Scar woke up in his room, his parents are pirates but they're never home so he lives with his grandparents. The vex hybrid touched his wings and frowns. "My parents aren't vexes, why am I?" Scar mumbled quietly, was he really a mistake to his parents? He heard his grandma call him and he got out of bed.

Scar went to the kitchen and sat in a chair. "There's my boy" Scar's grandma said, she places down a plate of food and a cup of orange juice. "Thank you grandma!" Scar said happily and started eating. He heard his grandpa come downstairs and yawned. "Morning grandpa!" Scar said cheerfully. "Morning sport" Scar's grandpa said and messes with his hair.

The vex hybrid giggled and continued eating his breakfast. He saw his grandpa and grandma sitting down and started eating as well. After Scar finished his breakfast, he grabbed his plate and cup and started to wash them. Once he finished he went upstairs and played with his plush cat. "Hi Jellie! Guess what mom and dad are coming today! Maybe this time we can talk like a family! Maybe they'll let me play with them!" Scar said happily.

He puts Jellie down and got changed into his clothes. After an hour, the vex hybrid heard the front door open. He ran down door stairs with Jellie. "Mom! Dad!" Scar said with a massive smile. "Hey s-son" Scar's dad said with a forced smiled. Scar's mom didn't say a word and just gave an also forced smiled. Obviously Scar didn't notice their force smiles, he was a child he didn't know better.

After a while him and his parents went to the market to get food. The vex hybrid forgot to bring Jellie as he was too unfocused and since his parents didn't alone him. As they walked, Scar looked around the booths of stuff. He was always confused on why he had to wear a cape that has a hood with it. Why does he have to cover up his vex horns and tail? People would still like him even if he didn't have them right? All these people he met with his grandparents would still like him right?

~Time Skip~

Scar and his parents came back from the market and they put all the groceries away. A few hours passed and it was now night time. The vex hybrid changed into his sleep wear and grabbed his plush cat. He puts on a hoodie since it was cold and which covers his vex tail and horns. He laid down on his bed and fell asleep peacefully. Having sweet dreams on what he can do tomorrow with his parents, maybe finally to be able to have a connection with them!

After a few hours he woke up to the smell of smoke. "Huh?" Scar mumbled sleepily before his grandpa barged into his room. "Grandpa what's happening?" Scar asked as his grandpa picked him up and ran outside with him. The vex hybrid held onto Jellie confused. "Don't worry about it bud, just stay here" His grandpa said and ran back inside into the fire. Scar was confused but listened and stayed outside.

The vex hybrid notice his parents trying to get rid of the fire. He was confused what was happening, he looked at the windows and saw his grandparents upstairs. Scar saw that they were trying to get down, he waited to run in and tell them to get out of the house. But he remembered what his grandpa said and stayed put, clinging onto his cat plush Jellie.

After a few minutes, he saw his parents screaming and crying. 'What happened? Why is mama and papa upset? And where is grandma and grandpa?' He thought confused. The vex watched as some of the town people come and comforting his parents and the town priest hugs Scar. What is happening?

"Where is grandpa and grandma?" Scar asked to the priest. The priest looks at him trying to not cry. "They are in a better place buddy they are in a much better place now" The priest said and lets go of Scar before going over the vex hybrid's parents. He heard the priest say something about how sorry he is for their loss. What loss?

~Time Skip~

It was a year after the death of his grandparents, his parents didn't treat him as kindly like a parent should. They called him a monster just because he's a vex hybrid, they sometimes hit him but didn't go as far to do abuse. The three mostly lived in a pirate ship since that's what his parents wanted. Eventually the vex hybrid wasn't able to take it anymore. On time, Scar packed up his stuff and puts on his clothes in a bag.

The ship was luckily parked on a dock so he got off the pirate ship quickly and quietly. Before making a run for it once he got on the ground. He kept running and running until he got far away. The vex hybrid sat down and slowly starts to pant after running for so long.

Scar heads something through the bushes and immediately stands up, going in a defensive stance. Through the bushes a small cat came out with a confused meow. "Awwww look at you cutie" Scar said with a chuckle. The cat went over to him and purred on his leg. He chuckled and picked the cat. "You remind me of my plush cat, Jellie" Scar said, he took his plush out of his bag.

Which the cat immediately started to meow at the name. "You like that?" Scar asked and the cat purred happily. "Well then I shall call you Jellie! Queen Jellie!" Scar said cheerfully with a big smile as he pets Jellie gently. And from that day on Jellie and Scar were together forever. They never could be separated by anyone. A cat and a vex the bestest of friends!
