I was dressed in a completely inappropriate shade of pink. It could have been almost normal -although very painful for the eye... If I had not been a six-foot-tall rugbyman about to play his most important game in the Rugby World Cup. Yes, dressed entirely in pink, from head to toe. And do not make fun of me just yet, because you still haven't heard about the chihuahua I had to carry in a girly, leopardish bag, or about the fact that my team is the most macho team that ever existed : "The Manly Shadow", people called us -TMS for short. Now you can laugh.

So there I was, not-so-manly standing before the other men, trying to answer their question -« How the hell did you end up dressed like an eighty-year-old lady showing up at a wedding she hasn't even been invited to ?! »- without making a fool of myself.

The truth was, my mommy had forced me to wear pink so that she could recognize me on the field. As for the chihuahua, it was my grandma's and she had forbidden me to let it wander alone.

However, I couldn't possibly explain that to my team, so I made something up, saying I was drunk and I had no idea what happened, and now I couldn't find my clothes, and I was allergic to dogs, and what was I gonna do, for fuck's sake ?!

- There you go, making up lies again.

That's what they told me.

After that, of course they wouldn't lend me another outfit. So I escaped. Don't judge me, I know you would have done the same. A few minutes before what could become a major turning point in my career, I just ran for it... And I was almot free when the dog, that evil bitch, decided it was the right moment to jump out of the bag and attack my car. By the time I arrived on the crime scene, it was too late, and my last speck of hope was gone. And, oh boy ! The thing she did to the brakes of the Honda !
