Encre's P.O.V

My eyes fluttered open as I outstretched my arms. I remember going to sleep chilled and wet, but now I'm dry. Why is that? I sat up and looked around me to notice that this was an unfamiliar room. Who's room is this? When was I moved? I held the blanket close against me and spotted someone laying beside me asleep. My face immediately heated into one of my rainbow blushes when I saw Fallacy asleep beside me. This must be his room!

I was completely speechless, taken aback. I already know I would yell at him for this. I told him that I would not like to sleep in his room last night! Why must he be stubborn? Does he not listen? Of course not! He's the king and apparently that means he can do whatever he liked!

I was full of emotions and when I was about to slap him I stopped myself and looked at him. Actually looked at him. He seemed calm, peaceful in his slumber. His normal aggressive features now softened to a more friendly foe. I laid back down facing him. His cape looked warn and shredded, yet it seem to fit him just right. His superior clothing that showed him as a higher up on this castles hierarchy.

I couldn't help myself as I felt his cape. It felt clean and comfortable between my index finger and thumb. I allowed myself to calm down. I enjoyed seeing him asleep.

As I was scattered along my own thoughts I never saw Fallacy open one of his eyes and show a small smile, "Your thoughts of me are nice. An upgrade from last night."

I blushed even more and raised my hand to smack him, but he soon reached out catching my wrist in midair, "Now that's not very kind. I saw you in your room shivering from the nights cold, yet you raise your hand when I allowed you to sleep in the warmth of my bed."

I spoke in a calm, steady voice, " I raise my hand at you for your lack of respect. A gentlemen of your kind would take word on what I have to say but you don't listen. You are so stubborn!"

Fallacy chuckled at my comment, "Your so cute when you're mad."

I had to shut down my thoughts, but I didn't know how. I knew he was reading my thoughts. How could he not? I was an open book to him. Utterly defenseless besides my wits. He on the other hand was completely mindless. Foolish! I still don't understand why he had to seize me from the woods.

"I took you from the woods because if it was not for me you might as well had been an appetizer for the other creatures who lurk." Fallacy spoke, "Besides~ You might like it here." He cooed.

I shook my head, "I forbid myself to like it here. In the place where the captor lives I shall not."

"Where else do you have to go?" Fallacy questioned.

I immediately froze up. I have my brother, but for all I know is that he could be dead. The last I had seen him was when I was a little girl. Afterwards he had just....left one day...

Fallacy must have sensed my discomfort because his voice soften to a more gentle tone, "I apologize for asking about your personal life. It is none of my business to intrude like that."

I took in a long breath, "It's alright...I don't have anywhere else to go besides Asgore's kingdom. I was asked to create a painting that everyone would never forget....I have a brother but I...never mind."

Fallacy stiffened," The villages king had asked you of something? Had you talked to the Prince as well?"

I nodded, "The Prince is what told me to not go into the woods."

"But I found you in the woods." Fallacy countered.

I smiled, "Well it's not like someone can tell me not to go somewhere and expect me not to. I've never been in the woods and I thought I could find some inspiration to paint the painting the king had asked."

Fallacy smiled back, "You actually smiled."

He reached out to touch my cheek, but I stopped him with my hand, "Don't"

Fallacy seemed confused, "And why not? Is my hands dirty?"

Shaking my head I answered, "No it's not that."

"Then what is it?" He asked.

I sat up and got up out of the bed, "We just met. You can't do that to me. I can't go from hating you to...something else."

Fallacy got up with me and took me by the hand, "That's not a bad thing. Let me prove to you that it can work. Let me show you."

"No!" I got upset, "I can't! You don't understand. I can't get close to you when I know it won't work. You'll be gone and once again I will be left alone." I held the tears back.

"I would never leave you. Encre, it doesn't mean we have to rush. I can still pick on you and tease you. You can slash back at me with your words and your wits. I can take anything, but I want you to stay with me. It gets so boring here. Nobody has ever went into the woods except you. Let me learn from you. Let me see you as you saw me. Please, give me a chance."

I bit my tongue, "As I said....I can't" and I flitted out of the room quickly so I wouldn't see the look on Fallacy's face.

I already knew the look on his face.
