The day on the ocean was perfect—calm waters stretching endlessly under a bright, clear sky. The sun glistened off the surface, creating a shimmering trail that seemed to lead to the horizon. A gentle breeze carried the fresh scent of saltwater, and the rhythmic sound of waves lapping against the boat provided a peaceful soundtrack. The air was warm but not oppressive, a gentle warmth that kissed the skin without overwhelming it. Seabirds soared above, their calls adding to the serene atmosphere.

As the Flying Jellie glided smoothly, the world felt vast and untouched, a reminder of nature's quiet majesty. The sea was alive, with glimpses of playful dolphins darting alongside and the occasional splash of a distant whale breaking the surface. Time seemed to slow down, the worries of life fading away as the peacefulness of the ocean took over. It was a day of pure tranquility, a perfect escape into the open waters where the mind could rest, and the soul could breathe.

Once the ship had docked somewhere near a village shore, Scar, Impulse, and Mumbo had gotten off. They had gone shopping for groceries in the markets. Which meant Pearl and Grian were left to watch the ship in case away tried to rob them. The dove avian was humming as she swept the ship floors. While the parrot avian was sitting on the railings of the ship, an obvious frown plastered on his face. The other noticed and went over to him.

"Brother? Are you okay? Pearl asked, worried for her brother. Grian sighed and pats the railings. She took the hint and sat down next to him. "I just-" Grian silence himself not waiting to finish his sentence. "Griba..." Pearl said and held his hand, wanting him to speak. "I just love him, Pearlie...I love him so damn much" Grian said, the dove avian immediately knew he was talking about Scar.

"I know you do" Pearl said and gave her brother a hug. "I'm happy you admitted it after so long of denying it, it was killing me how long you were in the closet for" Pearl said, trying to lighten the mood. The parrot avian smiled a bit. "Oh hush" Grian said with a chuckle. "But seriously if you love him, what was stopping you from accepting it?" Pearl asked.

"I- I don't know...I was just scared about me accepting it, I thought that if I accepted it then..." Grian trailed off as he looked down. "Then it would ruin your friendship with Scar?" Pearl asked. The smaller man's eyes widened, 'H-How did she know!?' Grian thought. "Sibling senses" Pearl said nonchalantly.

"YOU HEARD MY THOUGHTS?!" Grian exclaimed and would've fallen off the railing if the taller woman grabbed him before he flew. "Watch where you try moving, you would've fallen into the ocean if I didn't grab you in time" Pearl said with a playful tone. The other still being in shock Pearl could hear his thoughts. "There there" Pearl teased, patting the parrot avian's back.

"Since when could you hear my thoughts?" Grian asked, trying to not yell from shockness. The dove avian simply shrugged as her answer. "You surprise me every day sis" Grian said. The taller woman simply rolled her eyes. "Back to you accepting your feelings for Scar after so long" Pearl said.

The smaller man groans before speaking. "Well you are right about saying I was scared to accepting if it meant ruining my friendship with Scar" Grian said as he saw the other nod, he took it as for him to continue. "And I didn't want to happen because Scar is such an amazing friend. But obviously I see him more as that" Grian said.

Pearl hummed at what he said. "Why don't you just tell him?" Pearl asked. His eyes widened immediately. Are you kidding me! He would immediately reject me if I did!" Grian yelled. "Griba, Scar isn't like that. He's way too nice to flat out reject you harshly" Pearl said, 'Also because the man literally has a crush on you' Pearl thought. "Are you sure?" Grian asked.

"I'm sure" Pearl said and gave her brother a side hug. "You better hope you're right because I don't want to be crying my eyes out if I get rejected" Grian said and leaned into his sister's side hug. "Of course I'm right! When am I not right?" Pearl said playfully. The parrot avian rolled his eyes playfully. "Yeah yeah no need to rub it in my dear sister" Grian said.

"Wait so if you and Scar ever get together and get married, that'll make him my brother in law" Pearl said with a playful tone. The smaller man's face goes red. "PEARL!" Grian yelled embarrassed and hits the back of Pearl's head. "I'm not wrong dear baby brother" Pearl said, being all smug about it.

Grian grumbled and buries his head in his hands. The taller woman chuckles. "Well aren't you adorable when you are embarrassed" Pearl teased. "Pearl!" Grian yelled even more embarrassed. "Oh I can't wait for that day you finally confess" Pearl said, continuing to tease her brother. "I hate you" Grian said and groaned.

"No you don't" Pearl said. The parrot avian sighs. "I hate how you are right" Grian said. The dove avian chuckled and pats Grian's back. "Hey sis?" Grian asked, having a mischievous idea to get his revenge from her teasing. "What's up?" Pearl asked confused. 'You want to tease me? Then two can play this game' Grian thought.

"So Gem...Is she really just a friend?" Grian asked with a hint of a teasing tone. "I'm about to murder you" Pearl mumbled under her breath. "Yeah but like-" Grian was cut off by the other punching him in his stomach. He fell back and groans. "Okay okay! I get it" Grian said and holds onto his stomach. "Good" Pearl said with a sigh.
