Mumbo woke up at 5 am, he got out of bed and started to change. The life of a son of a blacksmith isn't easy. The vampire has to wake up at insane times and has to work with lava and heavy tools, for example a hammer which Mumbo could barely hold before. He can now but he still stumbles a bit holding it.

He puts on a white shirt and black pants. Before putting on a brown apron over his outfit. He sat down on his bed as he puts on his socks. Another thing he didn't like was that he had to put on some heavy boots. Mumbo got the boots on after some miner incidents. He grabs a pair of brown gloves and puts them in.

The vampire went outside, taking in the kinda dark sky before he went over to blacksmith area. "Hi dad" Mumbo said tiredly as he rubbed his eyes. His father looked at him with a grin. "Morning son!" He said gleefully as he whacked his hammer on the anvil with a metal on it. The vampire smiled, he loved how his dad could make him less sleepily with his happy personality.

Mumbo grabbed a hammer and went over to the anvil. "Son could you continue whacking this? I need to finish off a sword for a customer. All I need to do it make sure its sharpen well" Mumbo's dad said. "Okay dad, I got it" Mumbo said trying to be confident. 'Okay Mumbo don't mess this up like less time' Mumbo thought, remembering how he fell over trying to whack the metal.

~Time Skip~

Mumbo continued to whack the iron while his dad was busy making weapons. The vampire's stomach growled and he sighs. "Dad?" Mumbo asked. "Yes my little biter" His dad said, still calling him that embarrassing name since he would always bite his dad's fingers while he was a baby. He groans but he doesn't say anything about. "I'm hungry" Mumbo said. His father frowns and thinks on what to do. "Remember my little biter, we have the cows for a reason" His dad said and Mumbo looked down.

"Bu-" Mumbo was cut off by his dad. "It's too risky to go after humans right now. Just take blood from the cows. He sighed but he knew how risky, especially since humans will kill vampires in an instant with a stake. Like what happened to his mom... "Okay dad" Mumbo said and went over to the cow pin.

The vampire looked at the cows and went over to one of them. He holds the cow down and bites the neck of it. Taking in the blood, he starts to think about what if he did go out to drink a human's blood. But he knew how risky it could be. He didn't want his dad to be alone if he's gone.

~Time Skip~

Mumbo was asleep and his pointy ears twitched at the sounds of screams. He jolted up and saw his dad bolt into his room. "Mums listen to me please" His dad said in a panicked and scared tone. "Go run to my room quickly and quietly. Then hide under my bed. Once you under there, make sure to stay as quiet as you can and cover your ears. Okay?" His dad asked his voice shaky and careful at his words. "O-Okay dad I will" Mumbo said, his voice nervous which was obvious at his voice croaking up.

The vampire immediately ran to his dad room making sure his steps were quiet. He wanted to look out the window to see what was happening but didn't. Mumbo got underneath his dad's bed and stays silent. He heard loud bangs on the door and the steps of his dad going to the door. He heard the yelling and covered his ears. He kept his breaths quiet.

An hour passed, Mumbo unplugs his ears and left his dad's room quietly. He didn't hear a more yelling or sounds of other people. He went to the front door which was wide open and he closed it. "Dad?" Mumbo said quietly and went to the living room. He saw his dad on the floor, stake in near his heart. His dad wasn't moving at all. "DAD!" Mumbo yelled and ran to his dad.

~Time Skip~

It had been a year since Mumbo's dad died, the vampire had been spending his life continuing to be a blacksmith in a different village. Since his old village found out that him and his dad were vampires. So he couldn't stay there anymore. He was currently sharpening a weapon for himself as he could need it for whenever possible danger there could be.

Once Mumbo finished sharpening the sword he looked at it. "Sharp...Perfect!" Mumbo said with a smile and straps the sword around his waist. The vampire walks back inside his house and looks around. Hopefully this new life will be better for him. Especially since he kept something from his loving dad...His goggles.

~Time Skip~

Mumbo didn't know how but the village people found out he's a vampire. He thought he hid it good! How?! How?! He never told anyone at all! The vampire was running as he heard the yelling of the people and them shooting arrows at him with their crossbows. He was breathing fast, he didn't want to die yet. This wouldn't be want his father wants.

He continued running before he hid in a cave. All the humans pasted by the cave except one. "Oh vampire~" The human said mockingly, Mumbo hid behind some rocks in the cave. "Come out" The human said, he was mocking him. "There you are" The human said, seeing Mumbo's arm. He froze and tried to run before the human shot a stake through his arm.

His arm was cut off, blood running down the cave floor and his eyes closed. All he could recall was the human laughing and leaving. After many hours, the vampire woke up and he breaths shakily and quickly. Mumbo looks down at his arm and his eyes widened. He stood up and starts to walk out of the cave.

After walking so long, he found another village. A man saw him and his eyes widened. "Oh my your arm. Oh come here" The voidrian said and pulled him to his house. Mumbo didn't budge and let the stranger pull him inside. After some long minutes, the vampire had a robotic arm. "Woah...H-How did you do that?!" Mumbo said impressed. The man laughed. "Just some experience" The man said with a smile

Mumbo saw a boy behind a wall, he was about his age.(Little note: Mumbo isn't like many years old he's still young, his dad was many years old, not him) "Come here bud" The voidrian said and the voidrian went there Mumbo. "H-Hi I'm Xisuma" Xisuma said quietly. "Nice to meet you Xisuma, I'm Mumbo" Mumbo said with a smile.

There's even his robot arm which was kinda difficult to figure out how to make. If you think Mumbo's and Scar's past have been angsty oh wait until we get to the next three ;)
