Le title: Stay

You have been dating the phantom man of the Rakuzan team for two years, it was a really great relationship, but all good things must come to an end

Today was a cloudy weekend you looked outside and sighed, you took your phone out and dialed someone's number

couple of seconds later they answered the call

'(f/n)? Why'd you call?' Hearing his voice made you feel happier a small smile formed on your lips

"Chihiro, can we meet up at the park today?" You asked he paused for a second and replied

'Are you nuts? It's going to rain soon' He huffs from the other side of the phone you laughed

"I know but it'll be quick, I just have something I need to tell you" You sadly muttered

'...okay, I'll be there in a few minutes' After you both hung up you went straight to the park ten minutes later Chihiro arrived and sat beside you on the bench

"The sky is sure getting dark huh" You sadly smiled as you looked up

"Seems like it's going to rain soon" He states

"Chihiro..." A drop of rain fell on his nose as he turned to look at you

"I'm breaking up with you" After saying that it started to rain gently Chihiro's usual blank gaze disappeared replaced by terrified wide eyes

"Why? Did I do something wrong?" He moves closer to you but you shook your head

"(f/n)! please tell me!" He desperately asks you and holds your arms his eyes widened you peeled his arms off you

"It's me, I just.. please understand I'm doing this for you" You smiled at him

"Have.. you even been eating right? You're.. so thin.. Is that why you've been wearing baggy clothing?" You just shook your head and stood up as did he

then you cupped his now wet cheeks from both the rain and his tears

"Chihiro Mayuzumi, I (f/n) (l/n) will love you always... But I'm doing this for you" You state as you gave him a long passionate kiss which he returned after you both pulled away he suddenly snapped

"Fine! Be that way! Leave! I don't care anymore!" Enraged, confused, he ran off leaving you standing alone in the pouring rain you remained in your spot crying

"It's for the best..."

The next day he didn't see you at school, then the whole week all of a sudden Akashi decides to approach him during basketball practice

"Do you even know what happened to (f/n)?" Akashi asks the grey haired male

"No. Why should I care" He coldly states

"She's dying. Chihiro." The ball he shot missed the basket as he turned to Akashi

Once Akashi told him where you were he ran there without second thought leaving practice, when he got to your room there you were, staring outside with dull (e/c) eyes that used to be bright deathly pale (s/c) with machines surrounding you, machines that tried to make you live longer

You turn your head and your eyes widened as you met his gaze he walks beside you and wrapped his arms around you

"Stupid why didn't you just tell me that" He buried his face in your shoulder as he cried

"Chihiro.." Your voice cracked "It was.. for the best.." You ran your hand through his soft grey hair

"Idiot. I told you I'll always be with you whatever happens"He hold you tighter but not tight enough to hurt you

"Shh, I know, I just didn't want to hurt you" You tried calming him down and when you did you both just talked there

"Chihiro, I love you" You said out of the blue he kissed your forehead and hugs you

"I love you too (f/n), you won't leave me, right?" He asks as he felt you nod you both stayed like that for a while until Chihiro noticed you got too quiet

"(f/n)?"

Silence

"(f/n)" He breaks the hug to see your eyes closed, his breath hitched as he checked for a pulse

None.

The nurses who walked by peeked at the now crying male but never came in since they all knew today was the last day

"Come back! You promised you will not leave!"

It was a chilly day, the grey haired male stood with a bouquet of (favorite flowers) in his hand as he sadly gazed upon your resting place he kneels down with one hand on it, the other setting down the flowers

He rests his forehead on the surface of it and mutters

"I love you.. I just wished you could've stayed.." unbeknownst to his a ghostly figure was hugging him from behind softly whispering to his ear

'I love you too, I just wish you'll know I've stayed..'
