Meeting Frisk Chapter 29
Encre's P.O.V
I felt almost drained when I woke up. I remember that piercing pain in my neck and my shocked, surprised face as I tried to pull away from Fallacy. My weary eyes looked around and I knew I was somewhere I wasn't before. It smelled like medicine and chemicals.
A hospital?
I let out a sigh and tried to lift my arms up but they felt like stone. So heavy and I was just too tired to do much. Maybe there were buildings in Red's pack. I was in a bed and besides that was a tray full of tools and a unrolled thing of bandages laid tumbling down from the tray and into a sprawl on the floor.
The door to the room was closed but the ruckus behind it was pretty loud.
"Alpha! A Vampire on our land!? What are you thinking!?" Someone shouted.
There was a low growl as I heard Red shout back, "It's my decision and we're allies with him for now!"
"Yes alpha." Whoever was talking to him with a concerned tone now backed down.
"Just make sure you keep him contained." Red said lowly.
Keep him contained!?
I almost shot up from the bed but my limbs were still refusing to do as I wanted. It was almost like I was forcefully glued to the bed.
"What about the female?" Someone asked.
"Keep her in the packs cells for now. I'm going to check on Encre." Red said.
I went still and closed my eyes once the door opened and the sound of footsteps echoed in the room. I thought if I stayed as perfectly still then he wouldn't acknowledge me and maybe he'd leave me alone.
"Hey, runt I know you're awake." Red said as he pushed my side probably in effort to nudged me but when he tried it made me wince from the force.
I opened my eyes and saw Red's eyes staring back down at me, "Do you think you can move?"
Thinking for a moment I tried to lift myself again but couldn't. Red let out a sigh and left the room to soon come back with a folded wheelchair thrown over his shoulder. He placed it down on the ground and unfolded it, "I'm going to get your ass in this thing and you're not going to fight me, okay?"
I nodded and felt his arms slip under my legs and on my back as he heaved me up from the hospital's bed and down into the wheelchair. There was nothing big in this hospital room unless you like to look at metal tools and a bed. That was about it.
Red started to push the wheelchair out of the room until we were going down the halls. I took peaks into the other rooms and took note of all the blood or groans. I shuddered as rushing nurses and doctors ran to each room is rushes.
"The mole's men are coming after us again." Red said suddenly which almost startled me.
"what do you mean again?" I asked in curiosity.
Red stayed silent after that as he rolled me towards the exit. I bit my tongue but I just had to ask, "Where did you do with Fallacy?"
"He down in the pack's cells in chains so he wouldn't try to get away and hurt anyone." Red said bluntly.
"The blood moon is over! You can let him go!" I shouted.
Red stopped the wheelchair, "Hey! You don't raise your voice to me!"
Almost everything went silent in the hospital once Red yelled. I even went silent and felt small drops of water splash on my arms and a little on my neck.
"Stop crying you wimp." Red told me as he pushed me out of the hospital, "We'll go see that blood sucker and let him go if he'll go back to his castle. He wasn't suppose to come here and you know that."
I looked down but couldn't stop my crying, "I know but he was only coming to check on me...if he wasn't there then I would've drowned."
I heard the breath get hitched in Red's throat, "I know.."
Was that guilt in his voice?
"Red? What's wrong?" I just had to ask.
"Mind your own bushiness you rat." Red snapped almost not wanting to tell me which clued me in on something was wrong, "Before I take you to Fallacy I have to do a few important things so you can spend time with Frisk until then."
"Frisk?"
"Hi Red!" A small girl spoke gleefully as she bounded her way over to us.
Red smiled, "Hey, how's your training been going?"
"It's been going great! Except I'm still not strong enough to go into the fighting rink like all the other wolves." She said with a small pouty lip.
Red reached out and ruffled her hair, "You'll make it. But I want you to meet Encre." He motioned his hand towards me as I wiped my eyes on my shoulders before she could notice my tears, "You two are going to spend some time together but not a lot of time. An hour tops."
Frisk nodded, "Okay Red! I'll see you again in an hour."
"You should be able to move soon Encre." Red finished before he left me in the wheelchair by Frisks small hut.
They both seem so close.....maybe I can ask Frisk what's wrong with Red.
"Bye Red!" Frisk yelled to Red who waved to him in goodbye.
I will definitely ask.
-I apologize for this lousy chapter but I promise it'll get better again. But I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and see you all in the next one! Byeeeeeeeee-
SNEAK PEEK INTO THE BOOK: CAUGHT BETWEEN TWO PACKS
"Get her! She's escaping!"
******
"Don't let her get away!"
******
"Leave me alone!"
******
I was gasping for breath as I tracked through the undergrowth of the forest. Feet were pounding the ground from behind and soon they were paws. I finally escape the cage I was thrown in all those years ago, but this wasn't my first escape.
Howls erupted through the moonlit night as I threw away the weeds and branches that threatened to batter my already bruised and cut up face.
My lungs began to cramp up but I forced my muscles to keep going, my lungs to keep taking in air no matter how much it burned.
I hadn't eaten for a few days and lacked the needed water only because I had done wrong to the person who had taken me so long ago and still tried to keep me captive within his pack of vermin. The pack who I thought were true monsters.
My bare feet crunched the leaves and were stabbed, scraped, and poked by the thorns and burrs that strewed along the ground. I had only to thank the moon to grant me the light I so much needed to complete my plan to escape.
But now I needed to outrun the wolves.
I came acrossed a cliff that caused me to skid to a stop and my eyes widened at the thought of throwing myself off of it.....but that seemed like a possibility that I might take.
I faced the cliff with newfound confidence. I was not frightened if I plummeted to my death off this rocky ridge.
"Stop!"
The man who kept me trapped stepped forwards from the wolves that now surrounded me at all sides, except the edge of the cliff.
"Come back with me to the pack right now and you might not get punished too severely." His voice boomed with the edge of disgust and too much confidence.
I didn't look behind me. I kept my eyes to the depth of nothingness that seemed to look like it wanted me to jump. And I was going to. I began walking closer and closer to the edge until I could hear the crashing of the water from below.
I actually might survive this.
I took another step forwards until my feet were on the edge and if I leaned forwards I would surely fall into the dark abyss of water that greeted me below.
"Don't you dare jump!" He yelled.
I didn't listen, I ignored him. I leaned myself forwards till the cold specks of water touched my face and this time I actually smiled.
His feet stomped behind me as he tried to walked towards me but instead I did what he told me not to do.
I fell.
So far I have 8 chapters done ^-^ I'll start to publish this book once I have 20 chapters finished.
