chapter thirty-six, episode five
the doomsday plan.

               "ALL right. first off, i wanna say im sorry." five stated off standing up in front of his siblings and his girlfriend who were sitting in front of him.

"i know i really screwed the pooch on this whole going-back-in-time-and-getting-stuck thing. but the real kick in the pants here is we brought the end of the world back here with us." five said putting his lips in a tight line and looking at everyone and then his eyes landed on bonnie who smiled at him and held two thumbs up at him. reassuring him that he's doing good.

"oh god, again." klaus whined from the background glancing at his family who all sunk into their seats and looking away from Klaus who gasped. "all of you knew? why am i always the last one to find out about the end of the — oh my gosh — my cult is gonna be so pissed. five! i told them we had until 2019."

"you have a cult?" bonnie asked excitedly to klaus who grinned at her nodding his head.

"i told them about you as well, they think your a goddess."

"cool." bonnie breathed out nodding her head and then looking back at five who held a bored face.

"we have until Monday. we have six days."

"is it vanya." klaus deadpanned.

"klaus." allison exclaimed to Klaus who shrugged his shoulders taking a sip of his drink.

"what? it's usually vanya."

Bonnie looked over at vanya who seemed let down and even though bonnie herself wasn't feeling too good mentally she didn't want others to feel the same way. bonnie stood up from her seat and walked over to vanya and sat next to her sending her a comfort smile.

"do you have any leads, five?" said allison after glaring at Klaus who continued to shrug his shoulders only stating his only true fact.

"yeah, we have one." five said grabbing the folder that Diego handed him and then gave it to Allison who opened it up and saw the picture inside of it.

"holy shit, is that dad?"

"yeah."

bonnie stood up from the couch so that vanya could look as well at the folder that held the picture of reginald. "that's him?"

"standing on the grassy knoll." Diego confirmed to them.

bonnie was pulled by five who wrapped his arm around her waist and she leaned herself back to his chest. she sighed deeply as some part of her relaxed completely. "Diego, Bonnie and I, with the help of penelope and her son have been trying to talk to dad about what exactly this means. so far, we've got nothing."

"not nothing." diego muttered turning his head up to look at the two young couple and then at his siblings on the couch, "he's planning to kill Kennedy."

"maybe. but we don't know who or what sets doomsday in motion." five pointed out, "could be Kennedy, could be something entirely independent."

"theres only something we do know that changed the timeline." bonnie added.

"we have to make it right again." five finished what Bonnie said.

"yeah, but how, if we don't know what's broken?" Allison asked.

"oh come on. do the math." Diego scoffed shaking his head, "we know dads having shady-ass meetings with some shady-ass people. we know he's on the grassy knoll in three days to kill the president. so I think we all know what we have to do."

Diego stood up from his seat and went to stand next to five who nodded his head.

"find dad." said five.

"kill dad." deadpanned Diego.

"well, that's nice." Bonnie said sarcastically scooting herself down on his chest and drop her head to his. five and Diego glared at each other while the other siblings scoffed or laughed at them.

"okay so none of us are supposed to be here, right?" vanya asked five who nodded his head, "I mean, what if it's us? has anyone here done anything to screw up the timeline?"

everyone kept quiet an awkward silence filling the atmosphere of the room. bonnie raised an eyebrow at everyone knowing damn well that everyone has done at least one thing to mess with the time line even herself.

and then Luther spoke up. "Diego's been stalking Lee Harvey Oswald."

"and you're working for Jack Ruby!" Diego snapped back pointing luther who wasn't fazed by him.

"Allison has been very involved in loca politics."

"okay, you started a cult." Klaus hissed at allison who threw out his dirty little secret that mostly everyone knew about.

"I'm - im just a - a nanny on a farm. i dont have anything to do with all of that." vanya defended herself.

"well, maybe you do, we just don't know it yet."

"I have a new family who is now involved in all of this." bonnie chimed in raising her hand up in a air so that they all looked at her. "it's not as cool as starting a cult though."

"I love you!" klaus reached his hand to bonnie who giggled weakly and reached her hand out as well to Klaus.

Diego then whistled sharply earning all of their attention back to them. "listen to yourself, everything in our new lives is connected to Kennedy. that can't be a coincidence. luther works for Ruby, Allison is protecting the government, dad is on the grassy knoll, Klaus is doing something weird and pervy but probably related, bonnie was welcome with open arms by penelope who works in close business with kennedy. see clearly, we were all sent back here for one special reason: saving John Fitzgerald Kennedy."

clearly diego thought that everyone would praise and tell him that he was right. expect it was the complete opposite of that, everyone started to argue back with Diego.

their voice overlapping with each other stressing bonnie out but the siblings didn't stop arguing not for one second. bonnie brought her hands up to her ears and then tilted her head up to five who was the only one who wasn't arguing but instead deep into his own thoughts.

"five." bonnie whispering dropping her hands down and placing them on top of his arm who squeezed her waist snapping him out of his own thoughts and then glare over at his siblings.

"guys we all die. i was there. i saw it and i wanna forget it, but i can't." five trailed off and bonnie started rubbing her thumb against his arm as she felt him start to shake his leg while he told his family this. "I saw Russian nukes vaporize the world with all of you in it, even penelope. obviously i didn't know who she was at the time but i do now."

Diego's head perked up at frowned his eyebrows and then his eyes landing on bonnie who's eyes were glued onto the floor. "now a war is happening and that was never going to happen in the first time until we brought it here and Hazel gave his life to save us, so you may need to shut up and just listen to me. i dont know if the things we've experienced here are all connected. i don't know if there's a reason for everything. but dad will. we need to talk to him before everyone and everything we know is dead."

"okay, I'm out." luther said after what five just expressed to them sighing deeply and standing up from the chair.

"did you even hear me, Luther?" snarled give up to luther who now stood in front of him.

"yeah. yeah, i did. i heard a 16-year-old man with the mindset of a 58-year-old man who still wants his daddy to come and fix everything." luther chuckled sending him a sarcastic smile and added, "well, you can count me out. it's time we all grew the hell up."

"luther!"

"luther come back."

"where you going?"

"save it, Diego." luther snapped back at Diego who was now behind him trying to get him to stay while walking him out.

five glanced down at bonnie who tilted her head up at him. he gently pushed her down to the sofa chair where Diego was previously sitting at and then teleported over towards luther who as currently down the stairs.

bonnie then heard a loud thud of the ground causing her to quickly stand up and look over the railing. she glared over at luther and diego who continued on walking.

"bon bon, come come sit down with me." Klaus said drowsily waving his arm at bonnie who felt weird not being with five for the first time since he found her again. bonnie lazily walked over to them and sat herself back down on the couch. "you know, i could really go for some tacos right now. Allison? tacos?"

"shouldnt we wait?" Allison asked looking at her brother unsure and then over to Bonnie who shrugged her shoulders.

"you know those guys. i mean, it could take forever for them to bro it out. vanya, tacos?" Klaus then asked vanya who sat there confused.

"is there any way that tacos are gonna cause the end of the world?" vanya asked half joking but also half considering the fact that tacos could cause the end of the world.

"I mean, theres only one way to find out, right?" Klaus asked and bonnie watched as Allison stood up from the couch and clutched her purse to her side.

"bon bon, let's go!" Klaus said excitedly bringing bonnie up to her feet and then gasped loudly scaring them all. "penelope, honey, you wanna join us to get some tacos?!"

everyone turned over to penelope who walked out of the room for the first time in a while now bring more calm since sebastian was able to breath on his own and way now just sleeping. "I don't kno—"

"come on, pen. ill love to get the know who is the women who made my brother fall in love for the first time." allison giggled sticking her hand out towards the mother who was still unsure if she could leave her son unattended. allison noticed this and then added on, "diego will take care of sebastian, let's go get some tacos and then we'll come back to the saving the world bullshit plan." 

"come on, pen!" klaus laughed shaking Bonnie's shoulders and squeezing her into a hug. the red hair girl laughed along with Klaus throwing her arms around the older men who was like that one uncle who the parents would always say to never get close with, but bonnie loved him.

"okay." penelope trailed off causing Allison to shriek and pull the girl from her hand and then reached out to vanya who also wrapped her hand around Allison.

the three older women in the front giggling with each other while Klaus and bonnie joked with their own sense of humor laughing out loud as well. bonnie knew that wherever five was right now she knew that he was okay, it's five she was thinking about. he's probably not going to come back for her since she's going to be out getting tacos while they're in a crisis but five always has a plan.

BONNIE moore now knows how it feels to be tipsy. other people wouldn't let her drink alcohol beverages but she's with Allison, klaus, vanya and penelope who are equally as tipsy as her so they don't mind, penelope did but then let it go knowing that bonnie is responsible. she shouldn't have been thinking like that.

"the nerve of that man!" allison said angrily looking down at Klaus. the group were currently in Allison's hair salon talking about her husband. "I mean, one thing goes wrong, and he's on a warpath. I mean, doesn't know who I am? no, no. no, ray. you know exactly who I am. you can't handle it."

"pew pew." vanya and bonnie mimicked gun shot sounds as they used one of Allison's hair tools.

"honey, he's a bitch." penelope breathed out grabbing the cigarette from Klaus fingers and then taking a big drag from it.

"ugh, but I'm protecting him!" allison groaned loudly throwing her head back and then looking at Klaus and penelope through the window.

"of what?" asked Klaus.

"the end of the work, for one."

"why are gun shot noises pew pew?" bonnie asked dropping the hair tool down on the desk and looking over at vanya who also put down her tool and shrugged her shoulders at bonnie and then looked up at allison.

"is the world really gonna end in six days?"

"well, it did last time, and we did everything five could think of it stop it." allison said running the comb through Klaus hair but Klaus wasn't letting himself making Allison then go to penelope who melted under her touch.

"hey, wouldn't it be weird if five grew up all hot?" Klaus asked out of no where looking over at bonnie who shrugged her shoulders.

"he's already good looking." bonnie said grinning at them through the mirror once she saw the look on their faces.

"ew!"

"ugh, bonnie!"

"i didnt wanna know that."

"come on at least bon bon has someone and allison shut up miss "luther was my lover." and you penelope miss "diego is the love of my life and sex partner." Klaus started making kissing noises and then loud moans coming out of his mouth making vanya cover Bonnie's ears.

"we have never even kissed." allison deadpanned.

"it was one time!" penelope defended herself looking over at Klaus who wasn't surprised while the rest of the women gasped loudly and looked at penelope.

"that's ew, I didn't want to know my parents were having sex." bonnie gagged loudly pressing onto vanyas hand trying to sound out their voices.

"allison you guys were making little sick moon-dog eyes at each other all through puberty and breakfast and all that." Klaus trailed off.

vanya turned around the chair of both bonnie and hers and looked at klaus, "aren't we all bothers and sisters, or? I mean besides bonnie and penelope."

Klaus snorted, Allison groan and sunk to her seat, penelope grabbed Allison's curler and started to curl her own hair while bonnie still kept vanyas hand pressed onto her ear.

"well — technically, it —"

"technically? if you have to word — use the world technically you're already in trouble." Klaus pointed out making penelope nod her head and Klaus giggled looking over at vanya.

"okay, can - can we focus? i mean, clearly we're not saving the world tonight, but maybe, maybe, we could at least try and save my marriage." allison insisted throwing her hands up in the air and passing the bottle to penelope who took a big gulp out of it.

"No!" Klaus shouted, "no, because that's like — that's like asking a nun how to hump someone's leg."

"oh honey." penelope snorted handing back the bottle to Allison who was confused to where this conversation was heading.

"la la la la la!"

"I mean, who in this room knows shit about relationships? this one?" He pointed to vanya, "in secret love with some farm Frau."

"her names sissy."

"I want to meet you, by the way." bonnie whispering to vanya who nodded her head happily and then looked back at Klaus who rolled his eyes.

"which is an improvement on her precious love interest, the serial killer."

"Oh my gosh! Mr. Peabody!" bonnie shrieked her mouth opening widely and looking over at allison who chuckled shaking her head at bonnie.

"what?"

"later."

"bonnie is literally living all of our love life dreams! i mean they have their problems but they're still together!" Klaus pointed at bonnie who sunk down to her seat now really missing her boyfriend and his touch. "I hate you, bonnie! stupid relationship."

"come on, they're cute." penelope giggled.

"yeah yeah. meanwhile, I'm carrying a torch for a soldier I haven't technically met yet, and Luther is in love with his sister." Klaus trailed off dropping his arms back down.

"okay, again, we are not biological."

"penelope is banging our brother and making him fall in love with her! they even might be the new bonnie and five." Klaus pointed out towards penelope who laughed shaking her head.

"yeah no."

"face it, the healthiest long-term relationship in this family is still bonnie and five." Klaus breathed out and everyone turned to Bonnie who now had her head dropped onto vanyas shoulders and vanya running her fingers through her red hair. "the only thing the Umbrella Academy knows about love — is how to screw it up."

"cheers." allison, vanya and penelope all said at the same time.

"how do you guys deal with this?" vanya asked still soothing the gloomy girl who was missing her boyfriend.

"what?"

"i mean, all of it. the time travel, seeing the dead, the end of the world." vanya trailed off.

"I'm an experiment." bonnie said out loud not thinking before she spoke causing all of their heads to turn over to Bonnie. "my parents used me as an experiment, that's why i have powers. i dont remember anything because they would inject me with some liquid to make forget it all."

the salon then went into a deep conversation about the end of the world in six days and what they can do in six days. which lead to them saying how they should just tell their lovers how they feel with no regrets.

somehow they were all now dancing in the middle of the salon to one of Allison's favorite songs. the family including penelope and bonnie who were now considered as one of the family all danced around the salon and just let the moment sink into them before the end of the world.

laughs and giggles being filled in the room. they all knew they only had six days till the world end, why not live in the fullest while they still can?

with zero regrets.
