A large beam of pure uncontrolled energy is fired at all seven drones and the axes from the Landcrawlers many turrets.  The energy causes the drones to sort curricular, and some of them to slightly melt.  After a good blasting the turrets disactivate for recharge.

Grey put down his blade.  "I was going to get those."

The large vehicle parked at the edge of the arena and two raiders walked out.  Oswald walked over to Grey with quite a smile.

"I know you wanted to get those metal things, but I though since I was near the Rune cannons I would..."

"Shut up, brainic.  I called you and Mrs. Starling to come fight for Bomber."

"Very well watch my skills."

Attack: Runic Cane

Effect: this odd artifact has great power over mechanical devices like runes and can manipulate power.   Oswell uses it to collect all of the metal of the drones and manipulate them into an odd defensive shield.
