"Hello? Sharan bava, Akka is in hospital. Can you please come over?",she said trying to catch her breath as she was panting.

"What happened, Aaru? All okay",Sharan asked averting his gaze away from the client and the files in front of him.

"I don't know, Sharan bava! I think some of her colleague called me up and I didn't know who else to call and inform except for you. I am so sorry for troub-",Sharan cut her off before she could speak further.

"Aaru, calm down and nothing will happen to your sister she is a strong person and now is the time you need to be strong for her. Just send me the location and I'll be there as soon as possible",Sharan said.

Aaradhana wiped her tears and nodded, realising he can't see her through a voice call,hitting her head with her hand for being silly.

"Yeah, I'll just do it",she said and hung up the call.

After sending the location to Sharan, in around fifteen minutes she reached the hospital.

"Mridula Kat..Mridula Kodidela ",she asked in the receptionist.

"In the ICU, second floor",as soon as she heard that from the receptionist she rushed to the specified floor and room taking long strides.

Three people were standing outside the ICU and when they saw Aaradhana there, one of them came towards her.

"Aaradhana? Mridula's sister?",HOD of Chemistry department asked Aaradhana and she nodded.

"What happened to my sister?",Aaru asked. As an intern she knew it was not allowed to enter into the ICU, she had to ask either of them three to know what happened.

"We're still getting to know about that but according to the students, some..some trustee's children smeared some powder on her face after which she fell unconscious",The HOD said.

"Why would they do that? And where are they right now?",Aaru asked getting angry.

"Ma'am, please calm down! Our principal is dealing with them, but I'll have to say something that nothing much would happen since they are the trustee's children. Mridula was a great lecturer I hope nothing happens to her",The HOD said.

"What do you mean by nothing happens to her?What kind of powders are you allowing the students to carry in the college premesis? And why would those children be left like that? What is the college and management doing when such activities are being carried out by the children? Encouraging them?",Aaru asked trying hard to keep her voice low.

The HOD didn't have an answer and just bent her head low. While the other two lecturers just kept looking here and there.

"I swear to God, if something happens to my sister I won't spare anyone who is responsible for her state. Just pray that she gets well soon",Aaru said and stood near the door waiting for the duty nurse or the doctor to come out.

On the other hand, Sharan was in a middle of client meeting.

"I'm sorry, but I need to be somewhere else right now! There is a fam..There is an emergency and I can't seem to be here for longer time. I'll make sure that we'll reschedule the meeting to the earliest time possible once again. I hope you understand. Thank you, and sorry once again",he said.

"Alright Mr. Kodidela, go on! It seems to be someone dear! They'll be alright soon don't worry",his client said to which Sharan just gave him a small smile and a nod, grabbing his blazer and apologising them once again he calls Ishaan through his intercom.

"Ishaan, can you come in once please?",he said and hung up.

After the client left from there, Ishaan entered Sharan's cabin.

"Yes, sir",Ishaan asked.

"Ishaan, please reschedule my meetings for the day and are there any hearings for tomorrow?",Sharan asked.

"No sir, but there is one day after tomorrow. Also the police department personnel meeting. Should I reschedule that as well sir?",Ishaan asked.

"I don't have an option about that, Ishaan. Aaradhana just called and Mridula is in hospital, she might be an intern but she is still a child at heart. She needs someone to be there with her as a mental support at least till the family members reach there or till Mridula becomes alright",Sharan said with a straight face.

"Got it sir, I'll inform them about it. Don't worry about anything here, trust me about things here, I'll handle them. And Ma'am will be alright soon",Ishaan said.

He gave a slight nod to Ishaan and took long strides to the parking lot. He entered his car and took a deep breathe before starting to drive. He checked his messages and set location with maps.

It showed it will take maximum of half an hour to reach there, he started to drive and all his thoughts were roaming around her magically.

What could happen to her?

I just hope nothing is serious, I mean how can it be serious she was fine this morning? Wasn't she?

Don't tell me she tried to-?

Dei, Sharan she wouldn't do something like that, she's not that weak!

But what if that was too much to handle?

Ughh, I can't!!!

I just hope she is fine, after all she is a human too.

After all she is a human too, she has feelings too, she is not made up of rock.

Oh that I doubt.

Not the time to fight, Sharan! Concentrate, Aaru is alone in hospital.

I don't hate her, I just don't like her. I just- I don't know, I am not talking anymore, zipping my mouth now!

Sharan drove to the hospital and reached there after fourty minutes. He called, Aaru to find where she was.

"Aaru, where are you?",he asked as soon as she answered the call.

"Second floor, ICU bava. Are you here?",she asked.

"Yes, I'll be there in a minute",he said and hung up the call.

Sharan took the stairs and asked a nurse for directions and reached the ICU.

Aaru was standing near the ICU door while there were three more women who he didn't know. He took long strides towards her and as soon as Aaru saw him she held his hand and started sobbing.

"Aaru, Aaru, calm down!",he said as she continued to sob. He didn't say anything else and let her let all her emotions out.

"Water?",he asked and Aaru nodded in no wiping her tears.

Aaru narrated him everything that has happened and all that she has been informed of by the HOD. He looked at them sitting on the chairs nearby handling one call after the other.

"Did anyone come out yet?",he asked.

"Not any yet, I am guessing they'll be out anytime now",Aaru said and he nodded.

"Should we inform family?",he asked.

"I think we should but, they'll be worried. Let's get to know what's her condition first and then inform them. Amma will surely breakdown if she knows this and she would ask akka to quit this stupid job also and don't even ask about appa",Aaru said and Sharan understood her pov.

They waited there outside the ICU for some more time and one of the duty nurses came out.

"Who is patient's family?",she asked and both Sharan and Aaradhana pointed to themselves.

"She had some reaction with cocaine. Now, she is fine. The doctor wants to have a word, please wait in her cabin",the nurse said.

"Can we see her?",Aaru asked.

"Not yet, please come this way",the nurse said guiding them to the doctor's cabin.

Both of them sat there waiting for the doctor.

"Cocaine? Seriously? What kind of college is it?",Sharan said.

"I'm shocked too, bava! It's a reputed college and this wasn't something that I expected",Aaru said.

"Do you want to file a case?",Sharan asked.

"Of course, I wouldn't leave them like this. Thank goodness she is okay! At many cases if the body is very sensitive or can't take the drug effect it leads to death because of cardiac arrest. How can I just let it go?",Aaru said.

"You are absolutely right",they heard a women's voice and turned to the direction of the door.

"Be grateful there wasn't a highly serious reaction. She might feel dizzy for a few days. After that she should be fine, but I want to know how the drug entered her body?",the doctor asked.

Aaru narrated the incident that she knew according to the HOD.

"Let the patient gain her conscious and then you can see what could be done. Don't stress her much regarding anything. We might not know what side effects this could cause and how her body would react after this",the doctor said to which both of them nodded.

"I assume you are her husband",the doctor asked to which Sharan paused for a couple of seconds and then nodded his head saying yes.

"Make sure, she doesn't do anything that causes her additional stress and also eats her meal on time. Any complaint regarding her health, reach out to the hospital before it can become something big",the doctor said to which Sharan nodded.

"You may leave now, she'll be shifted to general ward as soon as she gains her conscious and only one person may visit her till then",the doctor said.

They walked to the ICU and found that the college staff left already.

"You go and see her, I'll make calls to aunty and uncle also get some water from the canteen",Sharan said.

Aaru nodded, she knew he wasn't going to go in and check on her. She let him go to the canteen while she went into the ICU.

She saw her sister laying on the bed unconscious, she looked like a fragile doll. Taking slow steps towards her, she went and sat beside on the seat holding her hand.

"Get well soon, akka! I don't know how many times I have to be in similar situation in my life but everytime I pray that would be the last time I would be experiencing such situation. I love you akka",she said looking at Mridula who was sleeping peacefully.

She just sat there for some more time. She didn't want to leave her sister's side, not now, never ever.

When she heard a knock on the door, she didn't know if she had to say come in or say I'm coming! While she was in a dilemma, she heard a voice.

"You should probably say I'm coming",Mridula said..
