Ever get that feeling that something bad is going to happen? It’s like a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach. Sometimes it just stays there… it makes you anxious. I’m feeling that. I couldn’t refrain myself from feeling like that. It’s been awhile since Drakus and I saw Magnis last. He practically threatens me. I fear for my baby. What if he catches me at a vulnerable time and strike? What if—

“Joel, baby! Calm down! Your thoughts are strong and nerve-wrecking! You’ll stress yourself.” I glanced over to Drakus. I caught his worried and concern face. I sighed and averted my eyes to the floor. “Sorry, Drakus. I just… feel scared right now, you know? Magnis said he’s coming for me.” Drakus walked over to me and pulled me into his embrace, kissing my cheek. “I know. I’m not letting him take you away. I’m your mate and as your mate I will protect you. I’d die for you.” I gave a small smile. I knew Drakus wasn’t lying to me. He did love me and I loved him back. We were meant for each other, right?

For the past week, Joel was beginning to fall into a depressed state. Since Magnis reappeared, my mate has been scared out of his wits. Being connecting emotionally and telepathically I would know. Right now, I was comforting him.

“I will protect you. I’d die for you.” I assured him. Joel gave a small smile. That lessens my worry for him. At least he could smile. “I know. I’d do the same thing for you.” I placed my hand on his stomach, on our child. “You already have done something. You’re carrying our child.” Joel turned so he was straddling me. “Speaking of which, want to find out the sex?” “I would like that.” SLAP!

“Not that sex, your pervert!” I smirked. “Just teasing you. Come on. Let’s ask Revina.” Joel nodded and pulled me up with him, which I warned him about. We went to Revina’s office and luckily she was there. And with an ultrasound ready. Was she an expert or something? “Yes. Yes she is, Drakus.” I grumbled to Joel who winked. Revina strolled to us. “You know the drill, Joelisa.” Joel nodded and propped himself on the table. Revina lifted his shirt, showing his abdomen. She spread some clear gel and began to move a ‘device’ on it. “Hmm… well, if you look here and can see… OH MY DEROS!” “What?!” I had to cover my ears. “Revina, is something wrong?” I asked. “NO. YOU’RE HAVING TWINS!”
