Shrugging his thoughts, he sat down on the dining table serving himself.
"My grandson is such a pure soul and look how much of a devil kind of wife he got. Always talks back to me and today, she crossed all her limits. Let me see how she will come back into this home again",Sharan's grandmother said.
How much time does it take to have a fight? Uhm, maybe at least five minutes right?
I was just here in five minutes, like what would Mridula even say in this span of time that grandmother is offended by it so badly?
I looked at my mother who was now acting completely normal and so was my father. How come they both are not affected by it?
Anyways, instead of talking something and becoming the fool here or increasing expectations of people let me just get done quickly with my breakfast and run.
Sharan without engaging in any conversations, quickly completed his breakfast and left to his office after bidding bye to his family.
As soon as he entered his firm, he saw a few clients sitting in the waiting area while the others were talking to someone on the phone. As he came into their view, they stood up to wish him.
Giving them a small smile and a nod, he went into his cabin. Neither too classy nor too modern typish, his cabin consisted of all the things that he required and he liked keeping it minimal so that he wouldn't have to mess with things and later spend time on arranging them again.
White walls with a few frames on his side and a table in the middle of the cabin followed by his seat. He always had his picture along with his mother on his table and her smile brings him positive vibes. His personal assistant told him, he would replace that with his wife's picture.
And no, that wasn't recently it was almost five years ago. Sharan laughed at him and whenever he remembers it, poor Mr. Ishaan cries as Sharan taunts him about it in a funny way though.
Ishaan joined Sharan's office, just after his marriage and has been working since then. It didn't take him long to realise the equation between them, that was a time when his tongue slipped about it before knowing the real fact but after that he never talked about it again.
Sharan settled down in his cabin and Ishaan followed him in.
"What's my schedule for today?",he asked still looking into the files of some client. Ishaan was briefing him about his day and appointments he had.
"After lunch, the appointment who is that?",Sharan asked.
"Someone from the police department sir, I am not sure about their reason but they said that it is something confidential so we will have to wait for them to know what it is",Ishaan explained to which he nodded.
One after the other, the clients started coming in and fortunately there was no hearing in the court today so he was going to spend all his day in his office today. Working as a criminal lawyer was a challenging job that too for a soft person like him, but he learnt step by step and built his career till this point where he never had a day with no clients. Hard work always pays off and it did in his case as well.
On the other hand, Mridula was in a very cranky mood. This old woman was getting onto her nerves everyday. She hated it when someone scolded her when there was no mistake from her side. Everything she says doesn't have an affect on her but at the end of the day she is a human too and it boils her blood to hear something like that.
She had a leisure in the first hour, but the classes continued till the lunch. Once a lecturer or teacher reaches the class and starts teaching, they forget about everything that has been happening and just immerse in their world and explaining the students about it. Mridula's biggest escape from this world was chemistry.
Chemistry, the world of chemicals fascinated her from the time she first entered her science laboratory. Of course, her science teacher did play a major role when she picked chemistry as her major. She wanted to do something different in the field of chemistry, this continued till she was doing her masters and then entered a person who she never expected in her whole life to be a part of her life.
Sharan
She continued to take her class, and there was this class which was the most notorious one. She had to take a test today in that class. Picking up the test sheets from her cubicle, she walked to the class. For a change, the class was all silent today and that was quite unusual. She wished the students back and kept the test papers on the table.
Folding her hands, she started walking in between the rows of benches.
"I hope all of you are prepared for the test",she said loud enough for the whole class to hear.
"Yes ma'am",the first bench students answered. There was no response from the back bencher's side. Feeling suspicious, she went there to see what they were up to. The whole gang was sitting on the floor in the back with their head hung low.
"What are you all doing here?",Mridula asked and yet they didn't move. She tried to touch them but just at that moment, they smeared some powder on her face at a time making it difficult for her to breathe and slowly she fell unconscious.
When one student was going to call the principal, one of the persons from the gang punched that student and nobody dared to move from their places.
This was the gang which was always troubling the whole college and since their parents were from a powerful background nobody could dare to give them a suspension or scold them regarding it. Mridula, tried to put some sense into their head and that action of hers resulted in this reaction from them.
Minutes were passing and the whole class was getting tensed, the bell rang and one of the students excused from the class saying that they wanted to go to the washroom.
She informed about the situation to the other lecturers and the principal about it. Mridula was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital and they had to call Aaradhana to inform her about the incident since they only had access to that number in her emergency contact.
Aaradhana immediately started to the hospital leaving her duty, taking a leave. On her way to the hospital she didn't knew who to call and inform about it but she took a leap of faith and called up a sensible person to deal the situation.
"Hello? Sharan bava, Akka is in hospital. Can you please come over?",she said...
