I tried not to kill reader-chan..

You and Kuroko have been friends for a long time now, you both

study at Teiko. During the past two years you realized your

growing feelings for him. Recently he's becoming more distant

since he was practicing more often you rarely have time to hang 

out anymore

"Kuroko-kun.. can we eat lunch at the rooftop together today?

I have something to say.." You ask he smiled gently at you

"Of course (Y/N)-chan" he replies you both started to walk

to the rooftop

'Maybe.. Just maybe... I can finally confess to him..' You 

thought while thinking a few minutes more a hand was soon 

placed on your shoulder, you turned to face the owner to meet

Akashi's red eyes

"(Y/N), the math teacher asked me to bring you to his office

for a bit, is that fine, Tetsuya?" He looks over to Kuroko who

was standing beside you

"It's fine, Kuroko-kun go ahead on the rooftop I'll be there"

You smiled kindly at him as you turned and walked away with 

Akashi. Kuroko stared at your retreating form for a bit but 

heads off to the roof anyway

-15 minutes later-

'I hope he's still here' You ran up the stairs to the rooftop

as you were about to open the door you heard noises

"Momoi-san please get off me" Kuroko's monotone voice was heard

followed by an annoying whine

"But why? I love Tetsu-kuuunnnn~" Your heart dropped you knew

that Momoi loved Tetsuya, after all, you were always watching

them practice and got along with the other players, you don't

know what came over you that led you to open the dreaded door

But once you did you saw Kuroko on the ground with Momoi on

top of him their lips centimeters away from each other

You stared at them, Kuroko got Momoi off him and stood up 

he walked towards you but as he reached his hand out to touch

you, you flinched

You didn't even realize the tears that started running down 

your cheeks

"(Y/N)-san I-" He started

"K-Kuroko-kun, I'm sorry! I love you! I know you love Momoi

but I just wanted to confess" You laughed and wiped your tears

"I'm sorry Kuroko-kun, I'll be going now! Have fun!" You smiled

and waved at him as you ran downstairs

"(Y/N)-san please wait!!" Kuroko was running after you but then

Kise interfered 

"Kuroko-cchi I've been looking everywhere for you!~" The blonde

says 

"Ano, Kise-kun-" Kuroko's protests were cut off when Kise dragged

him away

'I'll just send (Y/N) a message later or just come over'

-with you-

You were crying as you ran home, when you reached your house

no one was there so you went straight to your room and just

stared at the cieling. Who knows how long you had been staring

at the cieling but you heard your mom come home with your

younger sister

You jumped out of bed and changed your clothes, you opened a

few notebooks and placed it on your desk with a textbook open

you grabbed a pen and pretended to be doing homework

"(Y/N)? Well you're home early" Your mom greets

"Yeah"

"Where's Tetsuya? Usually you're with him" She asks

"He's busy, mom"

"Oh I see, dinner will be done in a bit okay" Your mom shut your

door you sighed heavily 

when dinner was served the three of you sat and ate dinner while

constantly talking

"Your cousin won an award for her drawings! And her brother

got the first place in their school, why can't you be more

like them (Y/N)?" Your mom bluntly asks as she continued 

comparing you and your cousins and your younger sister

'why can't you be more obedient like (sister's name)' like that

You've had enough. 

"I'm going out for a walk." You stood up from your seat and 

started walking without any destination. Five minutes later 

you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket pulling it out you

saw a message sent from Tetsuya

Not in the mood to deal with him you ignored his message and 

continued your stroll while your phone constantly buzzing in

your pocket

You just can't think right right now. You mind was clouded with 

all kinds of thoughts

Momoi was better with Tetsuya, Your sister and your cousins were

far more useful than you are

Then there's you. You had nothing..

All of a sudden you heard this loud screeching of tires, you 

heard someone call you, your arm was grabbed and they pulled 

you to their chest 

"Are you insane (Y/N)?" You looked at the boy who was under you

"G-gomen Akashi-kun" You stood up and offered Akashi a hand

"What are you doing out here this late?" He raises a brow you

remained silent

"You confessed to Tetsuya didn't you" His words made your heart

ache 

"...yes"

"He didn't tell you he and Momoi were dating?" 

"..no"

"You're staying over my house." He says as he grabbed your hand

and started walking with you, you knowing your protests wouldn't

be acknowledged 

When you reached his mansion he let you borrow some of his 

clothes now here you were

Both on his bed

You on his lap crying, telling him everything while his hand was

brushing your soft hair as he replied with comforting words

The next day you went to Teiko with Akashi, you spent more time

with Akashi. Kuroko noticed this and thought you needed some 

space so he spent more time on basketball

Days to weeks Kuroko wasn't comfortable with seeing you with

Akashi all the time anymore, so he decided to approach you

"(Y/N)-san, would you like to go to Maji Burger together today?"

Kuroko smiled at her

"Ah! Kuroko-kun, I'm sorry but I'm going with Akashi somewhere"

you smiled at him

"Maybe some other time, 'kay?" she waves at him and runs to Akashi

who was waiting for her by the front doors of Teiko

"Hello my empress," Akashi grabbed your hand and kisses your 

forehead

"Shall we go?" He asks you smiled and nodded at him and exited

the school grounds hand in hand with you smiling and talking

to Akashi

Kuroko stood there. He watched Akashi hold your hand. He watched

him kiss your forehead. How you smiled and laughed at him. How

happy you were.

"..." His frown deepened as he felt his chest tighten 

"Those two are really perfect together huh" Kuroko looks at 

Aomine who was looking outside then he turned to look at

Tetsuya who had that certain emotion plastered on his face

"You realized your feelings too late, Tetsuya"
