It was nighttime of the fifth day of my internship, and I was laying on my bed, looking up at the ceiling and was tired from all the running after Kanao. We actually had a few rounds of running after her. And each one of them, I failed to catch her. I mean, I managed to get close to touch her, but I was distracted about it that I forgot to be ready for her to dodge. I also did the reflex test, but I also failed to do that one as well. 'That girl really is fast.' I thought.

Shinobu: "I'm coming in." I turned to her and she was entering the room. "How was your day?"

Y/n: "It was fun."

Shinobu: "You mean fun, as in losing the exercise against Kanao, again?" I looked at her with a serious face.

Y/n: "Very funny." She giggled. "I mean, I can't compete against her when it comes to speed, so I might have to train a little more." I sat up and saw her sitting to my right.

Shinobu: "You don't have to train that much. You just need to do the Total Concentration, Constant. Like how you're doing it right now." When she said that, I realized I was doing the breathing technique. "What you need to do is take more air inside your lungs and do it while you're asleep. Because I'm still hearing that you're being smacked around during the night." I scratched the back of my neck and looked away.

Y/n: "I-I'm learning how to sleep while doing the breathing. The girls don't hit me like at the beginning."

Shinobu: "But, you have to make progress and do it constantly."

Y/n: "I'm doing the best I can, Shinobu."

Shinobu: "You're not doing enough." I flinched. She still had her smile, but I knew pretty well that she was angry because of the anime.

Because her older sister thought that the humans and demons can coexist together. But we're not in this world, so what was the cause of it? I was going to find out.

Y/n: "Why are you mad?" She barely flinched. "You may use your usual happy tone and show that smile on your lips, but you're mad at something. What are you mad about?" Her lips parted, but then closed. Then, she stood up and headed to the door.

Shinobu: "You better sleep. You have training tomorrow." She slid the door close.

I sighed and lay back down while thinking of what could get her this mad that she couldn't tell me. I mean, I know it's non of my business, but for her to tell me to do better than what I'm doing in the way she said it, was like she was really mad at something. 'All this thinking gets me exhausted.' I closed my eyes and kept on doing the constant breathing. Then, I fell asleep.

Suddenly, I felt being hit on my torso while the triplets screamed.

Y/n: "Crap! I sat up and held my head with annoyance. "I just fell asleep and I still can't do it properly."

Sumi: "Actually, you've made progress!"

Kiyo: "You're doing a lot better than last night!"

Naho: "Keep doing your best!" I took hold of my phone and check the time.

Y/n: "I-It's..." I couldn't finished because I was shocked at the time. It was 1:49 of the morning.

Sumi: "You can do it!"

Kiyo: "We're here to help you!"

Naho: "Never give up!"

============Timeskip============

After I went back to sleep, there were no more smacking around with those stick during the night. Meaning that I'm getting better. When woke up, I decided to run at the top of the mountain without traps or anything, so I can keep making my lungs stronger. I only made 10 laps and I still wanted to make more, but I needed to save my energy for Kanao.

It was noon, and I was waiting for Kanao, Aoi, and the triplets to arrive. Once they did, they were shocked to see me.

Aoi: "You're early." I shrugged.

Y/n: "I just want to keep trying and make the best of it."

Aoi: "Ok then." I helped them prepare the futon and the table. "Go and do the stretching while I prepare the cups." I nodded and lay down on the futon.

Once again, they held my leg in place and made me bend back, and yet it was still painful. 'Zenitsu, you masochist!' I thought, remembering that Zenitsu liked being treated like this. Then, they made me lay down and make me do the split.

After they were done with all the different stretching position, I sat down and looked at Kanao, who was smiling at me. I nodded at her with a bigger smile, and she nodded.

Aoi: "BEGIN!"

I threw my hand to catch one and she blocked it. She went to grab another, and I blocked it while going to grab another. Yet again, she blocked it. She went to grab one and I blocked it, but she let go and use the other hand to take it out. I quickly use the other hand and blocked it. But, I was splashed with the medicine.

Y/n: "I can't take my eyes off of you, can't I?" My eyebrows twitched and I looked at Kanao who had the cup on her hand while shaking her head. An idea came to my mind. "Let's go again!" She put away the cup that she used and got ready.

Aoi: "BEGIN!"

She went to grab a cup first, but I blocked it. I went to grab one, but she blocked it. We went on it for a few minutes and kept my eyes on both of her hands. Then, it was time to put my plan in motion.

I went to grab both at the same time, but I lifted one the was close to Kanao first, then the other was to the far end of the table. She blocked the one close to her, but I already let go of that one and was grabbing the one close to me. She blocked the one to the far end, but I was already spraying the medicine on her face.

My eyes widened when the medicine was already dripping on her uniform. I was amazed that I made it, but also shocked that Tanjiro didn't do that to her. Yet again, the excitement was plastered on my face.

Triplets: "YOU DID IT!!!" They jumped behind me while I stood up and started to celebrate with them.

Few minutes later, I stopped saw Kanao wiping herself with a towel. I went to her and tapped her shoulder. She turned to me with the same smile that she always wear.

Y/n: "Hey, I'm sorry that I threw the medicine to you." I was scratching the back of my head. She shook her head.

Kanao: "It's part of the training." She gave the towel back to Aoi. "Want to go for a few more rounds?" I nodded and we sat down.

After a few minutes of doing the reflex exercise, which I ended up more soaked than Kanao, we were getting ready for the full-body exercise. I stretched my legs and arms to warm up a little bit.

Aoi: "Are you ready, Y/n?" I nodded. "BEGIN!!!" I started to run after Kanao and she started to flee.

'What you need to do is take more air inside your lungs...' That part of Shinobu's words echoed within my mind. So, I took more air inside my body. Then, I felt my body strengthening. More than I could've ever imagined. My veins felt like they were going to explode out of their place, my muscles were clenching, and my legs were as strong as a cheetahs.

I went to grab her hand, but she dodged and jumped up. I went past her, but I started to turn around, saw her reaching for me, and her eyes widened. I reached for her arm, took hold of her, and pulled her, but I lost my footing. So, I pulled her body closer to mine, hugged her out of instinct, and fell on my back.

I loosen my grip on her and she backed away a little with a tint of pink on her cheek. I grinned and patted her head.

Y/n: "Tag. You're it." She stood up and held her hand out for me to grab it. I did so, and stood up with her help. "Thanks." She nodded.

Kanao: "It's time for you to run." I tilted my head in confusion. Then, I realized what she meant.

Aoi: "BEGIN!!!" I started to run for my life while Kanao was chasing me.

============Timeskip============

It was finally the seventh day and it was the day that I am supposed to go to school and return the outfit, but I had one more training to do. So, I was going to head to school in the afternoon.

Right now, I was standing outside of the houses with everyone. The triplets were sitting on the fountain while Aoi was standing beside them. Shinobu was standing a few feet away in front of me while Kanao was beside her.

Shinobu: "It has finally come to the third phase of your training. Are you ready?"

Y/n: "Yes ma'am." I nodded.

Shinobu: "Alright. But first, I must congratulate you for passing the other two phases in a short time." I was confused. "Most of this training last three months at most." I was shocked when she said that last part. "Half a month at least." I was more shocked. 'I finished the phases in less than the limited time!? SWEET!' I thought with pride.

Y/n: "Thanks to all of your help, I managed to make so much progress. So, thank you all!" I bowed my body toward them.

Shinobu: "Now now. Don't thank us yet. We still have one more phase to do." I straighten myself and looked at Shinobu. "I know I said that you can pass this within a week, but I this phase is difficult. Remember when I said that you have to 'meditate'?" She did the quotation marks with her fingers, and I nodded. "Well, it means that you have to really concentrate on your feelings and let them out." I flinched a little.

Y/n: "I don't get it." She giggled.

Shinobu: "Well, that you have to reach deep down in your own feelings and let them flow in the way of your element." I tilted my head, still in confusion. "For example, Kanao can use the Breath of the Flower. Her element is based on flowers..." Then, Kanao came with a pot with dirt inside, and set it down on the floor. "...and her feelings must be channeled through her body as delicate as possible. Just like the phrase: 'Delicate as a flower.'"

I saw Kanao putting her hand on top of the dirt. Then, she lifted her hand without removing it from the position and a light purple light emitted from her hand. Like a spotlight. Then, a stem was forming out of the dirt, leaves came from the stem, red petals started to spring out from the stem. Finally, a red rose was standing tall with the same beauty that a rose can give. It was like seeing a rose grow in a video that was fast-forward.

I looked at Shinobu with amazement in my eyes and saw her holding something. It was a caterpillar. A baby caterpillar.

Shinobu: "As for me, I can use Breath of the Insect. Now, that people would say that it is not an element. But an element is a part of nature, and insects are from nature. That means that I can channel my feelings to some insects. Like the caterpillar in my hand. It's kind and gentle, but can be protective as a defense."

She put her hand over the caterpillar. A purple light emitted over the caterpillar, and the caterpillar started to grow, change color. Then, it moved to Shinobu's finger and hung upside down, bending itself until it became fully cocooned. The color of the cocoon changed and you could see it twitching from the transformation. Then, it broke and a butterfly came out and the wings dried out very quick. It flew around Shinobu.

I was so amazed that they can do something like that.

Shinobu: "This meditation that we're doing, is something new that we developed. It's not usual from where we're from, but since this world is filled with powers, or quirks, I believe that this our power." I was shocked. "The breathing styles that we use, are also our..."

Y/n: "Quirk!" I finished her sentence, and she nodded.

Shinobu: "But, there's more." I looked at her with more interest. "As what we've learned, this may also be in favor of creating, but they also can be deadly." I flinched a little. "Kanao made a rose bloom, but she can make the thorns grow out of the stem and make them poisonous enough to kill and elephant." My eyes widened. "As for me, I can make this beautiful butterfly go inside of you and kill you by enhancing it's poison." I covered my mouth before she does that. She giggled. "Don't worry, I won't do it. In your case, you can use three of the elements. Lightning, water, and fire. But the fire that you can use is more different than the Breath of Fire. So, you must be careful of when to use it."

Y/n: "Ok, but how am I able to use this elements? I mean, what kind of feelings should I use."

Kanao: "Not just what feelings, but also how to let them flow. Example..." She grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the fountain. Then, she put my hand on the water, but not in it. "...let those emotions flow in the way of the water. Feel how the water moves, make your emotions flow like the soft currents of a river." I closed my eyes and concentrated. "Use your softest memories. Think of something that is as slow and wavy."

My memories went to the time when I was laying on a tree branch while looking at the leaves, flowing with the wind. Then, to that other time when I was listening a violin playing, the way the tune moved slow and steady at the same time.

I opened my eyes and looked at my hand while remembering those soft moments. I lifted my hand and water followed it. My eyes widened in amazement. I turned around while holding my hand out and the water followed. I used my other hand to put it on the other side, cutting the 'string' of the water.

The water formed into a circle, then I made it turn into a wolf. 'A-Awesome!' I thought with a huge smile. The wolf made a howling gestured, then it started to run in mid-air around everyone. I kept my concentration on its movement and it didn't dispersed.

The girls giggled. Even Aoi was liking the wolf run around her. The wolf came to me, ran around me, then it took a dive towards the fountain. I looked at the others.

Y/n: "I gotta say, it was awesome!" They nodded.

Shinobu: "I'm glad that you managed to use one of your elements. Now, you must learn how to use the other two. Lightning must be develop by something spontaneous or enhancing all the current that the human body has. As for the fire, your fire, is something I do not know myself." I nodded.

Y/n: "Thank you. To all of you. I'm grateful for everything you've done for my training."

Everybody: "It is our pleasure!" Then, Aoi came closer to me with a smile and giving me my suitcase with my uniform in it.

Aoi: "Your outfit is different now. The leather coat has the same design as the kimono on the back, and the sleeves has a dragon design. Hope you like it." I took the suitcase and pecked her cheek. Her face turned fully red.

Y/n: "Just imagining it, it's already cool. And since it's from you, I believe that it looks awesome." She back away from me and held the side of the cheek I kissed.

Shinobu: "Also, if you don't want to use the coat, you can use the kimono instead."

Y/n: "I think I'll use the kimono in my home, so it doesn't get damaged."

I patted the triplets head, which they were happy for the praise. Aoi was already thanked. Kanao and I shook hand, but she hugged me, which surprised me. And Shinobu patted my shoulder, then my head.

Y/n: "Hey, I think I got a name for the third phase." She tilted her head. "Why not call it 'Revelation'? I mean, it revealed that we can use the breathing styles as an element of our own." She gave thought to it, then smiled.

Shinobu: "Not bad. I think we'll call it like that." I smiled and started to head to the stairs that headed to the bottom of the mountain. I stopped and turned around.

Y/n: "See you all soon!!!" I waved at them and they waved back.

Everybody: "Farewell, Demigod!!!" I chuckled at my hero name, and started to head down the stairs.
