Chanyeol woke up on the familiar cold floor in the room covered in darkness.

He shook not because of the cold but because of the fear that came with the territory.

Before he could understand what was happening the door slammed open revealing his greatest nightmare causing the omega to scream for his life as claws imbeded his sensitive skin.

"Shhhhh....baby calm down...its just a dream"

The omega jumped up and tried to run away but a tight grip held him down.

"Shhhh...baby its me. You're safe. No one is going to hurt you. I will never allow it" Baekhyun loosened his grip when his mate visibly calmed down.

"I...I was back...I was back there and..." Chanyeol sobbed as he recalled his nightmare and his mate did all he could to calm him down.

"Are you...mad with me? Are you going to leave me again" The omega asked his eyes getting watery again when he saw the frown on the dragons handsome face and the anger boiling in his eyes.

"No I could never be mad with you and I will never leave you again. I'm angry with that stupid alpha who dared to lay a finger on what's mine" Baekhyun said in a deep dorminant voice as his eyes switched to the red of his dragon.

He then closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm down because he wasn't trying to scare his mate.

"If only I knew what the man looked like it would be so much easier to find him.

Everytime I'm close to getting the bastard he slips away like a shadow, as if he doesn't exist.

I even approached the werewolf king about it and the man swears he closely monitors all his packs and there is none like that or an out of control alpha who breaks the rules. He said if I continue with my lies he won't hesitate to start a war" Baekhyun said before closing his eyes again to calm down.

He then felt gently fingers on his cheek and he slowly opened his eyes to face his mate.

"I wish I could help. I wish I could draw him for you or project images of his face in your mind" Chanyeol said as he leaned forward their lips meeting in a gently passionate kiss.

Chanyeol had just finished cooking and setting the dinner table. He was walking out when he was yanked back by his hair and dragged back into the room.

He didn't dare scream or make a sound as the silent tears fell down his face.

Any sounds he made including sounds of pain earned him an extra bruise or broken bone.

"Were you going to leave without saying goodbye" his biggest tormentor got into his face with his usual evil smirk that made Chanyeols heart fall all the time because he knew what came after it and could never run away from the torture.

And on cue he bashed his face as his friends joined in and beat him all over his body.

"STOP" the dorminant voice boomed in the dining room causing everything to stop.

For once the omega turned to face the alpha and was thankful for him but his next words made his heart sink even more.

"Wait until I get a good seat. I love having dinner with some sort of entertainment" the man said as he took a seat at the head of the table before telling them to resume and everything went blank.

Baekhyun pushed his mate in shock as he opened his eyes. He looked around the room to make sure he was in the right place.

What he just saw, he felt it all. The pain the emotions the grief he felt it all as if he was the one being abused. And it made no sense.

But then he also saw his face. The face of the man he had been going after all these years. And he strangly looked familiar somehow.

"Chanyeol. What did you just think about?" Baekhyun asked his mate carefully.

"I'm sorry...I thought of a bad memory...thinking about him...I couldn't help remembering what he did to me" Chanyeol said looking away.

"No don't apologize...its just that I saw it too...or you showed me. I'm not really sure. Dress up real quick we are going to meet the others" Baekhyun said as they quickly got
ready and met the others in the kitchen having breakfast.

Before anyone could say a word he explained all that had happened and everyone was in shock.

"Its crazy I know but it happened but I can't show you all what I saw" Baekhyun then turned to face his mate, "I need you to show Kyungsoo what you showed me. He is the only one that can draw here"

"Ummm....okay...but I'm not sure how I did it the first time" Chanyeol said looking down shy all the attention was on him.

"What were you thinking about when it happened the first time?" Suho asked.

"Ummm...I just wanted to help. I wanted to show my mate what I went through" he responded still looking down.

"Try it with kyungsoo as well. We really need your help and this is the only way" Suho said and the omega nodded.

Kyungsoo stood in front of him as they held hands and took a big breath before they closed their eyes.

There was a man sitting behind a large desk giving his guest a serious look but the other did not dare to say a word.

"I have watched you grow and become the man you are today. You are the strongest so far who even surpasses those with more years and scars of experience and your abilities are far more amazing than what most are given. This is why I can trust you for this mission" the mans deep dominant voice filled the room.

"Thank you your highness...but my abilities could never surpass those of the prince. He has been blessed with abilities beyond belief and I could never win a physical fight with him. But at the same time he is humble and never takes advantage of others even if he easily could" the young man responded as he bowed his head in respect.

"That is true. This is why I'm not worried and I know he will be a great king even tomorrow" the man said.

"Your highness please don't speak as if he will need to take the throne sooner than planned. You are still very healthy and strong. They will be decades before that time comes" he said and didn't miss the grief that passed the mans eyes before he covered it up.

"We do not know what the future holds but we need to be ready for it. I need to ask you a favour young warrior" the man said.

"Anything you want your highness I am at your command" the young man bowed.

"Take my son away from here and no matter what happens, no matter what you hear do not return until one of us sends word for your return. Protect him with your life. Don't only be his friend but be his protector and foundation no matter what happens. Never leave his side. I'm trusting you with this" the man said seriously.

"Your highness..."

"Will you do as I ask?" The man cut him off meaning there was going to be no further explainations.

"Yes...I will do it"

Chanyeol and Kyungsoo let go of each other each sharing a shocked expression.

"Did you see anything? Did you see his face?" Baekhyun asked as soon as they both got back to their senses.

"Yes and no" Kyungsoo said as he rubbed his head feeling a headache coming up.

"I didn't see his memories...but my own" Kyungsoo responded with a frown.

Kyungsoo didn't just think of his own memory but it felt as if he had been catapulted back in time and relieved the memory once again.

"It felt like I involuntarily thought of a distant memory. Or went through it again. It was strange" Kyungsoo said looking at Chanyeol.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to pry in your mind. It just happened" Chanyeol took a step back as if shaking in fear.

"Calm down Chanyeol I won't hurt you. Have you...ever done that before?" Kyungsoo asked.

"Once...when the alpha...the day the alpha clawed...my face" Chanyeol whispered but they all heard.

Baekhyun wrapped his arm around his mate.

"Its okay you don't have to talk about it" Baekhyun said as he led the omega to sit down.

"Its okay...I want to talk...about it...I never told anyone...It was his memory...and he was with a woman...and he loved her. It was strange because the woman shared similar features with me. Like a girl version of me... I think it was his mate...but then the memory changed and he was holding her mangled body in his arms... and there was a man who stood a distance away with blood on his hands...I didn't know who the man was...until now" Chanyeol said shocking everyone in the room.

"Who was it?" Kyungsoo asked hoping what he thought wasn't the truth.

"The man...in your memory that we just saw"
