(time skip a few minutes later)

Ash had arrived at where ever he left butterfree. It seemed like an memory now: catching butterfree when it was still a caterpie until when it envolved and helped Ash defeat a group of beetrils. It was rusty: a rusty memory. Yet the memory was going to be renewed again......................

Ash stared mindlessly at the air in front of him. He couldn't believe that he was going to see butterfree again. After so many years. 

Exitment sprouted from Ash's heart like a fountain sprouting endless ripples of water! Ash knew that he had to control himrself and not let his exitment spoil the moment!

Then Ash saw it. His butterfree. It was dancing through a swarm of other brightly coloured butterfrees, which Ash was sure to be his butterfree and it's mates children.

Looking more closely, Ash could see how happy they were. At one point, one would dance below the other and the other, on top of each other! It reminded Ash of Serena. Would he ever be able to fully express his feelings to her? He wished they were butterfrees, as happy as ever, dancing around and kissing each other whenever they met. 

For a split second, Ash started to believe that he was a butterfree! Luckily, his hardcore senses pulled his human instincts back. He knew it was a dream. Perhaps a dream that will come to reality!

"Butterfree" asked Ash nerveously. He wondered wether butterfree  would still remember it's former trainer who had set it free. Ash could feel his muscles tenscing! This was the moment, the one and only moment on wether butterfree would reconsider him as a friend or a foe.

Ash held his breath. No matter what, seeing butterfree made his heart pump with joy. 

"Free free" said Butterfree happily.

"Yes" shouted Ash excitedly "butterfree still recongnises me!".

It was like a blast, coming from the past. It struck Ash like a missile. Butterfree was one of the Pokemon who he saw on his first day of being a trainer. It was also one of the only he caught!
