(Y/N's POV)

I woke up on Mina's couch the next morning. I looked around but no one was there. Assuming they got up to get dressed and eat breakfast I got up and yawned. I lifted my hand to scratch my head to realize that my hair was a mess. So I decided that I should probably make myself look decent, and went over to my bag to grab new clothes and a hairbrush.

Kaminari, taking advantage of the slippery wood floor, slid down the hallway with his socks, "Weeeee! Oh good morning Y/N-" Then he crashed into a wall.

I giggled a little bit, "Are you ok?"

"Yep," Kaminari said, rubbing his nose. "If you're gonna get dressed you should probably do it soon, Mina's making waffles."

"Oh ok, thanks for telling me." I responded.

And with that Kaminari slid back the way he came. I went into the bathroom to change and fix my hair.

Once I was done, I tried looking around to find everybody. I heard laughing coming from the porch, so I walked over there to see what was happening. There I found Bakugo, Kaminari, and Sero talking and having fun with eachother.

Bakugo? Having fun with the others? Why does that not seem normal? Oh well, at least they're happy.

"Oh! Hey Y/N!" Mina said from behind me, "Glad to see you're up! Wanna help me and Kirishima in the kitchen?"

"Uh.. yeah sure," I followed Mina into the kitchen.

When we walked into the kitchen, I saw Kirishima sitting by the counter on his phone. And he had his hair down.

"Good morning Y/N!" He said looking up from his phone, smiling.

I felt my cheeks starting to heat up. Aaahh why is he so adorable with his hair down? And his smile just makes him even more precious!

My god. I have to stop swooning over him. But he's so cute though!

While Mina was getting the waffle batter ready, she noticed me staring at Kirishima. She walked over to us and said with a smirk on her face. "You two looked pretty cute last night."

"Huh?!" My heart started racing.

Mina pulled out her phone and showed us a picture of me and Kirishima sleeping while my head was rested on his shoulder and his head was rested on mine.

I was in total shock. And I was very angry at Mina, but at the same time, kind of grateful?

I glanced over to see Kirishima's reaction to the photo, and he had a tint of blush on his cheeks.

(Mina's POV)

I figured that I could take a picture of them while they were sleeping to see what their reactions were later. Turns out, that worked spectacularly! Both of the two were blushing. They are so meant for eachother

I put my phone away. "Now, I'm sure everyone is waiting for their waffles so let's get started."

I got out my waffle iron. And started making waffles. There was silence behind me, and I wasn't surprised. I decided that I should let them have their 'alone time' so I said, "Do you think you guys could watch the waffles for a sec? I'm gonna go check on everyone outside."

I could tell Y/N was still processing what just happened, but Kirishima said, "Sure!"

"Great!" I exited the kitchen, "I'll be back soon!"

(Kirishima's POV)

Mina left the kitchen to go check on the guys. I'm pretty sure she didn't really need me and Y/N to watch over the waffles. The waffles were just fine.

I looked over at Y/N and she was bright red. I assumed it was because of the photo, but I wanted to make sure, just in case something was wrong. "You alright?"

"Oh! Me? Yeah! Totally! Nothing wrong! Perfectly fine. Thanks for asking! How about you..?" Y/N responded with a nervous laugh.

"Are you sure? You seem a little... jumpy."

She put put her face in her hands. "Sorry!"

"No! That's nothing to apologize for!" Dammit, I didn't mean to make her feel bad.

She took her face out of her hands, and looked at me. Wow, I never realized how pretty her (e/c) eyes were. In a brief moment, I felt something I've never felt before. I've always known there was something different about Y/N that separated her from the other girls, but I couldn't tell what it was. Even though I always have a good time with Bakubro and my friends, Y/N's presence seems to make me feel calm, and secure.

Y/N turned her eyes away from me. Then there was a long silence before she spoke quietly, "H-how is it so easy for you to speak up.. like.. without hesitating?"

I froze for a second, her words reminded me of how I was when I was in middle school. "It's not easy..."

She looked at me again. "When I was in middle school, a villain attacked some of the girls at my school, and I just stood by and watched it happen. My body wouldn't move. It wasn't manly at all." I told her, "So ever since then I made a promise to myself that I would never hesitate to act. Just like Crimson Riot said, 'Facing a life or death situation and being able to take a step on top of that, is what makes someone hero material.'"

"I guess I.. never thought of it that way before." Y/N said, looking down at her feet.

"So, to answer your question," I continued. "It's not easy to speak up without hesitating. But once you know what you believe in, you'll learn to face your fears."

(Y/N's POV)

I could sense inspiration in his voice. It was almost... soothing to listen to. His words were so deep and powerful, and I never would've guessed that he had an experience like villains attacking girls at his middle school. I can kinda relate to him though. Not the villains attacking my school thing, but.. not being able to move when you can save people right in front of you.

[Flashback]

(5 yr old Y/N's POV)

"Anika! Wait up!" I ran after my older sister.

"Catch me if you can!" She laughed.

"Ah!" I tripped over some rocks. As soon as Anika heard this, she turned around and ran over to me.

"Y/N, are you ok? Did you get hurt?" Anika was looking at my arms and legs trying to find any scratches.

"No, I'm ok," I said smiling, "I got you!"

"Aww no fair!" She replied with a pouty face.

I was laughing, and having fun with her. When all of a sudden, I saw a tall man standing behind Anika. "Hey there kid." He said smirking.

Anika whipped her head around, to see the man's face right up next to hers. He stayed that way for a few minutes. And in that time, I was petrified. "Well aren't you a cutie-" The man was about to grab Anika. But she used her quirk and blinded him for a few seconds.

"C'mon Y/N! Let's leave, hurry!" She grabbed my hand and ran the opposite direction of the man. All I knew, was that I had to follow Anika. She knew what she was doing. And she'd help us get away from that scary man.

When his sight came back, he saw us running away. I looked behind me and saw an angry and serious face staring back. "I guess now you know what I look like.. so I can't let you live." I heard him say. "What a shame, you two were cuties!"

He caught up to us like it was nothing, and grabbed Anika right from my hands, I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around. He pinned Anika against the ground and was about to throw a punch with both arms. That was enough time for me to get her out of there, but I was too scared to do anything. When I tried to take a step to help her, I ended up stepping backwards.

He threw his fists down on top of her, breaking her skull and ribcage. The face she made before she was smashed into the ground, will forever haunt me. That scared, helpless face. The face she made when she knew she was going to die.

He kept throwing his fists at her one after another, even after, she was gone. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I stumbled backwards. I needed to get out of there. Or else I'd be next.

I ran away as my beloved sister was being slaughtered. I could barely see where I was running, as tears blurred my vision. I ran away, not looking back. She was gone, and there was nothing I could do about it.

Anika... I'm sorry.

I will always remember you.

[Real time]

(Y/N's POV)

I felt tears come to my eyes as I remembered that dreadful day.

"Y/N? What's wrong?" Kirishima looked into my eyes with care and concern. "Was it.. something I said?"

"No! Not at all.. I just... remembered something that happened." I said.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Kirishima asked.

"No I'm fine," I said, wiping away my tears.

Then Mina came back into the kitchen. "Hey! The waffles are done! Great timing!"

Honestly, I kinda forgot about the waffles.

Mina took out the waffles and put some more in for seconds. "C'mon you two! Let's go outside with everyone else!"

Mina led both of us outside on the porch with waffles in hand. There, we sat down, and enjoyed our waffles. Kaminari practically inhaled them and was the first to ask for seconds.

The rest of the morning was pretty low key. We finished breakfast, played some video games, listened to Bakugo brag that he's better at the video games while also complaining that they're trash, and just hanging out.

Even with all that happened in the slumber party, it was a good way to calm myself before what was going to happen in a few days.
