There was not much sound. The subtle hissing of spray paint and the noise of traffic below was relaxing. Emil sighed, one earphone in his ear was playing a rather fast paced song and he forms himself nodding in time with the beats.
Below him, New York was wide awake against the twilight. People were on their ways home from work, out to party, or just existing. None of them bothered to notice the teenager hanging from the fire escape above them, in the middle of vandalising the building wall. Emil hummed to himself, swapping arms so that he was hanging on to the fire escape with his right and painting with his left. Poised with feet standing on the railing of the fire escape below him and with an arm gripping the floor of the fire escape above him, Emil was able to observe his work.
"Hey kid!"
Emil ignored the shout and continued painting.
"Hey! That's dangerous!"
Emil scoffed. "No shit Sherlock".
Next to him a person lowered themselves down. The male was dressed in a crudely made superhero costume, consisting mainly of blue track bottoms and a red hoodie. The mask that covered his face had a pair of goggles attached which hid the male's eyes. He was currently crouched hanging upside down next to Emil with his feet seemingly stuck to the fire escape. Emil gave him a glance and raised his eyebrow before turning back to his work.
Peter Parker was interested. He had been swinging around the city when he had spotted a figure on the edge of a building. This boy was standing on a railing above a three story drop to do graffiti. The fact that this boy was unsurprised by Peter's arrival was also weird.
His face was covered by one of those mouth masks that were popular in Asia, it was decorated with a wide smile that was honestly rather freaky. A black beanie covered his hair leaving only his eyes and eyebrows visible. From what Peter could see, the boy was tall and thin as a rake, his plain black clothes practically hanging off his figure. He seemed to be quite cute that is if his face was not covered and Peter was not upside down.
"Oh it's the spider guy", the boy droned in an monotonous voice. "The friendly neighbourhood asshat".
"That's not nice", Peter stated. "And your vandalising government property".
The boy stopped painting and turned to him. "No spider boy, it's Tony Stark's property", he drawled sassily. "And I'm not vandalising it. I'm just leaving him a message". Peter gave the building another look. It was an old storage building covered in scaffolding. The words: building for a Stark white future was displayed across a banner. Peter inwardly groaned at the terrible advert pun.
"Anyway you're vandalising so I'm going to have to give you to the police".
Those blue eyes narrowed dangerously at him and Peter almost felt scared.
"I would like to see you try". The boy seemed to smirk in challenge before turning back to his graffiti.
Peter grinned to himself and raised his arm to shoot sticky webs. A flash of blue light almost blinded him and when he had stopped blinking, the boy had disappeared.
"You will need to be faster than that to catch me spider boy", said a voice from behind him.
Whirling around, Peter raised his arm yet again only to have his vision obscured by grey spray paint. "Motherfubber !" He cursed as he tried to remove the paint from his goggles. The boy only gave a light chuckle before slapping Peter on the arse. He let out a surprised yelp and removed his googles just in time to see the boy fall backwards of the fire escape. The boy saluted at Peter before vanishing with a blue flash just before he hit the ground.
Peter sighed and lowered himself on to the floor of the fire escape. One hand tugged off his mask and he ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh, his mind still trying to comprehend what had just happened. On the wall in huge 3D style grey and black letters were the words:
Say hi to Scarlet Witch for me Tin can.
-Boo.
