The library was the second new place he's been in today. He hadn't been in a library since high school maybe? He wasn't sure where to find the history section in this big old two-story building. The air was slightly dusty and smelled like old ladies for some reason. He hoped this was the library she was talking about. He had to google where it was, this was the closest one. He wasn't about to take a taxi to the next one. Funds were running low.

He approached a young lady behind the counter as he entered. She was cute with her hair tied back and her little black tie. He smiled. She looked him up and down without a smile, more like disgust. Well, he was saturated with sweat.

"Uhm, where's the history section?"

She resumed typing on her computer, faking being busy. "Upstairs, section 305.1.1"

"What?" Henry was confused. Couldn't she have said aisle 6 like a supermarket?

"It'll say History on the board," she said with more attitude than was necessary for a guy who was just trying to learn.

Henry drummed his fingers. "Thanks." People were trying to kill him, the least she could have done was be nice.

He drudged up the stairs to the second floor and read every sign he could see until he landed on the one that said "History". He wandered down the aisle. Wondering where Ophelia was, she said fifteen minutes and it took him half an hour to walk here.

"Hey!" She said too loudly in a library.

"Fuck! you scared me." She was hiding behind another shelf of books across from the ones he was browsing through.

She called him over with her hands like they were on a stealth mission. "What's all this for?" He asked when he reached to her.

"Did anyone follow you?"

"Apart from the people trying to kill me? I don't think so."

"The detective?"

"Well, I left him there, saying my girlfriend really needs to see me."

"And?" 

Henry raked his hands through his hair. "Well, he let me go?" 

She pulled him behind the shelf and surveyed the area. "Are you sure you weren't followed?" 

"Positive, but shouldn't I be worried about you?"

"Me? Why?" She questioned. 

"If people are trying to kill me, you could be involved."

She shook her head. "I'm the one that saved your life you idiot."
