The game we play Chapter 3

Fallacy's P.O.V

I held her wrist with a firm grasp and from her struggling sent amusement to my eyes. I was smiling down at her making sure my white fangs glimmered at her under the moons light. Barely anyone has walked through these woods if you didn't count Vampires, but seeing how a girl at her size entered I don't know whether she was brave or either stupid.

She stared at me in shock when I smiled and that only caused me to smile more. If I frightened her then she wouldn't do anything stupid or try to disobey me, at least that's what I count on.

When she finally spoke it mostly came out in a stutter, "Y-y-your a-"

"Vampire?" I cut her off to finish her sentence, "Well why do you act so surprised? These woods are well known for myths."

I watched as she tried to regain strength as she snapped her arms away from me. Doing this I made her feel in more control even though I was going to let go of her wrist. Her arms were now crossed as she gave me a stern look like a mother scolding her child for doing something wrong. Now confused I saw her look away from me, "How do I get out of these woods?"

I blinked a few times. She recovered from shock so quickly, " Why do you think it'll be that easy to escape MY woods? Especially when I don't want you to leave~"

I wanted to play with my prey. She turned back to look at me and I noticed a small dust of blush scatter her face. I smirked and began to walk towards her causing her to back up away from me. To her lose there was a tree behind her and she didn't notice until her back was pressed against it and it was already to late to run away because I pinned her.

She squirmed and I smirked more pressing my lips against her cheek gently, "Why do you want to go so quickly?~"

She stopped squirming and to my surprise she pressed herself into me, " You know what, your probably right~"

I looked down at her and she looked awfully beautiful. I leaned myself down to her lips but before our lips met I felt her knee connect with my ribs causing me to stumble backwards and she escaped, sprinting away.

Clever girl

So this must be a game. I smiled, a fools game because in the end I'll win.

I sprinted with a powerful speed in her direction. I wasn't going to be outsmarted by a village girl. She seemed different from everyone else. I already know that she's the first to have stood up to me. I was quite angry at myself to have been tricked so easily. It was like I was the wolf and she was the fox but with some slyness was able to get past my traps.

I sighed and saw her footprints end.

Where's she go?

I started to look around in confusion. I've never lost a mortal but this? She can't just disappear on me....can she? I kept looking until I hear the rustle of leaves above me. I glanced up to see a familiar small figure crouched in a branch staring down at me. I smiled and slithered my blue strings up the trunk of the tree and to the branch. She knew I had already seen her and she stood up ready to jump to the next branch but when she jumped my strings attacked, wrapping around her and keeping her up in midair.

I heard her struggles and her yells of frustration which only made me chuckle. I slowly lowered her down to me until we were both face to face.

I was smiling. Enjoying her struggles, " I win."

She blew air in my face making me squint, "You played unfair."

Shrugging I set her down on the ground with my strings still wrapped around her, " Who said we were suppose to play fair? I don't see a rule book."

Her arms were crossed like last time and she let out a low huff of irritation, " I barley even know you and you still wanted to catch me."

I smirked, " I don't get many visitors, but you are the first to really make me feel a little small. Maybe even smaller than you."

She went and kicked me in the knee which made me yelp in surprise and hold my leg now hoping on the other, "I'm not short! I'm average height! Your just very tall!"

I set my leg down and walked up to her, laughing a little, "I'll let you believe that. Well anyways lets go."

She looked at me like I was stupid, " I'm not going anywhere with you."

I raised my finger to her as if mocking her, " Well if you stay out here then you'll find out what other myths are true. And some aren't very friendly. You were just lucky to have ran into me."

She mumbled, "I don't feel very lucky."

I put my hand to my head as if trying to hear her, " What was that?"

She shouted, " I don't feel very lucky!"

I put my hand to my soul trying to act hurt, " Now that's just plain rude." I went and picked her up bridal style letting the strings off of her, " But you don't have a choice to come with me."

She tried to push away from me and I wished she was scared because I felt like she'd listen to me. Now that she doesn't want to be frightened she extremely stubborn!

I held her tighter and showed her how strong I was. Now she wasn't able to move and her gaze shifted to mine as if in disbelief. I quirked a smile at her and she quickly looked away in rebellion. I let my wings form behind me and spread out in a long span but I didn't spread them all the way out because of the trees and other plant growth that was taking place. I flapped and took off to the skies, Encre now holding on to me.

As I was flying I looked down at her, the moon light casted a lovely glow to her face making her almost angelic. She watched the forest below us in pure awe and amazement. I pressed my cheek to the top of her head, glad to be holding her. I know I just met her but already I feel weird with her and I just don't understand what it is.....

Soon, we arrived at my castle. Instead of going through the doors I decided to go through one of the open windows. I landed on my feet and brought my wings in until they were hidden under my cape. Encre was a little dazed and wobbled once I set her down on her feet. It made me smile softly at her.

"Oh, my lord."

I jumped startled from the voice.

Suave walked through the doors into the room, "I am so sorry for the disturbance but ask why this young girl is here?"

I stood up straight before I spoke, " Her name is Encre and I would be pleased if you gave her a room. The guest room nearest to my room would be nice Suave.

Suave bowed before leaving to get the room ready for Encre. I looked over to see her sitting on a chair. I walked over to her and patted the top of her head, but instead she swatted my hand away in disapproval, "You had no right to take me here."

I sat in the chair next to hers and crossed my legs, "Well you were in MY woods so I had all right to take you."

She rolled her eyes, "Tellement stupide" (So stupid)

I narrowed my eyes at her, "What did you say?"

A small smile had appeared on her mouth, "What? Did I say something?"

I growled and looked at her, "Better tell me what you said."

She hesitated but kept up her smile, "Or what?"

I didn't want to explain it to her so instead I decided to show her. I picked her up and pinned her to the wall.

She looked up at me, "This again? Didn't you learn what would happen?"

I smiled down at her knowing she can only do something once, not twice. I took her hands in mine and pinned them above her head and pressed my body against hers, not allowing her to raise her legs to kick or knee me. Looking at her now was amusing. She looked like the helpless rabbit and not the sly fox.

I lowered my mouth to her neck which made her begin to struggle as I brushed my fangs on her sensitive neck.

She tried to push me off, "S-stop, I'm sensitive there."

I smirked, "Do you think telling will make me stop?"

I pressed my tongue on her neck and gently licked up. She trembled and struggled a little less. I trailed my tongue all the way up to the side of her cheek where I whispered, "If you don't learn your place then I'll be here to show you~"

I felt her shudder and I let her wrists go. She regained her normal breaths but some blush was noticeable on her face. It was very colorful, yet adorable. I already figured out what I was feeling for this girl, love. It was obvious when I was deciding where her room should be. The tingling feeling, the sweaty palms, nervousness around her. I held it all back and showed her but....maybe I was to hard on her.

When I saw her she looked shocked and confused. What made me happy was I didn't see a hint of hate. I felt hope. But I can't fall in love with a mortal, it's against the rules. My council would kill her or....I would have to mark her. I can't do that to her.

Suave entered the room, "The room is all ready for the new arrival my lord."

I nodded, "Thank you Suave. Please take her to her new room. "

Suave bowed and started to escort Encre to her room. I on the other hand, was going to find out a few things about her and the library was just the place to.
