calmly pushed the sword away.  I growled at it and swung my sword as hard as I could against its neck.

It...didn't quite completely get through the neck, but I swung again and the zombie disintegrated, leaving behind a piece of rotten flesh.

A skeleton decided to shoot me in the leg again, and I barely made a noise that time.

"Why don't you m-m-make this easier on us all and-d-d you c-c-come along qu-qu-quietly?"  The skeleton rattled.

I grimaced, trying to somehow connect back to...anyone at the base through my leader position, but I was either too far away or I was too weak.  I believed the latter.

I pulled out the arrow again and nearly fell to my knees.

Yup.  Definitely~ getting dizzy from blood loss and probably the increasing pain....

I had to support myself on my sword.  "No...I c-can't...go back....  He'll k-kill me...."

The skeleton shrugged, its bones clacking together.  "Not-t-t our problem.  We simply obey Lord-d-d Herobrine."

I sneered at the skeleton.  "Then you can go tell your lord to go **** himself."

The skeleton was taken aback at my language, which gave me the precious second I needed.  I threw my sword at the skeletons and jumped up as swiftly as I could into the tree.

I had jumped a couple trees away before the mobs realized I was getting away.

I didn't know what direction I was heading exactly since my senses were a bit messed up due to my injuries....  All I knew was that I needed to get away.

I was running on adrenaline and I knew I wouldn't get far if I didn't believe I was in danger.

I could barely think straight.

Just....

Get away from them.

Run.

I jumped and ducked through multiple trees, constantly hearing the rattling footsteps, the scurried legs of spiders climbing trees, the hisses of the creepers, the low moans of the zombies....

I didn't think I could handle much more.

I took yet another jump...but missed by a quarter of a block.

With a yelp, I fell to the ground, crying out as I landed on my injured leg before falling on my side.

With desperation being my only ally, I drug myself across the ground, noticing a small cave a few blocks away.

Something grabbed me by my uninjured leg's foot and drug me backwards, away from the cave.

"NO!"  I cried, struggling a bit weakly against the pull.

Something then wound itself around my legs, trapping them together, making my injured leg hurt worse.

My arms were forced to my sides as I finally saw what had wound itself around my legs as it began winding about my torso.

The spiders were cocooning me....

I began struggling wildly, probably injuring my leg more.  At this point, though, the pain was barely even registering.  I was freaking out hardcore.  Not like the struggling really did anything, anyway....

The spiders backed away from the writhing, cocooned mass on the ground that was me.  The only thing not cocooned was my head.

One of the skeletons, maybe that one from before, gave a rattled sigh.  "What-t-t is with you Minecraft-t-t-tians and being so st-st-stubborn...?"

I had stopped struggling at this point and was shivering slightly, due to both the slight night chill and the fact that I was still freaked out.

"Please...."  I whispered.  "Don't...Don't take me back there.  He'll kill me...."

What was wrong with me?!  They're freaking emotionless mobs that are my father's minions!  Why am I pleading with them?!

The skeleton laughed, making me shiver more from how...creepy it was.  "Being d-d-dead isn't-t-t all bad~  You just ne-ne-never get to see the sun ag-ag-again."

The zombies picked me up rather roughly, and I started freaking out again.  "N-NO!!  PUT ME DOWN!!!  HELP!!"

The mobs laughed their various laughs before one decided to knock me out.

Thanks.

)------------(

As I came to, I immediately noticed how much warmer it was.

I didn't need to open my eyes to know where I was.

The freaking Nether.

I finally opened my eyes, taking note that I was still moving and that I was facing the roof of the Nether.

I felt something around my mouth and I was still cocooned up.  I apparently hadn't been out that long.

I shook my head slightly, trying to look around.

Zombie pigmen were carrying me now since normal mobs didn't particularly enjoy being in the Nether for obvious reasons.

After a few minutes, I was more or less fully awake.  I struggled slightly, but I was exhausted, both from my healing injury and the adrenaline rush from earlier, so I stopped almost immediately.

Oh my Notch, I'm so freaking dead....

After a short while from that revelation, we neared a Nether Fortress.  Father's fortress.

I stiffened as I sensed the aura from earlier, though it seemed a bit weaker than before.

Father's malicious aura, though it had an undertone of some emotion...I could barely register it, but it seemed like...regret?

We entered the fortress and the pigmen took me to the room Father resided in.

I could sense the aura better, but it seemed like he was...a bit injured?  Good, glad the kingdom got some serious damage on him.  He seriously deserves it.

Once we entered the room, the pigmen practically threw me onto the ground before leaving.

I winced from the impact.

"Well...it's been some time, hasn't it, Y/N?"

I froze and looked over to the source of the voice.

Father was sitting on a sort of throne, his head leaning on his fist.  He looked pretty beaten up, but even I could see that he was healing up from it.

He slowly stood up and started over to me.

I shook my head rapidly and tried to push myself away, but that obviously didn't really do anything.

Father smirked at my attempt.  "Tell me, where have you been the past several years?  Your sister has been quite lonely without you...."

I glared at him.  S/N would be around 6 years old at this point, though it'd be hard to tell since Nether time and Overworld time fluctuate strangely.  1 minute in the Nether could be a day in the Overworld, or a day in the Nether could be a minute in the Overworld.  It was very...unstable in terms of time, which was why very few people ever came to the Nether.  It suited Father well, anyways, since he wasn't really a people person.

I felt myself being drug towards him and yelped, frantically struggling against the bonds.

I floated up so that I was eye level with him.  I shrank away from his bright stare as best I could.

"I'm done being the nice guy.  I didn't get to with him, but he was a guinea pig, in a way.  Now...."

He cocked his head and got a little closer.  My eyes widened.  "Now...I can finally begin testing~"

I had not truly realized how bad that meant for me until it happened....

~~End of mystical flashback~~

I opened my eyes, noticing that I was shivering quite badly.

Sky and S/N were watching me, S/N with wide eyes.  "Oh my Notch...that's...horrible...."

I nodded.  "Obviously, at the time, I didn't know that Father had meant Sky was the "guinea pig," but...yeah...."

I breathed out heavily.  "I definitely feel better, though...."

"I'd say."  Sky agreed.  "I felt like the world came off my shoulders once I told everyone about who I was and am.  There's just something about words that can make you feel physically better."

"It's very strange...."  I muttered.

I stiffened slightly when I heard the infirmary door open, but relaxed when I saw that it was just Seto.

Sky grinned.  "Perfect timing, amirite?"

I snickered slightly at his childish tone once again.  Seto looked slightly confused.  "We just finished storytime with Y/N.  It was...interesting, to say the least."  Sky vaguely explained.

Seto nodded slightly.  "I'd like to know more later, but I found what I was trying to find.  Follow me."

S/N glanced at me and at Seto before slowly standing up.  "Ok."

She grabbed my arm and held it close, being a bit frightened from the recent situations.

Sky stood and stretched before going towards Seto.

Seto looked around at us before turning and heading out the door.

"Are you gonna be ok, Y/N?  You seemed a bit scared when you finished...."

I smiled down at her as we left the infirmary behind Sky.  "S/N, I'm ok.  I feel so much better after telling the whole story...."

She smiled lightly and stayed close to me as we followed Seto and Sky through the castle.

We passed by quite a few people, but most just gave us a confused glance.  A few, though, watched us warily.

Finally, we stopped in front of a door.

Seto mumbled under his breath and the door opened.  "I magically locked it so that no one would disturb the books while I was gone.  It's not like that most of the time."

S/N squeezed my arm slightly as we entered...the library.
