Alistair now glanced at the attack.  This one was not too surprising.  Time to work another spell.

Defense: Void Absorption

Effect: Void is one of the eight class of spells.  This class focuses on the mysterious matter and energy of the universe around the user.  This spell summons miniature vortexes to take the energy of the beam and send it to another portion of the realm.  Afterward they lose their stability and fade away.

"Your power here tells me you are a formidable opponent.  While I have not seen all of your abilities, I feel this fight will not be easy."

Attack: Void slag

Effect: A dark purple sludge is shot at the enemy in an attacking orbital pattern.  Slagging an opponent in the void material does case slight damage, but the main purpose of using this attack is to weaken the target.  Slagged enemies are weaker and their attacks lose strength.  This attack makes it easier to fight an enemy.  Do not touch slag in anyway or you will be slagged.
