💙Iida Tenya💙
[[Author's Note: In this world, you know you are soulmates by eye contact. You are born normally but once you hit the age 10 you become color blind. The world around you is in all shades of gray and you can only gain the sight of color once you meet your soulmate.]]
[Age : 11]
The sounds of people's shouts and screams of excitement and support filled my ears. My heart thumping loudly. My breath becoming heavy. Sweat dripping down my neck. My eyes focused on the banner in front of me. My legs running as fast as they could. Loud cheers reaching my ears which makes me run faster and faster.
"Look at our youngest and fastest female runner in the lead! No one will ever past her!" An announcer states with a hyper voice.
"You are quite right Haruto! Look at everyone's favorite runner go! She is in the lead and there is a large gap between her and her competitors!" The other announcer says as they shout in their robotic tone.
"Everyone watch this year's fastest runner in all of Japan! (y/n) (l/n)! She is just a few feet away from the finish line folks!!!" I hear Haruto cry out in excitement and thrill.
I felt my heart race faster and faster as my eyes glowed with determination with each step. I run with all my might. I was so close to the finish line. It's just a heartbeat away! I can make it!
SNAP!
I felt my legs cramp and before I knew it my body was falling to the ground as I crossed the finish line. I fall to the floor as I let out a loud painful cry groaning in discomfort. The whole crowd gasp and go quite as they witness me fall to the ground laying there crying.
"(y/n)!" I look up to see my manager and coach run over to me with my parents close behind them.
"(y/n)! Are you okay?! Can you stand up?!" My coach squats down beside me leaning over me with his hands on my back to support me.
"Honey! Oh my goodness! Gods, please be okay!" My mother weeps with worry glazing her eyes.
I try to get up by using my arms but my legs went limp. Not a single movement from my legs. I couldn't feel my legs. My mind went blank. I felt my world shatter.
Before I knew it tears were streaming down my cheek from my eyes.
"I... I can't feel my legs..." I said in a weak voice looking up at everyone.
[Age: 16]
I sit in my wheelchair staring out the window staring out at the gray lonesome sky. Everything is so bitter. So boring. All the energy I used to have an abundance of is gone. After I was notified by doctors there was no possible way to fix my legs. I would be stuck in a wheelchair for life. Luckily for me, it was just only my legs. They said I was still able to bare children if I planned to do so.
In my gray world, my happy plans are going to have to be set aside.
I sigh as I wait for the bell to ring. Finally, after a long lecture, the bell had rung signaling to everyone that it was time to go home. I grab onto my bag and hung it around the back of my wheelchair and wheeled my way out without talking to anyone.
Luckily for me, there is an elevator for me to take to get to the main floor.
I wheel my way out of school and there in the front was a white limo waiting for me. I make my way over and quickly two chauffers came out to help me inside the limo fold my wheelchair away.
"How was your day miss?"
"Boring, please refrain from asking and just take me to the hospital."
The driver sends me a nod and starts to drive away from my school.
[Timeskip]
I lay in the same old white hospital bed with the white blankets wrapped around my legs. I stare out at the window out of boredom but pulled out my phone from my school bag and began to scroll through the internet. I began to read a few articles about this hero killer and the attack on the Turbo Hero: "Igneuim". He was like me but in much worst conditions.
I knew of the Iida family. They came to one of our campaigns to raise funds to help support the relay racing for the Quirk Sport Olympics. They also sponsored my parents who use relay racing as a way to raise funds to support those with cancer and they are also participating in the research for its cure.
I lean my head back against the pillows and continued to go through the internet but ended getting bored again and decided to just rest my eyes.
[ANOTHER TIMESKIPPPUUUUUUUUU]
"I have already informed your parents. You will be sharing this room with three other people. Do not worry they are U. A. students. So socialize with them and try to open to them alright? I will have to leave to help uphold the estate. If anything were to happen, please message me," My lawyer states handing me their business card and left without another word closing the door behind them.
I sigh as I look down at my hands.
I haven't met my soulmate yet so my world was still sad in its shades of gray. I felt the empty tears stream down my cheek and drip onto my lap and fingers. I slowly hug myself crouching over where I sat.
"Why...?" my voice cracked.
Evening came around and the nurses came in with three separate people. All boys. I recognized all of them Midoriya Izuku, Todoroki Shoto, and Iida Tenya, Igneium's little brother.
They all lay in their hospital beds ever so peacefully despite all the news I just got from the nurses. I was asked to be polite and not to touch a nerve.
I sigh and I use my quirk: Esper to slide the curtains closed to isolate myself.
I fell asleep easily by listening to music and quickly gave into the depths of slumber.
"Maybe its a curse? The Handcrusher..." I hear a voice state as laughter filled my ears. I slowly fluttered my eyes open rubbing them like a child. I yawn softly moaning as I slowly got up and stretched.
"AH! I didn't know there was someone else with us!" I heard another boy squeak with his voice slightly cracking from surprise.
I fix my hair as I use my quirk sliding the curtains open still slightly tired.
"I see you three slept well. If you don't know who I am the name is (y/n) (l/n) but you can call me (y/n). Pleasure to meet your acquaintance," I bow to them.
"WOAH! Aren't you the first female and one of the youngest runners for the Quirk Olympics?!" Izuku shouts in surprise and shock yet a childish aura around him.
"Y-Yeah," I state in a low mumble.
"It is a pleasure to meet you in person. I have heard many of your honorable awards and accomplishments. My family speaks highly of you but were very sadden to hear about your leg paralysis," Iida states fixing his glasses.
Once I made eye contact with Iida all of a sudden an overwhelming feeling came over me. I stay silent as I stared deeply into his deep blue eyes.
"I..."
"You..."
"Colors," Iida and I state in unison as I felt my heart being tugged.
I felt tears stream down my cheeks and quickly looked around the room.
"I can see colors," I cried as I reached my hands out to Iida who quickly sat up but almost stumbled over because of his conditions but he finally made it over to me as he fell into my arms.
"I-Iida! You shouldn't be standing up!" Izuku cried out to his friend worried.
"Hold on Izuku," Shoto told Izuku who stopped in his treks.
Iida grabs onto my arms and held me close.
"I never thought that you would ever be this wonderful in person! My star!" He cries to me and spats out his affection without a second thought.
"But I... I can't run anymore. I can't even walk," I look away ashamed but he lifts me up to face him and quickly plants a kiss on my lips.
I felt heat rise up to my cheeks as smoke poofed out from my ears.
"I am honored to be your soulmate. I wish to cherish every moment with you my love! Please don't think so lowly of yourself! You are an amazing and beautiful person! We just met but this event this magical moment that is only shared between soulmates... It shows that we are made to be together! I love you!" He remarks to me as I sit there crying a little smiling to him.
He presses his forehead against mine nuzzling.
"I love you too..."
