Chapter 01: Brady the Bad
A/n Quick other's note, Y/n stands for your name and L/n stands for last name.
Chapter 01: Brady the Bad
Y/n's POV
Brady pulled on my arm as he dragged me to the corner of the school hallway.
"What are we doing?" I whispered.
A grin danced on Brady's lips. "You'll see. It'll be fun."
I stayed close to him as Freddy appeared, taking Connie by the hand until they stopped. He looked around before clutching Connie's hand tighter.
"Connie," said Freddy, "I really need to talk to you..."
"What is it?" Connie asked. She tugged on a piece of her short blonde hair, like she always does when she gets nervous.
Freddy glanced at her and scratched his head. "I need to ask you something... Will you go to the spring dance with m-me?"
Connie's eyes widened.
Freddy grimaced. "It's okay if you don't want to, it's alright with me-"
"Freddy," Connie interrupted. "Freddy, the thing is, I really do want to go to the dance with you. It would be an honour." She smiled softly before hugging him.
Freddy's eyes widened with surprise, before slowly hugging her back.
Brady snickered. He grabbed me by the hand and pushed me into the janitor's closet. He slipped in after, and quietly closed the door behind him.
I waged a finger at him. "You sly dog..."
"Oh, I know," he replied. "Quite genius, isn't it?"
"You knew Freddy was going to ask her," I gasped. I pointed a finger at him. "Bad Brady."
He grinned. "Why, thank you for the compliment."
"You even tempted him," I said. "That is definitely the work of a devil."
"Y/n," Brady said before snaking his arm around my waist. "You could go on and on about how awesome I am, but that still won't change the fact that we're going to that dance, and no matter what, we will spy on those two while pretending to be some bystanders. Please, help me play the bystander act."
I tapped my chin. "I don't know, sounds stalker-ish to me."
"I'll give you all my candy after Halloween."
He caught me off guard.
I shook his hand. "It's a deal."
Brady winked. "Let's get to Math before Mrs. Hart gets all hulk on us."
---
"Finn, just because Mrs. Hart decided to torture you, doesn't mean that you have to torture us." I said this as we were waiting in line to get our food. Finn was holding back the whole line by trying to pick which Apple to take.
"Yo, Fish!" Yelled a tall senior. "What's the hold up!?"
"It's Finn, you asshole!" Finn yelled back.
I poked Finn in the shoulder. "Watch your language, buddy."
Finn rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
"Don't you "whatever" me!"
Finn grabbed a green apple and sat at our table. I sat beside him and looked at my terrible looking meatloaf. If there was money in it then it would be less gross. I grabbed an apple and bit into it, trying not to smell the rotten meatloaf. Why does there have to be a Meatloaf Thursday?
I poked the meat loaf with my fork before slowly putting it in my mouth. I groaned at the taste of rotten flesh and pushed the lunch tray away from me. One bite was enough.
Brady sat across from me but didn't complain like he usually did about the two-week old meatloaf. Instead, he casually took a bite out of it before gagging into a napkin.
I covered my eyes. "My innocent eyes!"
"My innocent tongue," Brady groaned. He ran his fingers through his lilac hair. Wait- his hair wasn't lilac yesterday.
"Brady," I said. "Why is your hair... purple?"
He looked up at me and smiled. "Why-do you like it?"
"It's just... Not like you," I said.
He frowned. "Well, I thought it was pretty cool."
Connie ran to our table and began to devour her pizza.
I chuckled. "Connie, you've been eating pizza ever since Matt called you fat."
She shrugged. "He wants fat, he'll get fat. I'm just proving that I'm proud of who I am and that nothing can change me. Not even some dude who's dad is a industrial worker and makes a ton of cash. Anyways, back to my pizza."
"That speech deserves a Nobel Prize," I said.
Connie chuckled as she took another bite.
"So Y/n, what did you do over the weekend?" Freddy asked, trying to start a conversation.
"I mostly hung out with Derek," I replied.
Brady dropped his hamburger. "Who the hell is Derek!?" He growled.
"He's my cousin, if you must know."
"Oh." Brady quickly picked up his hamburger again and continued to eat.
"The guy who threw a water balloon at my face and filmed it?" asked Finn.
I nodded.
"That guy was awesome!" Finn exclaimed. "Remember that party we went to and we got drunk out of our minds? God, that was the best day of my life."
I giggled. "Remember that you puked on a girl that you were trying to flirt with? Ya, I posted the video on Instagram and it got 76 likes."
Finn laughed as he had one last bite of his Apple.
Just then, Madeline came strolling by with her friends Candice, Ben, and Frank. For some reason, people always call Madeline Mangle. But, I don't know why. Maybe it's because she always wears a pink glove and a white glove on her left and right hands.
Finn stood up. He stood in front of Madeline and stroked his fingers through her hair. "Will I be seeing you at the spring dance, my beauty?"
Madeline's face went a light pink. "It depends if I don't go to Florida this weekend." She covered her cheeks that were beginning to turn crimson.
Finn chuckled. "I'll pick you up at eight."
Madeline hid herself behind Candice before walking to their table. Since Madeline was short compared to Candice and the others, they all looked like they were trying to find the nearest middle school.
Finn had a smile so large, that you would have his taken him for a clown. He sat back next to me. "I love toying with her."
"That's why we call them the toys," I mumbled to myself.
"So Brady," I said. "Could you explain your new... attitude?"
Brady smiled. "I was hoping you would ask me that. Finn gave me a few tips on how to be a little bit cooler. He said that I should try a new hairstyle, so he took me to the hair stylist's and he said that I wanted some purple hair. I was a little nervous at first, but the colour was so vibrant and amazing, that I grew to like it. Then he said that I had to stop being so shy, so I did my first crime of vandalism. But don't worry, I only did it in the school bathroom. And then Freddy told me that he was going to ask Connie to the spring dance, so I took you with me to watch how Connie would react. I was like a jumping bean when they were officially going together. When you started to say how bad I was in the janitor's closet, I couldn't help but edge you on."
"I loved it when you were shy," I pouted. "I always knew exactly how to make you flustered."
Brady's jaw dropped but he covered it up with a smile. "Well, that stuff doesn't work on me anymore."
"We'll see," I muttered.
Brady's POV
I paused when I heard Y/n say that. What did she mean by we'll see?
Grant walked by and sat next to me. Grant is Freddy's younger brother, and we always make fun of him because he's short for his age. He's even shorter than Y/n, and I have to say that she's pretty short. In a cute way, I guess. Wait, did I just say she's cute? What's wrong with me? I've never felt this way before.
Grant's eyes trailed down to my pants and smirked. "Your fly is down."
"What!?" I pulled my zipper back up. Y/n giggled as my face went red. I quickly covered my cheeks so she wouldn't notice. Unfortunately, she noticed it right away.
"I thought you said that stuff didn't work on you anymore," she giggled.
Connie joined in.
Freddy looked at Grant and they exchanged smirks. Man, I couldn't believe how much they looked alike. The only differences were Grant's shaggy golden brown hair and Freddy's brown hair, plus Grant's coal black eyes. Sometimes we call him G Freddy, but he doesn't really seem to mind. Y/n always calls him Goldie, and he seems to enjoy the nickname. Wait, I just thought of something. What if the little guy is trying to get Y/n to like him?
Grant shifted in his seat. "Hey Y/n, can I ask you something?"
Y/n looked up and nodded.
"Will you go to the spring dance with me? There's this one girl who I like that I want to make jealous. Could you help me with that?"
Y/n smiled. "I would love to make someone so jelly, that they can't feel their legs. I'm in."
Grant fist pumped the air. "Yes!"
This wasn't going so good. That's when I came up with the brightest idea that I've ever came up with. "Isn't it girls ask the guys?"
Y/n nodded. "Thanks for the reminder Brady. So now I need to pick between two boys..."
"Wait," I said. "What do you mean by two boys?"
Y/n laughed. "Remember the "thing" we were going to do? Which we discussed in the janitor's closet? I've come up with the perfect plan. I'll go with Grant for the first half of the dance and then I can dance with you on the second half."
This did not make me feel better.
Connie noticed my weird attitude and shoved her pizza in my mouth. "The pizza helps," she said.
"Your the best therapist I've ever seen," Y/n added.
Connie wiggled her eyebrows. "Oh, I know."

A/n: In this door we have the first chapter! So obviously, we have discovered how much Bonnie/Brady likes you!
Yep, I know that it sucks but it's always hard to make a first chapter. Or is it just that I suck at this? Anyways, I need ideas. Would you like to wear something formal for this upcoming Spring dance? Or would you like a simple party dress? Vote for it in the comments, and don't worry! I won't be updating the spring dance right away, there's still two or three more chapters to go. So there's plenty of time to decide!
Later my peeps!
