"Bye! Take care and sorry for all the words nannamma said",he said and ran out closing the door behind him not giving a chance for her to reply.

"What just happened?",she murmured to herself in complete shock.

Sharan went to the car and sat inside. He closed his eyes for a second taking a deep breath. He started off  journey to his office which is in the outskirts of the city, after pushing away all the thoughts aside.

He needed to concentrate on his work right now and he would do that.

On the other hand, Mridula was still awestruck over the fact that he apologized to her, Sharan apologized to her regarding his grandmother. A wide smile crept on her face and she was beaming in happiness.

Aaradhana, who happened to come in, in the meantime was surprised to see her sister smiling to herself.

"Did you know what just happened?",Mridula said excitedly.

"Don't tell me you guys kissed. It's too early! I already missed out on too much of information, athaya told me that she talked to you but I was curious what did you both talk about? Are you guys in love already?",Aaradhana exclaimed.

"Anything else is left for you to predict?",Mridula asked to which Aaradhana nodded as no.

"You won't listen to me first, and then keep on predicting things. What am I? A joke?",Mridula asked.

"No, no, I'll keep quiet. You speak and I'll listen. Deal and my mouth sealed",Aaradhana said and acted like she was sealing her lips, locking them and throwing the keys away.

"Yeah, athaya did speak to me and it was kinda bringing me to reality to show me where was I going wrong in my personal life and I think she was right, maybe all this time I needed someone like her to tell me where I was going wrong. I also did talk to Sharan about you know, like restart our relationship from friendship again, he was kinda skeptical but he finally said yes to it after a while.

Do you know what happened just now? He apologized for whatever ammamma garu said. It might not be a big deal but to a person who is constantly taking stand for herself in such a place where she is tired of doing it now, this really really means a lot. I feel like he is changing slowly and I don't really care how long it takes for us to maintain a normal relationship with each other but this doesn't seem bad either and now you can break the seal",Mridula said.

"Huh, finally! So much happened in span of two days. Seems like my akka's life took a 360° turn. Anyways I am happy you guys are giving this relationship a chance and I can't wait to actually see you guys being happy with each other",she said with a small smile on her face.

"Also what about you and Krishna? When did this start?",Mridula asked.

"That started long ago only akka, but to realise and accept each other it took a lot of time and finally we've started to be in a relationship for last one year",Aaradhana said.

"Are you sure about it, Aaru? I mean you don't have any problem right? Are you happy?",Mridula asked.

"I am more than happy akka, don't worry! Your sister is in safe hands",she said holding Mridula's hands into hers.

"Have your dinner now, and please pass me my medicines after that",Mridula said.

"First you have your medicines and later I will have my dinner",Aaru said and looked around to find her medicines. She found a sticky note near the dressing table which was stuck to a box which had medicines in it.

"Meds are here! The ones in first partition are for morning, second one for the afternoon and the last one for the night"

Aaradhana smiled and walked to the bed where Mridula was lying down and forwarded her the box.

"I asked you to give me medicines, Aaru",she said while taking in the box in her hands and she noticed the sticky notes.

"Did you write this?",Mridula asked.

"C'mon akka, my handwriting isn't close to as beautiful as that",Aaru said.

"You mean?",Mridula asked trying to confirm her doubts.

"Well, yes madame. Bava's handwriting is different like it's a sophisticated and neat",she said.

Indeed it was. But him doing all this? Was it really friendship or sympathy because whatever happened with her?

Mridula took her medicines and as Aaradhana continued to talk while having her dinner, she dozed off just like always. Aaradhana sighed and covered her with blanket. She went to the kitchen to place her plate back but noticed Teja was there.

"Teja bava?",she called and he jumped from his place suddenly.

"Oh my goodness, you scared me! What are you doing here?",he asked while continuing to cook.

"I just came to place my plate back and dont talk loudly, people might wake up. What are you cooking by the way?",she asked climbing on to the kitchen slab.

"My girlfriend taught me to cook this white sauce pasta and I was really craving for it so I am cooking it now",he said casually not realising what he said in flow.

"You have a girlfriend?",she almost yelled to which he held his head for leaking his top secret.

"Shush, shush! You want to announce it to the world, before I do or what? Keep quite Aaradhana! If amma hears this, tomorrow I'll be homeless",Teja said.

"Fine, I won't tell anyone but will you buy me a book then?",she asked.

"Deal",both of them said and shook their hands.

As she was going to go back to room, Teja stopped her.

"Here, have this and go and don't tell about this to anyone",he said.

"Okay bava! Who is it by the way?",she asked.

"Someone, you'll know when time comes",Teja said dreamily imagining his girlfriend.

"Dramatic as always! Anyways it tastes great!",Aaradhana said to which he just smiled.

"I'll tell her about it",he said and Aaru came back to Mridula's room.

Mridula was sleeping comfortable snuggling into her blanket. Her phone started to ring disturbing her sleep. She tried to get up as she usually does but failed as her arms decided to ditch her. Taking the help of the bed side table, she got up and grabbed the phone to answer the call.

"Hello?",Mridula answered.

"Who the hell are you?",she was completely awake now and her tone turned stern. Aaradhana sat beside her with a worried face.

"Listen, whatever nonsense you are trying to speak, keep it to yourself and remember I am not a kind of person who would be scared for your threats, go ask your children why they did this to me instead trying to do what they did with other teachers. Hang up the call you cowardly piece of..",she said and cut the call.

She was breathless with anger. She tried to get up from her place but failed as Aaradhana held her and she sat back punching the bed in frustration.

"Akka, calm down! What happened? Who was it on the call?",Aaradhana asked with visible tension on her face.

"Those idiots who were cowardly enough to fire me are now threatening me saying they'll destroy me and some stupid nonsense",Mridula said spitting fire out.

"Akka, first we will need to file complaint on this nonsense and then we will see how these cowards will us threats. But ask amma and appa to be safe just in case, I'll call Krish to arrange some security",Aaradhana said as she moved out in the balcony with phone.

Mridula's hands itched to call him and inform him about it. But what if he is busy? He just left the home and only God knows how much of a mess this can be.

If this is a harmless threat, it would be a waste of his time as well. Contemplating whether or not to call him, she kept staring at the phone while numerous possibilities of why this was happening running in her brain.

Should I call him or should I not?

We just became friends, I don't want him to think that i am a clingy person and can't even deal with my problems on my own?

Maybe I should just call him? But what if he is in an important meeting? Not everyone can be jobless like me!

It's okay, Mridu. We'll see these bastards end and then get into our field again.

What if those bastards are just drunk calling me? Could be, they are of that type only.

Anyways, let me just text him if not call atleast that way he won't be able to shout again saying that you didn't even care to inform me

Sharan, I got a call from some unknown number threatening they'll destroy me and things like that. Aaru already informed Krishna regarding amma and appa's security. I just wanted to inform you regarding this. You too stay safe! Bye!

She hit the send button and put her phone aside. Aaradhana came inside, and sat beside her.

"Akka, don't worry! Krishna said he will arrange the security and all. He also asked to share that number so that he can track where the call is coming from. Please calm down, your health is not good first of all",Aaradhana said.

"I'll send him the number. You go back to sleep, you must be tired after your shift",Mridula said to which Aaradhana nodded her head and laid down beside her holding her arm tight, as though Mridula will disappear if she leaves it.

Mridula sends the number that she got the call from to Krishna and he sends her a thumbs up emoji.👍

Just when she was about to put the phone down, she gets a call from her mother. Sighing she answers the call. Aaradhana just snuggled more into the blanket holding Mridula's hand as the phone ring disturbed her.

"Yes amma, tell me",Mridula said as she answered the call.

"Mridula? What did we ever do to you that you refused from coming to your mother's home? What do you want your in laws to think that we don't look after you good enough?",the voice blasted from other side and she just stayed calm.

"First of all, your father is a heart patient and if our relatives get to know that you refused coming here, they will taunt your father. Do you want to see that? Can't we look after our daughter when she is sick at least? On top of that you made Aaradhana stay with you in your in-laws. What was the necessity?",Mridula's mother kept on going untill Mridula cut her off.

"Amma, amma calm down. I know father is a heart patient and you have blood pressure and diabetes. But I don't want to come back amma",Mridula said curtly.

"Now this was only left for me to hear! Why are you even doing this, Mridu? Is it about that day? I told you it won't be repeated again",Mridula's mother said trying to coax her.

"I want to stay in peace amma, which I know won't be possible if I come there with all your..forget it. I will come but not now when time comes. Please don't force me,amma!",Mridula said

"You have already planned and perfectly executed everything now there is nothing that I can do. I understood about that. One day you will understand what's going out of your hands, Mridula",her mother said and cut the call without letting her speak back.

Sighing, Mridula tried to sleep but the words her mother spoke were ringing in her ears. She was disturbed and really needed something to distract herself.

She tried to move, but Aaradhana's hold on her hand made it difficult for her, she slowly untangled her hold trying not to disturb her sleep.

Slowly taking the support of things in her room, she moved out of their room. Nobody was around, it was dark and she loved this darkness.

She went and sat on the couch, as she walked with the support of the wall. She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe settling down on the couch.

She let the fresh tears out, imagining everything that happened was happening again.

Her cries started slowly but she ended up wailing her heart out, Aaradhana was in a deep sleep to get disturbed with her cries and the room was sound proof.

Only Teja's room was adjacent to the living room and his door was left open. Her in laws were somewhere inside where her cries would never reach, but there was one more person who could hear her cry and came towards her.

When Mridula felt a hand on her shoulder, she turned around to find..

I am sorry, it was a bit late. I was actually struck in house hold work. It was so messy and I couldn't concentrate much in the messy surroundings so finally I am back now.
