"I'm sorry for attacking your mate I don't know what came over me" Baekhyun apologized again for harming Kai.

"Its okay Baek. Even if you almost ripped off his head his fine. He will heal" Kyungsoo said with his heart shaped smile.

"You're enjoying this aren't you?" Baekhyun asked.

"I'm not enjoying the fact that my mate is injured but... I will admit this is one of the few times you have apologized and I'm enjoying this moment. Since you became King this has been rare" Kyungsoo admitted.

" Me being King doesn't change our relationship" Baekhyun said rolling his eyes.

"It does. Especially when we are around others. You are my best friend but you are also my King and I have to honour that" Kyungsoo said and silence followed as they were both deep in thought.

"He is adorable" Kai broke the silence and they both realised he had entered the waiting room.

"Who?" Baekhyun asked confused.

"Your mate" Kai responded with a smile as if he hadn't almost died about an hour ago.

He still had red lines around his throat where Baekhyun had clawed at him but was almost completely healed.

"His not..."

"You almost murdered me for hurting him so you cannot deny it now" Kai responded with a smile.

"I'm sorry..."

" Don't apologize you had every right. I should be the one apologizing for hurting your pup" Kai said and Baekhyun wanted to deny but he knew Kai wouldn't give him the chance. 

"I agree he is adorable" Kyungsoo said with a smile knowing he was totally annoying their king.

"Honestly he doesn't deserve how they were treating him when we got there. I'm not a fan of wolves but the way he tried to protect the fledglings even though he was small was brave and he instantly won me over. When I saw those dumb warriors trying to kill him I snapped and ripped them to shreds. I just hope he isn't injured too bad" Kai said with a frown and his mate did the same.

On the other hand Baekhyun was boiling mad. How dare they harm his pup?

Wait did he just say his pup?

"DAMN IT" Baekhyun  gave a frustrated shout.

"What's wrong Baek?" Kyungsoo asked shocked by the sudden outburst.

"This cannot be happening. My mate can't be a wolf. This is impossible" Baekhyun responded with a frown.

"Baek I know you hate wolves and you have every reason to, but can you really hate that little ball of fur. He is adorable and not only that but unique. Have you ever seen a blue wolf before? That's impossible but he actually exists" Kyungsoo said making a lot of sense.

There has been no records of such a wolf before. It was strange but somehow Baekhyun couldn't deny the pride he felt at knowing his mate was unique.

Not only that but he had protected their young and risked his own life. With just that the pup had already earned his respect.

Maybe he was overthinking it. Right now honestly all he wanted was for his pup to be okay.

As if he read his mind the doctor walked into the waiting room.

"How is he Xiumin?" Baekhyun couldn't hide the worry in his eyes as he asked about his mate.

"We patched him up but he is pretty bruised and beaten up. From our tests it seems he has been going through constant abuse and may have many scars but its difficult to determine in his wolf form"

"When I find that alpha I'm going to murder him and roast his remains before feeding them to the vultures" Baekhyun responded filled with rage. He couldn't believe his pup had been abused.

"We can run more tests when  he shifts and..." but Xiumin was cut off by a loud pain filled howl from the next room.

Baekhyun automatically ran to aid his mate and everyone else followed behind.

The view he found broke his heart. The pup was shivering in the corner looking absolutely terrified.
"What did you do?" Baekhyun turned in anger to their second doctor Lay who was the only one in the room.

"I'm sorry my King I was just checking on him when he suddenly woke up. I didn't even have a chance to speak before he ran away and ended up falling off the bed and ran to the corner. He is terrified and won't allow me to get close to help him" Lay explained.

Baekhyun tried to hold his anger in. He wasn't angry with Lay but the stupid pack that had made his mate this way.

He took a deep breath as he was filled with the sweet scent of his mate.

He took a few steps forward and Chanyeol began to whimper in fear.

"Shhhhh...its okay baby. I won't hurt you" he spoke in a low soft tone.

The pup just gave him a weary look.

When he was close enough and reached out his hand the pup sniffed it before giving Baekhyun a confused look.

"I won't hurt you. I will never allow anyone to hurt you again" Baekhyun said before he pet the pup and rubbed his head.

The pup flinched at first but after a few seconds he leaned in enjoying the physical contact.

The electric  shocks Baekhyun felt from the contact put a smile on his face. They trully were mates.

After a few more minutes the pup stop shivering and Baekhyun was able to pick him up and place him back on the bed.

He let go of the pup who instantly whimpered from the loss of contact.

"Shhhh baby don't cry I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. The doctor just needs to check on you" he said but the pup shook its head 'no' in fear forcing Baekhyun to hold him again.

"Can you get him to shift?" Xiumin asked and Baekhyun nodded.

"Hey baby. Can you shift for me?" He asked but the pup shook its head no.

"Please. I just want to talk to you" he asked and the pup  reluctantly nodded.

Everyone turned away at Baekhyuns command because he knew his pup was shy to shift in public. 

They heard bones shifting before hearing a loud roar from their leader.

The boy had his back facing them and large claw marked scars went across his back along with smaller scars on the rest of his body.

"I'm going to kill that bastard" Baekhyun tried to suppress his anger so that he doesn't scare his mate.

Everyone else gasped in shock. The boy was so skinny even though he looked possibly taller than all of them.

But the most shocking thing was that he had fluffy wolf ears and a tail that he had wrapped around his waist.

"What's your name? My name is Baekhyun" he spoke as soon as he had calmed his anger.

"Cha...Chanyeol"  the boy whispered still looking away.

"Chanyeol... I love your name. Why don't you turn around so I can see your beautiful face" Baekhyun said loving the sweet voice of his mate.

"N...no...I can't...you won't want...me if you see...my face" Chanyeol whispered but they all heard.

Chanyeol might have been a turned wolf but he knew about mates and the scent of the man behind him proved they were mates. That's why he wasn't afraid of him. He couldn't even if he tried.

"Nonsense. Just from this angle I already know I want you. You're my pup and I will never let you go no matter what" Baekhyun said as he touched Chanyeol on his back loving the tingles he felt while carressing him in a calming manner.

After a little more convincing Chanyeol finally turned to face them.

Baekhyun  gasped in shock because his mate was absolutely beautiful. With his soft features and bright blue hair that covered half his face and deep blue eyes he looked out of this world and every single person in the room thought the same.

"Damn Baek you got the best deal he is absolutely gorgeous"  Kai said making Chanyeol sigh before he took a deep breath and brushed the rest of the hair out of his face.

"Oh my gosh" Lay said while everyone else gasped in shock.

Chanyeol burst into tears as he curled up as he lay on his side. He knew his mate would reject him. He was damaged goods who only deserved pain and rejection. That was what the alpha always told him.

Chanyeol was shocked when he felt arms wrap around him as he was filled with his mates scent and wamth.

He looked up to see his mate smiling at him.

"I don't care. You're beautiful and I will never let you go"

Chanyeol has met his mate he never knew existed. Will he be able to accept his mates love or fall into a cyvle of self hate because of how he looks?
