Earworms

Dreamworks and jack were at a table. Jack was looking at his phone as Dreamworks was drawing something. Lewis walked up "Heeeey there jack, Dreamworks."

Jack said "Hmm?...Oh! Hi Lewis."

Dreamworks said "Hey Lewis."

"So Halloween's right around the corner. Pretty soon it'll be time for some spooky scary fun! Do you know what it'll be time for, too?"

Dreamworks said "Yeah, time sure flies...wait where are you going with this?"

Lewis said as Dreamworks face planted on the table as Jack face palmed "Lewis please..."

Lewis began singing 🎵 Spooky scary skeletons!🎵

🎵Send shivers down your spine!!! Shrieking skulls will shock you to your soooul!🎵

"Can you stop it's bad enough I've had to listen this song as early as July!"

🎵Seal your doom tonight🎵

🎵spooky scary Skeletons🎵 Jack sighed.

Dreamworks pulled out her phone then typed something 'every well then. Two can play that game.'

Lewis was continuing to sing unknowing dreamworks had a plan up her sleeve. Dreamworks then played the one song that gets on everyone's nerves. (Except the ending songs those hits hard.)

Dreamworks pressed play and there was frozen 'let it go'

Lewis froze. Then he screamed covering his ears "Nooooo! I just got this song out of my head!!"

Dreamworks looked at him. "Um!! I-I mean..."

Dreamworks followed him with the phone "What's wrong Lewis? I thought you liked ear worms!"

Morris only stared again as one single thought crossed the Skeleton demons mind "Im surrounded. By IDIOTS!"

Jack relaxes

Jack asked sans "Wait, I don't understand. So you the best way to relax...is just to do nothing? How??" Sans said "Yup! There's really nothin' to it. The point of relaxin' is to stop workin' right? So what better way to clear your head than to just not think about anything?" Jack continued listening as he got drowsy "It's really not that hard, just find a spot to lay back, and if ya have to, maybe think about stuff that didn't connect to each other. Me personally, I'd just focus on how tired I feel, that usually is a great reason to loosen up. As long it's not thinking about work. Gotta give the ol' skull a chance to rest too, y'know? Heh, all this talking about relaxin' is kinda wearing me out, hmm. Should probably check if papyrus needs anything before--" Then he heard snores from Jack. Sans said "Uh...Jack? Sheesh, he must be more bone tired than I am. Even I don't fall asleep on this couch THAT fast...."

Bonus: Frisk, Sans, Temmi, and the dog fell asleep with a blanket on them.

It's just hair

Brook, Manolo, Dreamworks, and Lewis was looking at the new hair styles. Brook said "I think I pulled this look off pretty, don't you think?"

"Still curls up. I guess some things never change."

"I haven't had my mane up like this is years."

"Lookin' good guys!"

Then some wind blew Lewis' hair.

Manolo patted Lewis. "I-It's okay....It's just hair...I'll be okay...R-Really..."

Meanwhile...

Jack was talking with Daniel and Maxim. "--Too bad they couldn't find the body."

Then they saw Lewis' hair land on Daniel. Maxim raised a non-existent brown. "Well....that's different."

Jack said "Happy Hallo-oh right, it's not Halloween anymore....merry Christm-oh right..."

Jack laid down curled up "Christmas is over now too...."

"Well there's always new year's right???"

How to quench your boredom

Daniel was bored out of his skull then he found the box of tiny umbrellas. Then he got an idea

A few minutes later.

Manny was making a drink then tried to get a tiny umbrella.

Manny said "What the--?! What happened to all the cocktails um--"

Then he saw Daniel building a tower. "...Oh... so do you need me to find something' for you to do or are you good over there?"

Daniel said "Urmm."

Much more later.

Manny said "...So we're out of umbrellas for now."

Brook asked "How did he keep the umbrellas from falling apart?"

Jack said "That's quite impressive."

Temper control and a misunderstanding

It was shown Lewis about attack Brook, but he was being held back. "I didn't mean any harm Lewis! Honest!!"

Maxim was holding Lewis back, the silent skeleton using his brute strength to his advantage.

A little while later.

Manolo ran to the building while it was raining. Manolo opened the door. "Hey guys! Geez, crazy weather out there...anyways how are..." Maxim was just sitting at the bar, with a drink in hand. Manolo asked "D-did something happen?"

"So after manny put out the fires, Lewis just...took off?"

"That's basically what happened."

"..."

"I can't believe it...that just doesn't seem like something Lewis would do. Dreamworks, Daniel you two were there. Did Jack leave anything out?"

Daniel showed his hands as Dreamworks showed a crack in her skull "Rst ress" (Just these.)

"O-oh..."

"..." Maxim takes a sip of his drink

"Still, I don't get it. Lewis has a bad temper, sure. But it's not like he got upset over nothing right?"

"I...I think this is my fault. It must have been..."

"What do you mean? Wait a sec...you weren't teasing Lewis were you??"

"No! No! It was nothing like that!"

"Hmm...I don't really remember anything from our conversation that could be taken as offensive, do you? We were just talking, Brook told one of his skull jokes, and before anyone knew what happened, Lewis lost it."

"Hold on...you don't think...sure your skull jokes are...interesting, but they're harmless! Lewis knows that right?"

"I wonder...was that what upset him?"

"What was the joke about? I get that it was a skull joke, but what else was it about?"

"Uh...well...let's see...how did it go again?"

It went back to where they were talking.
"--and around midnight is when you can see the bats fly across the moon."

"I don't know how you can stand to be near such scary creatures!"

Brook said "All bats remind me of is how spooky caves can be! All those creatures, cave spikes, and darkness. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl." Lewis jumped as Daniel was asleep next to Lewis.

"Well it would if I had any skin! YOHOHOHO! Oh! Speaking of caves, have I ever told you of the time--" Lewis said as he was shaking "Shut up Brook."

"I don't think he's ever gotten THAT upset over one of my jokes...or was it something else I said? Dear me, I wish I knew...."

"You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, Brook. None of us knew Lewis would react the way he did."

"So any idea where Lewis might have gone to?" Maxim continues to sip his drink.

"No, but I doubt he'd go anywhere far away."

"That does it. I can't take this anymore."

"Where are you going manny?"

"I'm gonna go look for Lewis. I don't want this drama dragging out any longer that it needs to."

The sound of a glass hitting the countertop is heard, as Maxim walks up and opens the door for Manny. The Silent Soviet motions his head, gesturing that he's going with him. Everyone shouted "What!?"

"H-Hold on, you two! Maybe we should just give Lewis some space, you know to cool off and such?"

"You're in our way."

"Besides it's still raining!"

The two went by him "Thanks for the forecast." "Guys wait!"

"What're you so nervous about?"

"Lewis may be mad at me but I don't want him to get mad at you two as well!"

"Huh?"

"Manny I can't thank you enough for coming to our aid, and saving my Afro from catching fire--"

"Get to the point."

"My point is Lewis could still be just as angry as he was before he left! What if...what if he hurts you two? Like what happened to Daniel and Dreamworks but worse?"

It showed Daniel with his hands in pain. Dreamworks held her eye socket as tears ran down in pain.

Maxim only response was putting his hands together, and cracking his knuckles.

"That won't help. And he won't hurt us."

"How can--"

"If it were anyone else, we'd probably take your word for it. But this is Lewis we're talking about. We'll be fine, if you're thinking that Lewis will attack the moment he sees you, then why don't you stay put?"

"B..b-but...."

Maxim only sighs as he just walks out the door.

"We won't be long."

Lewis was sitting on a sidewalk sighing.

He felt an umbrella over his head.

"You know,--If you're going to be out here feeling sorry for yourself, you can at least be sensible about it." Maxim takes off his Ushanka and places it on Lewis's head, before sitting down next to him. Lewis looked up and asked "...why are you two here?"

"We decided we wanted to take a nice stroll, through the rain. And also find out where you slipped off to." "..." "Manny. Maxim, I...I-I'm so sorry I...I know I shouldn't have acted like that...it's just..what Brook was joking about...I didn't find it funny. And then he had to keep going on and on about the damn caves and.."

He calmed down "There's just...there's just some things I'm not ready to talk about yet. You guys know that right?"

Maxim just stays silent, the rain pouring down on the tall skeleton.

"Not really. None of us are entirely sure what will and won't set you off."

"Wait, you don't know??"

"Have you not been paying attention to the conversations you have with your friends? For as long as any of us have known you, you've never once mentioned the things that are a sore spot for you. We're not mind readers Lewis. If you never bring up any of the topics you find in bad taste, then don't be surprised that none of us knew joking about those would upset you."

"I-I never mentioned any of that stuff? Not even once??"

"You love dodging questions and changing subjects on a dime kids I've lost track of which subjects you do that the most."

Maxim just nods "Then...then that means...oh god...THEN EVERYONE MUST THINK I GET MAD FOR THE SAKE OF BEING MAD !! THEY MUST ALL MUST THINK IM A HUGE JERK!!"

"I don't know if they'd think of you like that..."

Thats when Maxim stands up

"Manny, what am I gonna do now!?"

"You should know the answer by now."

"I can't just walk in and expect Brook to stick around long enough for me to apologize!"

"What if he's no even there!? What if he never forgives me?! Damnit? What did I have to lose my temper like I did!?"

Manny sighed "Alright. Calm down. Here's what you should do. You turn around, start with either your right foot or your left foot, march back to the cafe and apologize."

Lewis turns around in hopes for Maxim to disagree, but the larger skeleton had his arms crosses and was just looking a Lewis with his yellow eye, silence speaks volumes, and Maxim spoke plenty of silence. "Maybe he'll forgive you. Maybe he won't. You're not gonna find out if you dodge this conversation too."

"Well I'm tired of sitting here and doing nothing."

"But manny said he won't be long!"

"Yeah Jack. We should just wait a little while longer."

"For how much longer?? It's already been a few hours now!"

"Manny'll be back before you know it. I'm sure of it." "Miss us already?"

"Manny! Maxim! Welcome back."

Brook saw Lewis walk in. "L-Lewis!!" He sighed. "L-Lewis...um, I...I know I said something that might have upset you...but-but if you would--"

"I'm sorry."
"Eh?"

"Brook I...I'm so sorry I lasted out you. What's even worse is that I lost my cool over what might as have been over nothing. At least to you guys anyway. There's a lot of things I don't feel ready to talk about yet come of those things being the conversation we were having before this whole mess happened. I didn't like what you were joking about, but that doesn't excuse how I treated you...I'm sorry."

Maxim leans on the wall.

Brook was shocked. "Don't rob me of my chance to apologize!!"

Lewis asked "H-huh??"

"You're past is none of our business? Whenever you feel like talking about it is your choice, but in the meantime, I should have been more careful about what I said around you. So please accept my apology!" "You?! But I was the one who lost my temper!"
"I was being insensitive!"
"It's my fault! I'm sorry!"
"No im sorry!"
"I..."
"I...you..."

They went silent.

They began to laugh.
"This whole thing is so weird...."

"It is kinda silly huh? So..yeah. I'm really sorry about this whole mess, bro. Are we still cool?"

Brook was silent. "Chill to the bone."

"Well I'm glad that it resolved itself."
"I'll say."

"Here." Manny handed Lewis and Brook a broom and a bucket. "What's all this for manny?"

"Don't play dumb. Part of the cafe is a mess cause of the ruckus you two pagados started. As long as you two are patching things up, you can patch up the cafe while you're at it."

"What?!"
"You completely killed the moment manny!"

"I think I'm gonna start heading home. You guys wanna tag along?"

"Your offering is very tempting...."
