A young 10 year old Chanyeol was so excited and couldn't even get a wink of sleep. He just sat right on front of the door waiting patiently for his parents to arrive home.

The moment he heard a shift on the large wooden door he jumped up and jumped on his mother as soon as he saw her.

"Someone is happy to see us" his father said with a smile, "Happy birthday Chanyeol"

"Happy Birthday my little angel" his mother said as soon as he let go and the door was safely shut. Even if his parents had left before he woke up he knew that they would always bring him nice things for his birthday.

They didn't disappoint because they was cake, sweets and present wrapped up in a pretty blue plastic with clouds.

"I'm not little mom. I'm ten now and soon I will be old enough to go out with you and mom" He said with a big smile.

"There is no rush my angel. Take as much time to grow. The longer it takes the better" his mother responded.

"Okay mommy. Can I open my present first before we eat?" The little boy said.

"Sure sweetheart"his mother responded.

As the little boy ripped into the box for his present he didn't notice the pained look his parents were giving each other. His birthday always reminding them that they would be a day they would lose him. A day he would grow up and join the world they so desperately they have hidden him from. A day they would lose him forever.

Baekhyun opened his eyes to see himself in his bedroom. Channel was fast asleep in his arms looking like he was having the best dream of his life with a cute smile on his face.

"It seems that you can even share your memories even when you're asleep" the dragon whispered with a smile before kissing his mate on his forehead and getting comfortable enough to get back to sleep.

'Your highness' as soon as he closed his eyes his best friend had to mind link him.

'What?'

'There is a little problem that needs your assistance'

'At 1am. What kind of problem is that?'

'It will make sense if you come down to the living room. I'm sorry but I have no idea how to handle this'

'Fine. Give me 5 minutes' Baekhyun carefully got out of bed causing Chanyeol to mumble and move a bit before he went still and started snoring evenly.

Before Baekhyun even got to the living room he could hear babies crying which made him wonder what the hell was going on. He hoped the noise wouldn't get bad enough to wake his mate even if they had sound proof rooms. When you're a supernatural creature with superhearing they are a lot of things you wish you could never hear and so everyone needed their privacy.

He found there women trying to sooth the three crying babies and turned to Kyungsoo for an explanation.

"This woman brought them in" he pointed out a woman who sat next to an extra size basket where he had arrived carrying the triplets.

"She was the maid of the woman who had birthed these babies but the woman has decided to just up and leave. She is a lone dragon, meaning she does not have a mate. And so she seduced and slept with a man in an attempt to make him mark her and take her in. But then the man found his mate and broke it off with her. She wanted to use the babies to get him back but his mate couldn't accept fledglings that were not her own and so the left a few days ago. The woman plan failed and she didn't need the children anymore and so she just left. Especially when they shifted into their human forms and started crying even more. These are also the fledglings we rescued recently" Kyungsoo explained.

"What sort of mother abandons her own young especially after what they went through. Because she was not there when they hatched she was supposed to love and care for them to show them she was their mother and not abandon them. Did she have any family?"

"No. She came and joined the clan on her own"

"Well this is complicated" Baekhyun said. They rarely had cases of orphaned children and usually if a child lost their parents their relatives would take them in. These triplets had no one and the way they wailed at that moment was so sad and heartbreaking.

Before more words could be spoken a sleepy Chanyeol walked into the room with 3 warm bottles of milk. He soothed the first two babies to stop crying before giving each woman a bottle to feed them. He took the last baby in his arms who immediately stopped crying but before he could give the baby the milk shocking words left the babies lips.

"Mama" this caused Chanyeol to smile before proceeding to feed the baby rendering everyone in the room silenced in shock.
