son of a bitch
BONNIES first intact was to reach out for her knife, immediately pointing it out towards Hazel who held a gun up towards them pressed onto his chest. five came back with an eye roll pulling down Bonnie's hand taking the knife away and intertwining their fingers together.
"are you here to kill us?" five asked calmly sitting back down on his stool and nodding to Bonnie to sit back down. she didn't, she stayed standing up glaring at Hazel.
flashbacks of terrors coming back to her mind of that night went inside of her mind when Hazel locked eyes with her and send her a apologetic smile.
"oh. shit. sorry. old habits." Hazel chuckled nervously putting the gun into his back. "well, I can understand why both of you might feel that way, you know."
"well," five hummed bringing the margarita up to his mouth, "you attacked our house, tried to kill my family, kidnapped my brother and tortured Bonnie."
"well, there wasn't not much I can do about the past. don't forget I'm not the only killer in this room." Hazel looked past five over to Bonnie who's glare only harden. "you and her got your own blood history, pal. speaking of which, that job you did in colhoun, that shits legendary and you, the way you started to young-"
"I didn't do it for fun and jokes." Bonnie snapped remembering those times where men were always trying to get to her even despite that she was between the ages 11-14. she had to defend herself somehow since they always came back.
"right, sorry. anyways, I can't believe I'm actually sittin' here talkin' to you, after all-" the man was starting to practically fan girl over them, mostly five since he was in the commission.
"Hazel, why are you here?" five asked, cutting Hazel off to go on and on about him.
"well, I'm, you know-" before he got another word in Diego from behind him, knocked him out causing Bonnie to groan since she wanted to do something not him.
"Diego, stop!"
"why does he always get the fun in things?" Bonnie mumbled now sitting herself down back on the stool as Diego started to beat the hell out of Hazel who let himself without fighting back.
"you know, before you kill him, you might wanna hear what he had to say." five said giving up at the end as Diego didn't stop hitting him and started to talk to him while five watched in amusement and bonnie dropped her head down in the table not wanting to see Diego have "all the fun" as she says.
five gave Bonnie's hand a squeeze before letting go and went over to pull them apart by dropping a glass vase on Diego's head knocking him out. "i draw the line at biting."
Bonnie looked over her shoulder lazily and rolled her eyes and stood up from her stool heading over towards Diego. "Hazel, whatever you came here to say, I suggest you make it quick, before he comes round."
bonnie swatted away the glass pieces from his head and went over to the cabinet grabbing a broom and started to pile up the glass next to the wall, away from Diego.
"I left my partner, quit the commission, came to volunteer." Hazel said raising his voice going straight to the point now.
"for what?" five and bonnie asked at the same time giving him a confused look.
"to help stop the apocalypse." he declared lifting his hands up to swat away the pieces of glass on his shoulder. five chuckled while Bonnie shook her head with a scoff. "what on earth could be so funny and amusing for you right now?"
five opened his mouth going to answer when Bonnie shushed him making Hazel turn over to the girl who was leaning her hands on top of the broom and tilted her head to the side. "why do you wanna help us? why now, after everything you put this family through. what you put me through?"
Hazel cleaned his throat awkwardly shifting in his spot, "let's just say I have a vested interest in a doughnut shop." bonnie shrugged her shoulders not really answering her question since she didn't understand what Hazel said.
"well," five said grabbing his margarita, "I hate to break it to you pal, but you're a day late and a dollar short. the fact that you're here right now means, without a shadow of a doubt, that the apocalypse is over."
"really? how do you know?"
"the mark is dead. found him this morning. you are the last known unknown left in the equation." five muttered and Hazel chuckled happily a wide grin appearing on his face.
"shit. really?"
"No." bonnie deadpanned going back to piling up the pieces of glass and leaving them there and leaning the broom on the wall. making her way back over to five.
"mm-hmm. and if you're out, then hellrider ain't riding." five said putting his margarita down watching Bonnie sit down and lean her head against her arm watching as Hazel breathed deeply and let out a sigh of relief laughing a little.
he walked over to them and again out of habit bonnie stuck her knife towards Hazel who lifted his arms up in surrender going over to the island table and grabbing the blender where the margarita was inside and took a big glup out of it.
Hazel sat besides bonnie sighing deeply once again before asking, "so, now what?"
"you know, to be honest, I don't know." five shrugged his shoulders, "I've been chasing this thing for so long, I-I never really thought about the day after. but I do know one thing, im going to try and live it my fullest." bonnie didn't notice five glanced down at bonnie who was passed out in her own arms on the table but Hazel did.
"what about you?" five asked Hazel who smiled gently at him facing forward.
"im done with all this madness. time to start over and like how you said, live my life at its fullest." hazel said talking about his own love of his life, the women to took his heart and changed his perspective it everything and made him realize who he truly is.
"easier said than done."
"yeah, well, I mean, think about it like this." Hazel sighed deeply noticing the tone of doubt in the younger boys voice, "if you never time traveled, you never got caught up with the Handler, what would have happen?"
five, as he did in the moment prior, glanced down at the girl who was passed out and then over at Diego who was also passed down on the floor. "I guess I would have grown up to be an emotionally stunted man-child like everybody else around here."
"and?" hazel asked softly.
"I-I wouldn't have the her." the boys face soften completely as the simple thought of meeting bonnie all over again went through his mind. the way he felt when he first saw her, the wave of joy rushing in his system as he realized that the girl he has been thinking about during all of his life was right there, easy to find.
Hazel chuckled softly, "well, there you go. now you can grow up, together."
five chuckled softly at the that thought now. together. growing up with Bonnie, leaning about life with bonnie, doing things with the girl he never thought he would be doing.
just them.

BONNIE expected the rest of the day to go by just as peaceful as it has been ever since hazel left, but apparently that is too much to ask.
luther decided to play hero again, much to anyways wishes. bonnie was running down the empty corridor, running as fast as she can noticing that at the end of the tunnel were three body figures standing.
she pushed past luther, slapping him on the arm in the process and with what she saw the whole starting to get along with luther went down the drain. vanya was locked up in some kind of isolation room, tears running down her eyes, her fist colliding with the soundproof door.
bonnie put her hand over the glass door and vanya said something but bonnie shook her head sadly not knowing what she was saying. vanyas breath started to pick up glancing behind her shoulder over towards luther, Diego and Klaus.
"you locked up our sister because you think she has powers." Diego snapped stepping forward to grab Bonnie who shrugged his hand away staying close to the glass door, keeping her hand on it and vanya kept it ontop sobbing loudly continuing to scream and plead for help.
"No, I know she does. pogo told me. he's always know, as so dad."
"pathetic." bonnie spat at luther who didn't give her a single glare not a single stare and continued to stare at vanya who banged her fist on the glass door.
"why would they hide this from us? i mean, am i the only one that didn't know this place existed? bon how did you find us?" Diego asked bonnie who glanced up at him shrugging her shoulders.
"I came here once with Allison." she simply stated not giving any other explanations.
"he hid so much from us."
"he hid it because he was afraid," luther said stepping forward before his voice turned into a disgust one, "of her."
"what did he do, steal his cookie?" Bonnie teased but her face stayed the same cold stone face over to luther who rolled his eyes.
"luther you're being ridiculous." Klaus hissed.
"is it? dads lied about everything else, why is this so far-fetched?" luther asked and the three brothers all started to think deeply on vanya.
"if you're right, then maybe she's the one who killed peabody."
"and cut Allison's throat."
"whoa, no. let's- I ju- sorry, just, let's go back, all right? this is vanya we're talking about. our sister. the one who always cried when we stepped on ants as kids. the first one to ever accept bonnie when Diego first introduced her to us!" Klaus remarked throwing his arms up in the air as his whole entire mood dropped down and his eyes started to whelm, overwhelmed with the fact that his sister was on the other side of a soundproof glass without no one taking her out.
"yeah, I know. i know it's difficult to accept-"
"it's not difficult to accept, it's impossible to accept!" Klaus shouted now fed up with luther.
"No, he's right." diego said calming down Klaus, "look, we can't keep her locked up without proof."
"wh-what more proof do you need?" asked the half chimpanzee.
"why don't we just open the door and ask her?!" klaus suggested going forward to open the door and Bonnie moved to the side so that she could open but it luther grabbed roughly onto Klaus and Bonnie bringing them back.
"no. she's not goin' anywhere." Bonnie smacked his hand away from her glaring at him stepping back over towards Klaus who put a hand on her shoulder for comfort.
"No, even if you're right, she needs our help, and we can't do that if she's locked in a cage." diego snapped.
"yeah, and for all we know, she might be struggling with this new power. i mean, it must be scary. terrifying, really, to discover that you can do something that you never thought you could do."
"she is feeling those things." Bonnie muttered her head tilted up to glare at luther and the room went quiet, the three men looking down at the moore girl. "I feel those things. i didnt even know i had powers until five took me to get killed and then boom I had the powers. no one and I mean no one was there for me besides five who talked me through it. I had to discover them all on my own! vanya needs help! she doesn't need to be locked up in an isolation room! she needs her family to help her go through this!"
by this point tears were already spilling down her eyes, her anger only growing for luther.
"Bonnie I-" diego opened his mouth but Bonnie shook her head shrugging her shoulders.
"it's alright because I at least had that one person to help me. and guess what, I had to learn from peabody that i was an experiment by my own parents. so, if your plan is to keep a very new born overwhelmed with powers vanya, it's your own funeral because all she's feeling right now is going to pile up and explode right in front of you." with her last words she glanced over towards vanya sending her a soft gentle smile before leaving despite the calls from diego and klaus.
she ran out of the basement wiping her eyes on the way over to fives room letting out chocked sobs. she could only imagine how vanya could feel and only the thought of that is the most heartbreaking thing she could ever think about.
alone, in a low light atmosphere wanting nothing more than to talk it out with people you want to help you. god, Bonnie knew that luther wouldn't come to his senses he never was. not even for his own sister that had only wanted people to forgive her and actually treat her like a sister.
and she was right about vanya.
because the next two hours of vanya staying in that place, the house shakes like as if was an earthquake and no other than vanya hargreeves was the cause.
