Chapter 4

"Where are they?" The tan male asked and the look on his face screamed irritated, furious and on his last strand of self control.

The man bound against the wall in silver chains only looked up with his none swollen eye before he smirked but didn't say a word.

He was bloody and most of his bones broken but he kept his mouth shut the whole time they tortured him.

Before the tan male could respond someone had already plunged a silver dagger in the mans heart instantly killing the werewolf.

"Why did you..." he quickly silenced himself when he saw that it was their leader who had held the dagger.

"Kai. Did you just raise your voice at me?" The male asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I apologise your highness. I was just a bit shocked at the suddenness" Kai responded with his head bowed.

"That's better. We have wasted too much time on these useless wolves while they exploit our young. Today they are going to know who I truly am and they should have never messed with my kind. Tear every single nearby pack into pieces going outwards until you find our young. Kill every single thing in sight and have no mercy. You understand"  he spoke with so much authority everyone in the room was on their knees. 

"Yes my King" Kai responded with his head low.

"If you understand then why are you still here?" The king commanded and everyone sprung into action.

As soon as part of the army was ready the King went to his room to prepare to join them.

"You know you don't have to go with them" An elderly woman spoke as he walked out of his room.

"What sort of King would I be if I didn't lead my people. They don't fight for me. I fight for them" he said as he turned to her.

"And this is why you're such a great leader my dear grandson. Your parents would be so proud of you Baekhyun" she said giving him a warm smile.

"Thank you grandmother" he said before giving her his rare box shaped smile and kissing her on the cheek.

"I know what loss feels like so let me go and retrieve our little ones before their mother dies of heartbreak" he said before leaving.

Chanyeol felt very warm  which was rare in his cold cell since they never even gave him a blanket.

If he was still human he would have frozen to death by now.

He felt something tickle his nose and twitched in annoyance because it didn't stop.

He tried pushing it away with his paws but then immediately he was reminded of what happened the previous night as pain shot through his body.

He whimpered in pain as his eyes shot open.

It took a little while for him to notice, distracted by the pain, that they were a pile of egg shells in one corner of the cell.

Which only meant one thing.

Chanyeol jumped in fear as he ran to an empty corner before turning to confirm his worst fear.

The dragon eggs had hatched and the wamth he had felt was the baby dragons wrapped around him.

He shook in fear as the three little dragons, who were actually his size if not bigger, approached him.

Only when one had snuggled up next to him did he finally relax.

The other two gave him longing looks and that's when he realised they were only seeking wamth and not to hurt him.

Being an omega his motherly instincts kicked in and he licked one of the dragons on the cheek making it giggle which was just adorable.

Soon all three were snuggled next to him and he tried his best to provide them wamth as they went back to sleep.

Chanyeol and the little fledglings  woke up to violent noises and screams.

Chanyeol didn't understand what was happening but it sounded like there was a battle going on above ground.

Soon a few warriors rushed down and opened his cell.

"Take those disgusting little lizards and lets get out of here. Alpha isn't willing to lose the money on them" one of the warriors said.

Hearing that they were planning to sell the fledglings Chanyeol was filled with so much rage that took a protective stance in front of the babies and growled at the warriors.

They looked at him in shock before laughing at him.

"And what are you going to to?" One asked pointing at the omega but next thing his hand had been painfully bitten.

"Shit you're so dead you little runt" the warrior shifted and locked his teeth around the omegas neck.

Chanyeol felt them go deeper and deeper as life was sucked out of him.

All the sounds seem to fade and only the cries of the babies could be heard.

Even in his final moments he couldn't protect them.

He was useless even until the end.

Only darkness followed.

Will this be the end for Chanyeol or is there light at the end of the tunnel?
