Spring Day
Dedicated to SolanaStellaLuna
'That was the day I decided, you're mine,
and that I was going to never let you go. Let us go,'
By the time Namjoon and Mishil had reached the dorms, everyone knew of it.
The grim bond they shared. The choice Namjoon had. They'd all worried if he was gonna let her go, as they got recurrences from 3 months ago when Namjoon had clearly indicated he didn't want a soulmate.
Jimin and his soulmate, Mi Eun stood, internally acknowledging destiny for giving them a normal bond. Jungkook and his soulmate, Mirae held onto each other's hands, remembering each other's states when they found out that they'd been in a bond that was to leave them alone soon enough.
Countless nightmares, countless nights when the girl had woken up crying. Not being able to seal the bond. But they did, and that night was the happiest night of Jungkook's life. They sympathized with the leader and his soulmate.
But the second the members saw Namjoon, they were almost relieved that the leader wouldn't make what they believed to be the biggest mistake of his life. He came with his head low, Jin had his arm around his shoulder, while Sora walked in, supporting a tear-stained Mishil.
Sora silently pushed past the heaps of people congregated in the dorm to talk to them and gently laid the unresponsive girl on Namjoon's bed. She curled up into a ball and turned to her side, sobbing silently which was mostly muffled by the pillows and covers, but Sora could hear them.
She walked outside to where the rest of the boys were seated, silent. Sora looked at Namjoon, who was sitting on the floor, with his head between his knees, silent and unresponsive, just like her. He felt the familiar tightening in his chest. Something that was crashing him against the jagged edges of reality and then pulling him back, just to repeat the motion.
He now, knew that this was his grief plus his soulmate's grief. Their feelings that had been shared with him. The bond that she had to face alone. Something, the both of them had to work with if they wanted each other. The Namjoon from 3 months ago wouldn't stopped one second to break the bond, but the Namjoon today?
When did he know that the girl inside did things to him? Things that he was unfamiliar with. What was he supposed to do when this truth had made its painful entry, just when he had started to fall for her?
"Namjoon, go! She needs you." Sora said, gently touching his shoulder.
Namjoon looked up, his eyes rimmed red as he nodded to Sora's words and picked himself up the floor. Sora touched his arm, which made Namjoon look at her, with red-rimmed eyes and almost overflowing tears.
She wordlessly, enveloped the taller but younger man in a hug, burying his face in her shoulder, just softly caressing his hair. Namjoon, at finding such a loving and reassuring touch finally, let the dams open. His tears flowed out like raindrops, as his shoulders shook and his sobs muffled in Sora's jacket.
Jin sighed at the sight of his younger, who now stood in the arms of his soulmate, crying his eyes out, at a loss of what to do and how to do it. He sprung up from his seat and touched the rapper's hair, the dark blonde hue from the recent comeback, and sighed remembering what he saw.
He had walked into Namjoon's studio, just a few days after Mishil got the job as Sora's assistant to find the soulmates lying down on his couch, dazed off. While in Namjoon's arms slept his soulmate, her fingers tangled in his hair.
He blushed at seeing the older but Jin just shrugged and walked out; thinking Namjoon had indeed come to care for her. Like he should've.
"We'll help you! We'll help you and her get through this. You have us. You'll get through this. I know you both will." Sora pacified, making the boy nod on her shoulder.
Then he walked off, his head hung low, wiping his eyes, to his room. The rest of the members were sorry for the newly made soulmates' state and they knew they had to help them get on with this stupid See Saw.
He walked into his room, still wiping tears to see Mishil, curled up in a ball in the middle of the bed, her whole body shaking. Namjoon's heart clenched at the sight of her; lying there so broken and helpless. He kicked off his shoes and slid off his blazer before climbing the bed and then, wrapped his arms around her waist.
She froze and felt the golden soulmate's energy course through her veins, as Namjoon's long fingers brushed against her bruises. Those bruises were like a lanyard card to their bond. A lanyard and of course; a noose around their necks.
Or was it a necklace? No! Not a necklace but a choker. That was beautiful but had never failed to remind you of their existence.
"Shhhh Mish shhhh..." Namjoon whispered in her ear, his voice still broken from the semi-crying session he had just seconds ago. She remembered one occasion when she was talking to him about her experience as an ARMY. It was then that she told him about the teary experience when BTS had cried while receiving a certain MAMA award of theirs.
She shyly admitted that seeing them cry, made her tear up too! Her cheeks had turned up a pleasant shade of red when the Leader had said that if he ever saw her cry, he'd teared up too. Like he'd teared up that day, the day he'd found her crying in her apartment.
They lay there, as still as the other one, silently trying to control their tears in each other's holds.
"Mishil, will you please look at me?" Namjoon asked, loosening his hold around her waist She softly turned to her side, facing her soulmate with tear tear-stained face. Namjoon's heart slammed against his chest as he saw her teary face, glassy eyes and red nose. "Will you...tell me...to go...away?" She asked, her voice, shaky. She had just spoken out one sentence and Namjoon found it hard to hold back his tears. He wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her tight while burying her face in his chest. Her heart felt like exploding when she was this close to him.
"Why would you think like that? You think I pulled you close to push you away in the end?" Namjoon stroked her hair, feeling her heartbeat. "We'll get through this. We have to get through this. You and me, together. And when we come out on the other side; we'll be stronger than any other soulmates. You trust me, right?" She nodded against his chest, at that moment trusting him, more than herself. "Then when I say, we'll get through this, we will get through this. I am not losing my only soulmate. I promise Mishil! We'll make it to the end." Namjoon kissed the side of her head, once again reducing the burden that was up until then ready to crush her under the sheer weight of it, making blood rush up to her cheeks, her lips curving up ever so slightly.
"Now there's the smile and blush I was missing." He flexed his dimples, making her do something that she'd always wanted to do. She softly poked one of his dimples making the leader's eyes widen. The corner of his lips curved up at one side as he levelled his lips with her ear. "My girl likes my dimples, huh?!" She blushed harder than ever, her heart of hers slamming against her rib cage. Even though he'd said that to tease her when he called her 'my girl' she knew she was safe. That she was not alone in this.
Yes, they were scared. Yes, they were mad. But, somewhere in all this chaos, they were happy. That they had a chance. A shot at this.
Either one was scared that the other wouldn't want this. They were scared to fall. Scared to take the next step. Scared that they would be forced to lose each other. But when you have a hand holding yours tight, your fear decreases. When someone tells you, it's gonna be fine; you believe.
And that's what happened to the soulmates bound by the See Saw bond. The bond may have been something not too easy. But they had each other.
They knew this was not gonna be easy. They knew that this was gonna be long. But Namjoon had written, that no season could last forever. They knew this too would pass.
They had each other. They had a promise. And that was all they needed.
Hola mi amours!!
'Bonded' is one of my dream projects and I love writing this book.
The arc is going up and so is the book. Thank you, you beautiful people!
Special thanks to SolanaStellaLuna for her amazing covers and banner for Bonded. Thank you!!
Also, those of you who have read minxy_keys 'Soulmate Bonded: Jungkook' will know what I meant about Jungkook and his soulmate's bond.
I do not mean to plagiarize her story! I just feel like that story, that bond is perfect for Jungkook.
Which is why, I did not change the bond. Hope that makes sense.
See you tomorrow on another 'Daydream'
