Chapter 3

Chanyeol woke up early but was disappointed someone had locked his cell again.

He knew better than anyone the consequences of trying to escape and so he stopped trying and they kept his cell unlocked so that he could do all his chores.

But sometimes the warriors would lock him up on purpose so that he would get in trouble with the alpha.

Specifically a man named Lucian. He made it his duty to make Chanyeols live a little worse than usual.

An hour later Lucy, his biggest bully's little sister came to open for him.

"I'm sorry Chanyeol. I just found out he took them again" she said with a sad smile.

She was one of the few people who was nice to him and he appreciated her efforts but either way in the end he was going to get into trouble.

"Thank you" he whispered but she heard him with her super wolf hearing.

He decided to jump into making breakfast since he didn't have much time left.

When he was done he got to cleaning and ended with the laundry.

By the time he was done he was headed back to his cell when he bumped into the last person he wanted to see.

Kris tried to reach out to the omega but Chanyeol flinched and took a step back.

He kept his face down mostly to hide because he never wanted anyone to see the nasty scars covering half his face.

"Chanyeol..."

"I need to go back to my cell" he whispered as he tried to walk around the older male but he blocked his way.

"Chanyeol I'm sorry about everything. I did what I could to protect you" he said.

"You should have just let them take me with my parents" he whispered fighting back the tears that came with the thought of his parents.

"The vampires are ruthless. They would have killed you" Kris said trying to reach out again but Chanyeol moved away.

"And you call this living" Chanyeol said finally looking up.

His tear stained cheeks and scars only made Kris feel more guilty.

"What are you doing out of your cell?" The alphas voice boomed across the passageway.

Chanyeol immediately looked down and apologized to the alpha showing his submission. 

"And you. What did I say would happen if I saw you speaking to him?" The alpha said as he turned to his son.

Before Kris could respond Chanyeol was on the ground screaming in pain with deep claw marks across his back filled with venom.

Kris tried to help Chanyeol but ended up laying in pain on the ground with his father on top of him.

"I'm not going to repeat myself son. Next time I will rip his head off" the alpha said before he got up and dragged Chanyeol to the cells.

Kris wasn't strong enough to fight his father and so he needed to stay away from Chanyeol. For his own safety.  

Chanyeol shifted into his small wolf pup.

It was painful but he would heal faster in that form.

These were the moments when the small wolf pup would remember the days when he was still human.

He was mostly filled with regret. For every time he complained to his parents for keeping him locked up. For protecting him from the world which had brutally broken him down.

He missed his parents but the happy memories always led him to the fact that they were most probably dead and it was his fault.

He made the biggest mistake and trusted the wrong man. What made it even more painful was the fact that Kris was his friend and maybe later on they could have been more. 

He cried himself to sleep hoping tomorrow would be a different day but he knew that would never happen. He was stuck with no hope of escape from the existence which was his life.

The next few days Chanyeol went on as usual.

He would wake up in the morning and do all his chores and if he finished them well before time the alpha allowed him a bath by a nearby river.

He didn't want the  runt stinking up the whole place.

Chanyeol lay asleep in his cold cell one night when he heard a loud ruckus.

The scents of some pack warriors filled the prison and Chanyeol couldn't help but shake in fear.

Sometimes when they were in the mood they would beat him up in the middle of the night but what puzzled him was the scent of the alpha.

He had never come down with them but he was there at that moment.

They opened his cell and Chanyeol  stayed in his little corner and made himself smaller than usual with his face hidden under his paws not willing to face the coming danger.

The alpha violently picked him up by his scruff digging in his claws.

Chanyeol silently whimpered but stayed still knowing any movement could anger the big bad wolf.

"Look at me you ungrateful little brat" the older man spat forcing the omega to obey the alphas command.

The alphas devious smirk only made the omega feel more terrified.

"This is your lucky day. I brought you in some roommates so that you don't get lonely" the alpha said as three warriors walked in each carrying a very large egg.

"These are dragon eggs. If you're lucky they might not hatch soon and gobble you up. Either way you're going to end up dead because we are never opening your cell again" the alpha said and everyone laughed with him.

Chanyeol was thrown against the wall and the alpha successfully broke his ribs.

Before he could make another move the warriors gave him a few more hits leaving him broken and bloody and unconcious.

What's going to happen to Chanyeol?

Will he finally meet his end at such a young age?
