I know you are far too ahead
In your journey to
Leave us behind.

But I wish one fine morning,
Or perhaps on one such afternoon,
Where you are tracing down your favourite lawn,
Among the beautiful garden of delphiniums
You so adored,
Under the sun's chaste kisses,
You would find it in yourself,
Somewhere deep within
Your ever so radiant heart,
Your ever so loving soul,
To forgive us,
Those who couldn't tell,
How much their own friend was
Suffering,
How much their own friend was
Bearing.

One such evening when you are laying on your back,
On those plush cushions you so loved,
With sandalwood and drifting scent of
Distant candies, chocolates and lollipops
We used to share,
I hope you find it in yourself,
To forget
All those that had hurt you,
That which had touched and left you so torn,
That you couldn't even reach out to us.
I hope you find, my sweetest love,
In yourself, the need to say good bye,
Leaving everything that has ever touched your
Bared wings with scorching heat,
Turning them into ashes,
Remnants of which we couldn't even find.

I wish my beloved friend,
In nights under the
Drapes of moonlight,
You are resting well, finally free
Of burdens that burnt your winsome heart,
I wish you are now counting stars,
The way you used to love,
I wish you are happy now
Wherever you are,
Full of mischief and wonders of
Wits that we now missed.

I wish my friend
At long last,
Your voyage had come to an end,
I wish now you are where
Your destiny takes you to,
Where you have wanted to be,
Where now you are resting well,
In peace and in love.
