A regular in the Cafe was always a headache for Manny. The customers would always order some kind Espresso or Americano. The smell of Carmel or almonds was in the air everyday. At night, the people would get their hands on some cocktails and margaritas. Some order wine with a side of whiskey.

It was around eight so the café was close. Manny was reading the newspaper, bored while the others were coming. Manny has been feeling a little depressed. After him and his wife divorced, things were down. But their still friends. They only divorced because it wasn't really good, no communication or love.

Manny knew that love was bullshit, just like the friend zone. He sighed upset as he reads the newspaper. He looks over at the news, seeing a murdered happen down the 96 highway street down at the Brooklyn. He groans until—

"SURPRISE KISS!!!"

The newspaper fell and Manny was shocked when Brooke kissed him. Manny's eyes were widened and a dark blush appeared on his face. Brooke giggles cutely, "Heya manny! I thought I might cheer ya up with a little kiss!"

Manny blushes and gulps. Brooke looks at him, "Are you okay? Was I too far?" He asked worried now. Manny smiles and kisses Brooke more. Brooke was surprised but kisses back. The two parted ways after a while.

"Hey manny?", Brooke asked

Manny smiles. "Yes Brooke?"

"How come y-you kissed me back?", Brooke got down to his seat. "I thought you still loved your ex-wife."

"Well...", Manny sighs, "It's complicated. I don't love her as my wife, but as a friend I like her. B-But I know this may sound weird, I kinda wanna start a new relationship with ya."

Brooke blushes and gasps. Wow, Manny was asking him to be his boyfriend?! This was a dream come true. He smiled

"I would love that manny. I love you."

Manny smiles, "I love ya too Brooke."
