chapter forty-nine, episode two

anxiety, tossing turning in your sleep,
even if you run away,
you still see them in your dreams.
              TALK TO ME , cavetown.

               "LILA?!" Sebastian and Bonnie shouted at the same time but luckily lila put a hand over their mouth moving then into an empty hallway — far away from the public.

"bonnie you're glowing!" lila gasped pinching Bonnie's cheeks together and moving them side to the side. She then turned her head over to sebastian and raised an eyebrows at him, "you look like a dog that received a new chew toy."

Sebastian's and Bonnie's face got fully red their eyes widen at lila who held a confused face looking between them. "what? what did i say? did I lie?"

"no but ho—"

"where's mom?" Sebastian cut Bonnie off making her bring her hand up and smack him at the back of his head. "ow."

"she's giving your daddy a kid." Lila said boredly, leaning against the wall and crossing her arms over her chest.

"what?!"

"i have a baby brother?!" Bonnie gasped excitedly while sebastian held a mad face glaring at lila who nodded her head looking down at her feet.

"she needs to stop having kids." Lila grumbled kicking the floor with her feet before sighing deeply looking back up at them. "well, that's all, i guess."

Lila started walking away from Bonnie and Sebastian — speed walking more like it.

"wait, wait, wait, wait!" Sebastian shouted running up to lila who turned around crossing her arms over her chest. "can you tell her that we miss her?"

bonnie noticed the way that Lila's face completely soften as a gentle smile made its way to her lips. "yeah whatever."

lila entered the elevator waving at Bonnie and Sebastian, "behave and use protection!"

"oh god."

BONNIES' mind couldn't stop racing.

she knew what was going on but somehow her mind couldn't seem to comprehend it all. she couldn't capture the fact that she is now back in 2019 but this time with a different academy, the fact that she has a new brother that she hasn't even meet yet, the fact that she hasn't had any flashbacks anymore.

but the fear always stayed and her mind always knew.

the fear that there this is just temporarily, that something worse is going to come and this is only just a break for them before the big deal deal.

bonnie sighed deeply pressing her head against five chest who had his arms wrapped around her shoulder tightly as he was sleeping while Bonnie kept on overthinking.

bonnie moore couldn't help but feel anxious about everything so slowly she stood up from the bed glancing back over at five who groaned turning his body and bonnie quickly grabbed the pillow giving it to five so that he could hug that instead.

bonnie made sure to close the door softly.

"bonnie I need your help." the red hair girl felt her heart drop completely until her eyes landed on vanya who was standing in front of her with scissors and a comb.

Bonnie eyes widen as vanya dragged her inside of her room where she shared with Allison. Bonnie didn't know what to do until vanya started telling her everything.

vanya told her how she doesn't feel like herself anymore that the image she puts up isn't her anymore. vanya knows exactly who she is and it's about time she acts towards it. vanya told her exactly how she wanted her hair.

and so bonnie moore went into work.

"you look extremely handsome," Bonnie smirked as she finished up some touches on the hair. once Bonnie was done she backed away and immediately tears whelmed up inside of Bonnie's ocean eyes. Bonnie tilted her head to the side and brought a mirror up.

"wow, bonnie." this new extremely handsome person stood up and brought Bonnie into a hug. "thank you so much." bonnie smiled putting her things down and hugging back with just as much force.

"your so welcome, viktor." bonnie said to him. at this exact moment viktor eyes widen, his breath racing and tears rolling down his cheek in a rapid pace. bonnie giggled as viktor launched himself again at bonnie who twirled them around.

it was the start of something new and Bonnie was able to wrap her head around this moment. because this moment is something that she will always have because she had a choice, because she wasn't forced to do something, because she was there and not just there by accident.

this is Viktor Hargreeves moment and Bonnie is happy that she was able to be part of his moment.

"WHERES luther?" it was later that day, more like it was morning. Viktor and Bonnie went to the lobby where they found Diego, Klaus, Five, and Bonnies new brother.

"who cares? probably out for a — a rub." Diego's words cut short as he turned around to look at Viktor and then his eyes widen at Bonnie. she might or might have not cut herself bangs and cut her hair to a medium length in layers. Viktor should have never given her scissors or a mirror.

"mm! love the haircut and bon bon," Klaus gasped putting a hand over his mouth, "stunning."

Viktor smiled softly getting flustered while Bonnie glanced over at five who spit is drink out coughing loudly. earning a weird stare from Diego who patted his hand on his back.

"so I, uh, talked to Marcus last night." Viktor said after five stopped coughing and glanced back up at them his eyes landed on Bonnie who gave him a smirk and a wink.

"wait, what? you talked with the enemy? by yourself?" asked Diego just as surprised as the others.

"somebody had to do something."

"who elected you, vanya?"

Viktors head tilted high as he anxiously glanced at Bonnie who nodded her head at him sending him an encouraging smile.

"it's, uh, Viktor."

"who's Viktor?" Diego asked making Bonnie facepalm herself. the room went silent as they all started at Viktor who brought up the courage to say it.

"I am. it's who I've always been." Viktor said anxiously glancing at his family who kept quiet without saying anything other than stare at him. Bonnie then glared at the three brothers waiting for them to say something. "uh, is that an issue for anyone?"

Klaus chuckled while Diego shook his head turning it away.

"nah, im good with it."

"yeah, me too. cool."

"truly happy for you, Viktor." As five said that Bonnie let out a giddy giggle throwing herself on Viktor and wrapping her arms around him and dropping her head to his shoulder. but of course five had something else to say, "but last time I checked, you don't speak for this family."

"forget me sleeping with you tonight, hargreeves." Bonnie scoffed pulling herself away from Viktor and then sitting down on the chair besides five.

"okay, well, it's fine, okay? Marcus totally gets it." Viktor assured them, "he doesn't want a war any more than we do."

"what are you talking about? he tried to homicide us!" Diego said offensively looking at Viktor who sighed deeply.

"So did lila and penelope, and you had a kid with penelope." Klaus said pointing over to stan who was eating on the table.

"that's not the point!"

"listen we made a deal. he's gonna give back fives briefcase, then we're gonna get out of the timeline. we're gonna meet later today for the, uh, the handover." As Viktor said that Klaus let out a breath of relief, Bonnie smiled at them, five seemed surprised while Diego shook his head.

"that's a rookie move. dude is playing you." Said Diego.

"Oh, really?" Sassed Viktor leaning on the table and glancing over at diego.

"yeah, but maybe we can use this and we turn it back on them, and we wipe them the hell out." Diego said making Viktor groan throwing his head back.

"Dad no." Bonnie declined shaking her head and putting her lips in a tight line.

"Diego, stop, please and you're not gonna, like, do anything today."

"Expect bond with you spawn and get your two kids to get along." Klaus said.

"Alleged spawn and bonnie likes everyone." Diego said making bonnie nod her head. The red hair girl glanced back over at stan who was eating chicken making a disgust face she looked back over at diego who gave her a serious look and she quickly smiled.

"I will get the briefcase, and then we will all go back and fix the timeline." Viktor added on going back to the main topic.

"Hey, we're not going anywhere!" Five said shaking all of their ideas away, "this is a perfectly acceptable timeline."

"yeah, well just because you and bonnie are in a good place here and have advanced in your relationship doesn't mean anything. Why don't you go tell that to Allison, who's upstairs grieving her daughter, who doesn't even exist here!" Viktor snapped at five causing Bonnie and his eyes to widen at his statement.

"too much information, Vik." Bonnie whispered to him.

"Not to mention, we've been replaced by a bunch of blobs and cubes and birds and goths and shit! Also why is everyone talking about your guys relationship?!" Diego said eyeing the couple.

"News flash, geniuses! It's not about us!"

"they did the devil tango." Klaus giggled mischievously taking a sip of his alcohol drink.

"what?!" Diego's eyes widen but bonnie slide off her seat and quickly went over to stan starting a conversation with him while five ignored him.

"it doesn't matter what me and bonnie did. if you hadn't noticed, there's no doomsday. there's no apocalypse. the sun is shining. birds are doing whatever the hell birds do. that's all that matters. were done messing with time." Five said sighing deeply and glancing over at bonnie smiling softly once he noticed that the two were actually bonding, he looked back towards his family lifting up his drink, "and I'm officially retired."
