Night Shifter -- Ronald

~*****~

With Sam getting into his uniform, Dean took the moment to approach me outside. "Hey," He hummed as he looped his arm around my waist. "You feelin' all right?"

I cleared my throat and nodded my head. "Yeah, why do you ask?"

"Lottie, I know you. You went after a shifter by yourself after the split, and I'm sure that must've been easier for you," Dean explained. My lower lip started quivering slightly as he stared at me with those green eyes of his. "To be honest, I'm feeling a little nervous about this as well." He kissed me softly and curled me against his chest. "The last time we went against a shifter, I hurt you. I hurt you real bad."

I reached up to cup his face and offered him a soft smile. "Dean, I'll be fine. I promise. Let's just get this son of a bitch." I lean my face against his neck and breathed in his rustic scent.

"I love you," Dean hums softly as he continues to hold me.

"I love you, too." I hum in response.

"Well, we haven't had any flags go up on our system yet," The security guard on the last bank offered when we followed him in.

"No, no, this is a glitch in the overall grid." Dean explains simply. "Just want to make sure the branch monitors are kosher."

The security guard hums. "Better to be safe than sorry, I guess."

"That's the plan." Dean smiled. We stepped into the security office, our gazes locking onto the monitors over viewing the entire bank.

"All righty. You guys need anything else?"

"No thank you, we're okay." I hum softly. "We'll be in and out before you know it. Just a routine check." I explain.

"Okeydokey." The Security Guard hums in a friendly manner before leaving us alone.

"I like him. He says Okeydokey." Dean giggles.

"What if he's the shifter?" Sam inquired.

"Well, then we follow him home." Dean mentioned.

"And put a silver bullet through his chest plate." I add dryly.

Sam and Dean took the seats while I leaned over their shoulders. "Okay. You got any popcorn?" Dean asks.

"You're such a freak," I snort and sit in his lap. We ran through every camera in the bank. "Looks like Dean's favorite.... is OkeyDokey." I mention cutely.

"That's my girl," Dean commented as Sam shot me an annoyed glare.

"Maybe we jumped the gun on this, guys." Sam offered. "We don't even know it's here." Dean hummed as I leaned forward slightly. "Maybe we should just go to the sewers and..." I leaned back and pinched Dean's hand from zooming in on a woman's butt. "Dean, we're supposed to be looking for eyes.

"I'm gettin' there." Dean offered as he rubbed his hand.

"Wait a minute," I start moving the camera onto someone with bright eyes. "Found him." I point to the monitor.

"Hello, freak," Dean breathed.

"Come on," I get up from Dean's lap to leave.

"Lottie, Sam-" Dean barked.

"What?" The two of us hum. Gazing back at the camera, we see Mr. Resnick locking all the doors shut.

"Hello, Ronald." Dean sighed heavily.

"We've gotta go," I bite. "Now!"

"And you said we shouldn't bring guns," Dean growled as we followed him down the halls.

"We didn't know this was going to happen, Dean!" Sam barked.

"All right, just let me do the talking." Dean hummed. "I don't think he likes you two very much, Agents."

"There is only one way in and out of here, and I've chained up up!" I hear Mr. Resnick bark to the people in the lobby.

"Hey, buddy!" Dean barks loudly. Mr. Resnick turns his gazes on us warily. "Why don't you just calm down? Just calm down."

"What?" Mr. Resnick gasped as the three of us held out hands up to show we had no weapons. "You! Get on the floor, now!"

"Okay, we're doing that." Dean hummed as he got to his knees. I followed suit after a moment. "Just don't shoot anyone, especially us."

"I knew it-- As soon as you three left. You ain't FBI. Who are you?! Who are you working for, huh? The Men in Black?" Mr. Resnick asked wildly. I snorted slightly. "You working for the Man-Droid?!"

"We're not working for the Man-Droid!" Sam shot back angrily.

"You shut up!" Mr. Resnick screamed. "I ain't talking to you! I don't like you!"

"Fair enough," Sam hummed.

Mr. Resnick waved his gun towards the people by the stands. "Get over there." He snapped to a man at the end. "Frisk them down, make sure they got no weapons. Go!"

The man started patting Sam down, and moved to me. "Whoa, easy there, tiger." Dean offered impishly before the man moved to him. I let out a sigh of annoyance as the man pulled out a blade from Dean's ankle.

"And what have we here?" Mr. Resnick asks.

Sam and I shot glares at him. "I'm not just gonna walk in here naked." We kept our glare on him.

"Give that here," He shoves the blade through the slot in the counter as Dean tried to stop him.

"We know you don't want to hurt anybody." Dean stated. "But that's exactly what's gonna happen if you keep wavin' that cannon around. Why don't you just let these people go?"

"No!" Mr. Resnick barked. "I already told you! If nobody's gonna stop this thing, then I've got to do it myself!"

"Hey, we believe you! That's why we're here!" Dean shot back.

"You don't believe me!" Mr. Resnick shouted. "Nobody believes me! How could they!?"

Dean sucked in an air through his teeth and flicked his hand slightly. "Come here."

"What? No!"

"You're holding the gun, hoss," I hum softly. "You're calling the shots. He just wants to tell you something."

Mr. Resnick hesitantly steps up to Dean. After he's close enough, Dean speaks. "It's the Bank Manager..." He whispers softly.

"What?" Mr. Resnick hummed in a whisper.

"Why do you think we got these getups, huh?" Dean asks. "We've been monitoring the cameras in the back. We saw the bank manager. We saw his eyes."

"His laser eyes?" Mr. Resnick asks.

"Yes. No, no!" Dean stopped himself. "Look, we're running out of time! We got to find him before he changes into someone else!"

"Like I'm gonna listen to you. You're a damn liar!" Mr. Resnick shouted. Dean started getting up. "I'll shoot you! Get down!"

"Take me," Dean offered. "Take me as a hostage. But we gotta act fast because the longer we just sit here, the more time he has to change. Look at me, man. I believe you. You're not crazy. There really is something inside this bank."

Mr. Resnick hesitated. "All right," He nodded slowly. "Y-You come with me. But everyone else gets in the vault!" He shouted.

Sam and I shared annoyed looks before he lead us all down the halls and into the vault.

"Come on, move! Move!" Mr. Resnick barked. "Then you lock it up!" He ordered Dean.

Dean offered me a smile. "It's okay, everyone. Just stay cool." Dean breathed and closed the doors.

"Well, now what?" I ask Sam in annoyance.

"Who is that man?" A woman asks.

"He's my brother." Sam mentioned.

"He is so brave." The woman cooed.

I groaned and leaned against Sam's shoulder.

~*****~

With Sam offering his shoulder for me to lean on, we waited in the vault for anything to happen. At this point, I'd take being arrested just to get out of this damn vault. "You think it's already shifted?" I ask Sam softly.

"I think so," Sam breathed. "With Ronald waving that gun around earlier."

The lights go off, and I gasp softly. "Shit." I bark. "Cops are here."

"Has your brother always been so... wonderful?" That same woman asks Sam. "I mean, staring down that gun. And the way he played right into that psycho's crazy head, telling him what he wanted to hear? I mean, he's like a real hero or something."

"Yeah," I hum in annoyance. "He's actually my boyfriend." Sam snorts and pats my shoulder slightly.

"Oh my g-- you saved us! You saved us!" The woman shrieks as the vault opens up.

"Actually, I just found a few more." Dean hummed. "Come on, everybody, let's go. Let's go."

"Sam, Lottie-" Dean hummed. "Ronald and I need to talk to you two."

Sam and I shot looks to one another before filing out after the two. Dean gave the blonde girl an apologetic look before closing the vault back up again.
