Draylee slid into her lion, and took off as fast as she could, not caring if the others came or not.

DRAYLEE: "Shiro what's going on?"

SHIRO: "Something just entered the atmosphere. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but it's big, it's Galra, and it's coming right for us.

DRAYLEE: "On my way."

Draylee had already arrived at the scene, attacking the robot. As she dodged an attack, she looked into the yellow eye and she remembered. Then suddenly the orb hit her lion and rendered her powerless.

"Guys help!" She shouted over coms.

The beast whipped another energy orb, and just as it was about to hit her, she remembered what the Arusian had said and imagined a barrier around herself and Luz. The orb bounced off of a crackling pale amber surface above her. Suddenly exhausted, Draylee collapsed into her seat, her energy gone.

"Are you ok?"  Luz asked.

"Yep, just give me a dobosh, that energy barrier really drained me," she responded.

Suddenly, a blast hit the giant, knocking it off course.

KEITH: Draylee, you ok?"

DRAYLEE: "Yep, a-ok.

She took the controls and joined the fight with the other Palidans.

"Check this out! Battle-lion head-butt!" Hunk yelled over coms, head butting the machine.

Another orb hit Draylee's energy shield, and it broke apart.

HUNK: "Wow cool! Oh, um you ok Draylee?"

DRAYLEE: "Yep."

Draylee dodged another attack and shot a beam at beast.

LANCE: "So, what's the plan? Shoot at it with everything we've got? Take out its weapon? Call it names?"

DRAYLEE: "Ooh, I come up with the best names."

SHIRO: "If we want to take this monster down, there's only one way to do it. Form Voltron!"

Head, arms, legs, and tail all formed Voltron.

They battled, punches and lasers thrown everywhere. The robot suddenly whipped an orb at Voltron, and they stumbled back. Draylee balanced them out.

KEITH: "I thought Voltron was the most powerful weapon in the universe!"

DRAYLEE: Think aga- ahh! Hunk, Lance boosters NOW!

Voltron rocketed out off the ground, barely dodging an energy orb.

HUNK: "Good call! Thanks Draylee."

DRAYLEE: "Anytime."

As they were battling, She realized the deserted village was unprotected.

DRAYLEE: "Oh, no! The village! We have to protect those people!"

Draylee tried throwing an energy barrier over the village, but it flicked for a second, and faded out of existence.

Exhausted again, She groaned, her body threatening to pass out.

SHIRO: "Draylee!"

DRAYLEE: "I'm just fine."

They flew away from the village, leading the robot into the mountains. They battled and pushing through her exhaustion, Draylee took the controls the she, Lance, and Hunk turned on the boosters, rocketing out of the way of another energy orb.

LANCE: "I got it! I'm going to power-kick that orb thing!"

KEITH: "No! The last time you did a kick, we fell!"

LANCE: "Stop living in the past!"

Voltron started a power kick and missed the orb, crashing to the ground

DRAYLEE: "Lance!"

LANCE: "Sheesh, sorry."

SHIRO: "Pidge, fire lasers, now!"

PIDGE: "On it!"

Pidge opened the mouth of her lion to fire, only to summon the shield.

PIDGE: "Oops! Ah! Uh..., No! Lasers! Lasers!"

HUNK: "Every time we focus on that orb, we're blindsided by the monster, and every time we focus on the monster, the orb hits us!"

"Yeah, we see that Captain Obvious!" Draylee snapped over coms, starting to get a bit impatient.

LANCE: "Orb!"

The orb knocked them into a cliff.

DRAYLEE: "Quizinak!"

KEITH: "Shiro, we gotta move! Shiro, are you there? Shiro!"

SHIRO: "That sound... I recognize this monster from my time in Zarkon's prison. I know how to beat him!"

DRAYLEE: "Oh! You're right, it's Myzax!"

SHIRO: "Listen, there's a loud sound when the orb returns to the base of the weapon, and every third time, that orb needs to charge up. That's this monster's weakest point. That's when we strike."

HUNK: "Okay, so what do we do in the meantime?"

DRAYLEE: "Defense."

Pidge summoned the shield, buying them time to attack. An orb struck the shield.

DRAYLEE: "That's 1. 2 more to go!"

The orb hit 2 more times and Ignis came up, shooting a beam at Myzax:

DRAYLEE: "Boom! Take that you overgrown rust-bucket!"

LANCE: "Now that's a good one! I'm gonna that sometime later."

PIDGE: "It didn't work!"

LANCE: "So now what?"

SHIRO: "When I attacked him before, I had a sword."

HUNK: "Orb, ORB!"

Draylee threw up another energy barrier, but the orb broke through and struck Voltron. Panting heavily, the dash board spun before her eyes. Then a slot appeared in the dash board. 

"Draylee, put your Bayard into the slot,"  Luz purred.

KEITH: "Wait a second, guys! I think my Lion's telling me what to do."

DRAYLEE: "Mine to"

LANCE: "Well whatever it is, hurry up and do it! He's about to fire his third shot!"

Draylee stabbed the Bayard into the slot.

Then a diagram of Voltron came up on her screen, and it brandished a blue broad-sword like Keith's, bit it had a long amber handle like Draylee's. Boosters at full power, Voltron rocketed forwards, slicing Myzax on the way. They stood still as they landed and Myzax exploded.

PIDGE: "We did it!"

HUNK: "But how?"

DRAYLEE: "Teamwork. Thanks Luz."

"You to to Ignis," she added quickly.

They split up and flew to the castle. As Draylee got out of her lion and joined Keith, exhaustion smacked her in the head. Draylee fell to the ground, everything blurred together, and faded away.

KEITH POV

Keith ran over to the collapsed Altean.

"Draylee, wake up!" He cried, shaking her passed out form.

Allura walked up and put a hand on his shoulder

"Calm down, those energy barriers took a lot out of her," Allura said gently.

Nodding, Keith picked up the purple haired Altean bridle style and walked to her room. He set her gently in her bed, kissing her softly.

"Get well Draylee," he whispered.

Then he left the room.
