Okay... but, anyone ever realize that the one most traumatized by the Reynolds Pamphlet was Maria herself? I mean, imagine being the girl this was written about, and reading it in the paper just like everyone else. Or rather have her husband read it to her because she herself was illiterate. Imagine how much more terrifying it would be for her to have James, her abuser,  reading it to her. Imagine him yelling at her and beating her just cause he can't use Hamilton as a teddy wallet any more. Imagine her leaving the house to get away from him but outside of her abusive house, in the streets, she's getting laughed at and getting insults thrown at her, and she can't escape anything, it's either go home to her abusive husband or go out and get called out in public. She had to divorce, change her name, and move to get rid of this.

I can only imagine how Maria herself felt
